DCLM Daily Manna – Fury On Rebels

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 13 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Fury On Rebels

TOPIC: Fury On Rebels (DCLM Daily Manna 13 September 2022)

TEXT: Ezekiel 20:1-9 (KJV)

1 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the Lord, and sat before me.

2 Then came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,

3 Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Are ye come to enquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be enquired of by you.

4 Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:

5 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the Lord your God;

6 In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:

7 Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

9 But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

KEY VERSE: “But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt” (Ezekiel 20:8).

MESSAGE:

According to Charles R. Swindoll, “When a man refuses to yield himself to God, he creates certain conditions, not only for himself but for others as well, which God has ordained for harm… The absence of God is destructive to human life. That absence is God’s wrath. And God cannot withhold it. He sets man’s sin and His wrath in the same frame.”

Certain elders of Israel, in our text, came to Prophet Ezekiel to inquire from the Lord of the affliction they were going through. The Lord, through the prophet, informed them that they did not need to inquire of Him but to cast off their abominations and forsake the idol of Egypt. The Lord had given Israel this warning whilst they were in the wilderness but they rebelled and would not hearken unto Him. Though the Lord promised to pour out His fury upon them to accomplish His anger, He restrained Himself because of His name’s sake that it should not be polluted among the heathen.

This shows the merciful nature of the God we serve. But the problem with man is that he always misconstrues this merciful characteristic of God. He forgets that He is a consuming fire and that He is able to unleash judgment upon the rebellious in accordance with their deeds. Wrongdoers, if they fail to repent, will taste of God’s fury.

It is imperative that we heed God’s warnings and steer clear of abominations and idolatry. Failure to do so will lead to condemnation and judgment. We must avoid the mistakes of the nation of Israel, who pretended to seek God’s will while they practically disobeyed it. God loves sincerity. Hypocrites cannot abide in His presence. We need to seek Him with a genuine heart and motive before we can find Him.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Rebellious and unrepentant sinners will taste God’s fury.

TREM Devotional – The Just Shall Live By Faith

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 12 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – The Just Shall Live By Faith

TOPIC: The Just Shall Live By Faith (TREM Devotional 12 September 2022)

“…But the just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4 KJV

MESSAGE:

Why is it that believers do not get manifestations? One of the answers to the above questions can be found in the book of Hebrews 1:6: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

A lot of Christian want to please God but the word of God says you cannot please Him without faith. Outside faith, there is no way you can please God. Whoever comes to God must believe that He is! The bible doesn’t say you will see that He is. It doesn’t say until you touch Him. No. You should believe that He is. Without your faith, it is impossible. Believe that God is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.

God does not play on word. If the Bible says it is impossible, it means it cannot happen if you have to go by your senses: by what you see, by what you hear, by what you taste, by what you touch, and the things you smell. God is saying: if that is the way you want to live you cannot experience the supernatural.

So, faith is so important when it comes to our relationship with God. Paul emphasized this in his epistle to the Romans. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17 KJV).

It is faith in the gospel that produces power. Right standing has been revealed from faith to faith.

Not from faith to doubt. So, the just must live forever by faith. If you are the just and if you are a believer, you are to live your life by faith, not by sight. You are to live by God’s word. Not by your sight and not by your feelings.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Tithing: What God Expects From You

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 12 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Tithing: What God Expects From You

TOPIC – Tithing: What God Expects From You (Seeds Of Destiny 12 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: What sorrow awaits you Pharisees! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore justice and the love of God. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things. Luke 11:42 (NLT).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you pay tithe but ignore justice and the love of God, it is not acceptable before God.

MESSAGE:

The Scripture makes it clear that tithing was confirmed and commanded by the Master in the New Testament. Luke 11:42 says,
But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

The New Living Translation renders Luke 11:42 thus:
What sorrow awaits you Pharisees! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore justice and the love of God. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.

Pease take note of the statement: You should tithe, yes…
This means that the tithe was confirmed and commanded by our Master Jesus Christ in the New Testament. The Pharisees were careful to tithe but they ignored justice. That was not right.

Now, how does this apply to our lives today? A Christian brother may move about breaking the hearts of young ladies but claims to be paying tithe in church; he knows that he would not marry the lady he is deceiving, yet he keeps wasting her time. That is evil. Some people even steal from their places of work and use part of the money to pay tithe. God does not accept such a tithe.

Beloved, when you pay tithe but ignore justice and the love of God, it is not acceptable before God. When we pay tithe but neglect other important things like righteousness and justice, God will not receive our tithe.

Remember this: When you pay tithe but ignore justice and the love of God, it is not acceptable before God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to be swayed by the current misconceptions about tithing, especially on the social media.
  2. Let the Word of God be your guide on all issues, especially on the matter of the tithe.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for opening my eyes to see another dimension of the tithe. I receive the grace to pay my tithe always and to connect with what is in Your Hands for me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE POWER TO GET WEALTH

QUOTE: Do not spend the money that enters your hand until God has been given His portion. That portion is what is called ‘the tithe’. Culled from “21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Daniel 7-9.

AMAZING FACT: Your bone is stronger than steel. The block of bone the size of a match box can support up to 18,000 pounds of weight.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The grace to tithe acceptably in holiness and righteousness is released upon you in Jesus Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – The Lord Knows Your Situation

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 12 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Lord Knows Your Situation

TOPIC: The Lord Knows Your Situation (DCLM Daily Manna 12 September 2022)

TEXT: 2 Kings 14:17-28 (KJV)

17 And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.

18 And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

19 Now they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem: and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.

20 And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.

21 And all the people of Judah took Azariah, which was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.

22 He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.

23 In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, and reigned forty and one years.

24 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

25 He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher.

26 For the Lord saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.

27 And the Lord said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

28 Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

KEY VERSE: “For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel” (2 Kings 14:26).

MESSAGE:

When you look at birds in a cage, you will notice that these creatures entirely depend on those who feed them. They cannot help themselves; if grains and water are not supplied, they will die. Yet, they sit and sing with all their might. They never think that their keeper will fail them.

From the text, we read of the reign and death of Amaziah in Judah and the coronation of his son Azariah, who built Elath and restored it to Judah. During the reign of Jeroboam II, the son of Joash, he did evil in the sight of the Lord but he was used to restore the coast of Israel, from the entrance of Hamath to the sea of the plain. This was done to fulfil the word of the Lord, which He spoke through Jonah, the prophet. He had compassion on Israel because of their affliction and they had no one to help them. That being the case, God used Jeroboam to restore the coast so that Israel could return and inhabit the land without fear.

Believers in Christ, though assured of God’s continual favour, protection and other manifold blessings, may have experiences contrary to what they expect. Most times, these stormy situations are orchestrated by the devil to divert their attention from what the Lord has ordained them to do and to divert the plan of God for their lives.

The Lord, in His infinite knowledge and mercies, has made available to you many promises in the Bible, which you can hold on to in times of turbulence. You need to trust the Lord and rely on His precious promises no matter what betides. Remember, God knows your situation. His mighty providence cannot fail as long as you commit yourself and your needs to Him in faith.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God’s providence never fails His children at any time.

TREM Devotional – We Are Already Blessed

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 11 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – We Are Already Blessed

TOPIC: We Are Already Blessed (TREM Devotional 11 September 2022)

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ;…” Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Our Lord Jesus Christ was not killed. He gave up Himself! He was not murdered! He willingly gave Himself up as a sacrifice. He said if there was any other price needed to be paid let it come upon Him. And when there was no more left, he now said it is finished. The justice required to release mankind has been satisfied.

The holiness of God that makes you speak and it comes to pass has been revealed. And of course, right there, man became a recipient of the righteousness of God. It is no more a struggle. Jesus became a gift unto us. Ephesians 1:3 declares: “Blessed be the Lord God, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”. Notice that the word blessed is past tense, meaning God has already blessed us. He hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

We are not going to be blessed or waiting to be blessed. We are already blessed by the reason of the price paid.

The blessing of God is empowerment. It has been made available in every area of your life. You are blessed! Always declare it to yourself that you are blessed. According to the book of 2Peter 1:2-4: “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and Jesus our Lord, according to as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises…” God has already given us everything that pertains to life. It is already yours in Christ. And there is nothing the devil can do about it. The price has been fully paid. Receive it and thank Him for the blessing.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Products Of Association

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 11 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Products Of Association

TOPIC: Products Of Association (Seeds Of Destiny 11 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Proverbs 13:20.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Who you walk with determines what you can dare.

MESSAGE:

In life, the place of association, especially quality association, cannot be undermined if destiny must be fulfilled. While some people’s lives have been marred by wrong association, others are made because of quality association.

In our study today, I will give you two products of association:
i. Company determines belief and mind-set.
Proverbs 13:20 says, He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Your belief is always in line with that of anyone you walk with. You begin to think like your friend. That is why you should Love everybody but never manage any relationship in terms of friendship. If a relationship is not working, don’t force it to work.

ii. Association affects action.
Who you walk with determines what you can dare. You begin to dare things like them. You begin to take similar steps with people you hang around with. So, if you hang around faith people who dare dangerous things, risky things with drastic results, you will do likewise.

Judges 7:17 says,
And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.

You know, as an adult, if you physically take a walk with a toddler, your single step is the toddler’s many steps. And walking with a toddler limits your movement because the steps of a toddler are micro steps.

Beloved, make up your mind to make progress in this season by engaging in quality, productive association.

Remember this: Who you walk with determines what you can dare.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Ask God to give you quality association.
  2. Choose your association carefully. Associate with people that will take you to your destiny.

PRAYER: Thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask that You give me good and quality association, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: KEEPING FAITH ALIVE (PT 2)

QUOTE: Disconnect from every wrong association. Don’t follow them to hell if they won’t follow you to Heaven. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Daniel 4-6.

AMAZING FACT: More than half of your bones are located in the hand, wrist feet and ankles.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The grace to associate correctly and profitably be released upon you in Jesus Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Sin Hinders Prayers

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 11 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — By Sin Hinders Prayers

TOPIC: Sin Hinders Prayers (DCLM Daily Manna 11 September 2022)

TEXT: Ezekiel 20:27-38 (KJV)

27 Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.

28 For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.

29 Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? And the name whereof is called Bamah unto this day.

30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?

31 For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be enquired of by you.

32 And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.

33 As I live, saith the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.

35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God.

37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:

38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

KEY VERSE: “For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you” (Ezekiel 20:31).

MESSAGE:

Prayer is a great gift from God, which many saints of old have made effective use of, to rewrite destinies, restructure situations and turn around negative circumstances.

In our text, Israel had gone into idolatry and built high places where they go to worship idols and make their sons to pass through the fire. They forgot the mighty deliverance from Egypt and the disobedience of their fathers which led to their destruction in the wilderness. Whenever they were oppressed by other nations, they would remember God and seek Him temporarily. The Lord, in His wrath, pronounced judgment on the rebels and refused to be enquired of by them.

Truly, sin is the greatest hindrance to prayers and a greater enemy of the soul than the devil himself. It is the root cause of sicknesses and afflictions. It exposes the sinner to satanic manipulations and demonic influences. God told the children of Israel, “Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you” (Jeremiah 5:25). Sin will block the way to progress and promotion for anyone who indulges in it. Little wonder many prayers are not answered today.

The quickest way to get out of satanic bondage and affliction is to come out of sin. Salvation is strictly a personal experience. It is not transferable or obtained by proxy. The sinner must confess his sins and forsake them. Those who have right standing with God do not need intermediaries to talk with Him; all they need is simple faith. By so doing, their prayers will be steadily answered and situations changed.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The greatest hindrance to prayers is sin; not Satan.

TREM Devotional – It Is Finished

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 10 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – It Is Finished

TOPIC: It Is Finished (TREM Devotional 10 September 2022)

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost” John 19:30 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

As believers, there are questions in our hearts that beg for answers. What is finished? What is the thing that He had finished? If God has truly blessed us and has done everything for us and it is finished, why are we still not getting the answers? Why are we not seeing the manifestation? Why doesn’t the manifestation come immediately? Why does it take some time? Why the challenges? These questions keep popping here and there.

The truth is that God has not left us without a witness. When Jesus said it is finished, He was saying that the claims of the entire judgement that is required for the release of mankind have been paid for.

Every judgement that was required was received by Him. He received the whole lot of them. The judgement for the sin of the whole world was laid upon Him. He received the judgement for sickness, the judgement for disease, and the judgement for anything that hell can offer, on His own body.

So, justice was satisfied through His death. And not only was justice satisfied, but God’s holiness was also revealed. The holiness of God and His righteousness was made available to mankind. By the reason of the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ, you can now stand right before God at all times. This awesome blessing was made available to everyone who believes. There is no more struggle because the price has been paid. That is why He cried “IT IS FINISHED”. And after that, He gave up the ghost.

Your part is to believe and rest in what Christ has already accomplished on your behalf. And continue to function in a greater dimension of assurance because you know it is finished. If any man be in Christ, he is a brand-new species of being that has never existed before. You are special. You are treasured. The hand of God is mightily upon your life.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Personal Joy And Excitement In Soul Winning

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 10 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Personal Joy And Excitement In Soul Winning

TOPIC: Personal Joy And Excitement In Soul Winning (Seeds Of Destiny 10 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. – Luke 15:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The easiest way to have personal happiness is to contribute to the happiness of heaven by winning souls.

MESSAGE:

The Scripture makes it clear that the salvation of souls is a trigger for joy in heaven.

Luke 15:10 says,
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

We thank God for the miracles, signs and wonders that we see in our days. We thank God for the miraculous opening of blind eyes and the healing of deaf ears.

However, I have never read or seen in Scriptures that, for every lame man that walks, heaven rejoices; or that for every deaf ear that opens, heaven rejoices.

What the Scripture says is, for every sinner that repents, there is jubilation in heaven. This means, soul winning makes heaven happy. And whatever a man sows, he shall reap.

Galatians 6:7 says,
….for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Therefore, you cannot sow joy in heaven by winning souls and not reap joy on earth. You cannot make heaven happy, and then the devil makes you sad on earth. The easiest way to have personal happiness is to contribute to the happiness of heaven by winning souls.

Every time people give their lives to Jesus Christ through your life, you have thrown a party of jubilation in heaven. Every time you preach to your colleagues at your place of work and they give their lives to Christ, you trigger happiness in heaven. Every time you lead your siblings or relations to Christ, you trigger jubilation in heaven.

So, we must be committed to soul-winning because it triggers joy and excitement in heaven, and that in turn brings personal joy and excitement to our lives.

Remember this: The easiest way to have personal happiness is to contribute to the happiness of heaven by winning souls.

DCLM Daily Manna – By Choice, Not By Chance

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 10 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — By Choice, Not By Chance

TOPIC: By Choice, Not By Chance (DCLM Daily Manna 10 September 2022)

TEXT: Ezekiel 20:10-26 (KJV)

10 Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.

13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

14 But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.

15 Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;

16 Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

17 Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.

18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

19 I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;

20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God.

21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

22 Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.

23 I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;

24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.

25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;

26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the Lord.

KEY VERSE: “And I gave them my statutes, and showed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.” – (Ezekiel 20:11).

MESSAGE:

Israel, the chosen nation, was delivered by God’s strong and mighty hand from Egyptian bondage and taken to a land flowing with milk and honey. Instead of being grateful for their deliverance and live in obedience to His commandments, Israel rebelled and went into idolatry. The statutes and judgments given by God were for the well-being of the people. The Sabbaths were also given as a sign between God and the nation to make them know that He is the Lord that sanctified them. Israel’s choice of rebellion and disobedience incurred God’s wrath and many of them perished in the wilderness.

Life is about choices, which shape our lives. There are choices over which you have no control such as when, where and how you are born; the family you are born into, your life during childhood, the schools you attend as a growing child, and so on. Aside these, there are several other significant choices you make in life, which have the potential to transform you. Therefore, there is need to be wise in your choices.

The most important life-impacting choice everyone has to make is where to spend eternity, with no opportunity to change one’s mind after death. Today, you have a choice of living according to the word of God, obeying His statutes and commandment or living to suit yourself.

Many, who have not been saved, live in self-will, rebellion and disobedience to the commandments of God. But the great day of God’s wrath is coming. A sinner must make a choice to repent and receive forgiveness from God, live in obedience and yield completely to His will. That is the only way to avoid His impending wrath on unrepentant sinners and backsliders.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Choices shape life and determine eternity.

TREM Devotional – Embrace The Spirit And Walk In The Light

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 9 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Embrace The Spirit And Walk In The Light

TOPIC: Embrace The Spirit And Walk In The Light (TREM Devotional 9 September 2022)

“Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The word of God is Spirit and Life. The same Spirit helps our infirmities. The Holy Ghost helps our weaknesses and limitations. He helps our inability to comprehend. He helps our shortcomings in any area of our lives. And because the Holy Ghost is always standing by to help us, all things work out together for our good. Nothing works against the believer. No matter what you are encountering, just pray in the Holy Ghost and keep yourself in the love of God. “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”(Jude 1:20-21 KJV).

Always remind yourself of God’s love. God’s love is infallible, errorless, unconditional, irreversible, iron-clad and blood-bought. The love of God for us never fails. And let your heart be filled with the understanding that God is merciful. No matter what, remember His loving kindness and tender mercies. “…while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8 KJV). What an assurance! Christ died for us!

Today, I want to encourage you to stick to the word. Bury yourself in it! Read the epistles! Seek the promises of God that had already been paid for on your behalf! See your picture in the word. Look at Jesus in the gospel and see yourself in Christ because in Him we live and move and have our being. We are complete in Him! As He is, so are we. There is no difference!

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Heartbeat Of God

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 9 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – The Heartbeat Of God

TOPIC: The Heartbeat Of God (Seeds Of Destiny 9 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you win souls, you touch the Heart of God.

MESSAGE:

As children of God, it is our obligation to win souls for the Kingdom of God. Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary so that lost souls can be saved. And for souls to be saved, we must reach out to them (Romans 10:14).

1 Corinthians 9:16 says,
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

Necessity is therefore, laid on every child of God to win souls.
Now, the question is: why is it necessary to win souls? Let me give you one reason:

Soul Winning is the Heartbeat of God.
One reason we must win souls is that soul winning is the Heartbeat of God. To go for souls is to engage in an activity that touches the Heart of God.

2 Peter 3:9 says,
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

When you win souls, you touch the Heart of God. That is why it is not possible for God to ignore a soul winner. God paid a very high price for the salvation of the souls of men. That price was the offering of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, on the Cross of Calvary (John 3:16).

Beloved, when you touch the Heart of God by winning souls, God will touch your life by meeting your needs.

Remember this: When you win souls, you touch the Heart of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make soul winning a priority in life.
  2. Make up your mind to see to the establishment and discipleship of the souls you win for God.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to do what pleases You. I receive the grace to win souls and establish them, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

AMAZING FACT: After long periods of time traveling through space, an astronaut’s heart becomes almost 10% more spherical according to experts, this is due to the exposure to microgravity over an extended period of time.

DCLM Daily Manna – Modelling The Right Behaviour

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 9 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Modelling The Right Behaviour

TOPIC: Modelling The Right Behaviour (DCLM Daily Manna 9 September 2022)

TEXT: 2 Kings 15:27-38 (KJV)

27 In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.

28 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.

30 And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

31 And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32 In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

33 Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

34 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

35 Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the Lord.

36 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

37 In those days the Lord began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

KEY VERSE: “And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.” – 2 Kings 15:34.

MESSAGE:

The process of teaching by example is called modelling. It is the best form of child training as it moulds children’s behaviour more than issuing commands and far more than corporal punishment. When parents fail to model biblical and godly behaviour before their children, they will be confused and misled; and as a result, they will become unprofitable to God, their parents and the society.

The passage today reveals the lives of two kings of Judah and Israel. Pekah, the son of Remaliah who reigned in Israel, did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He continued in the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin by worshipping idols. Pekah modelled his reign after Jeroboam. Reigning almost simultaneously with Pekah was Jotham, the son of Uzziah. His mother’s name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok, the priest. He “did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done”. Jotham modelled his life and reign after his father and godly mother.

Modelling Christian virtues such as honesty, respect, meekness, goodness, love, forgiveness, patience, giving, compassion, etc., is crucial to effective parenting. Just as Jesus Christ is the perfect Model for all Christians to emulate, every Christian parent ought to be a model or pacesetter, who influences their children in positive ways according to biblical standards.

You can never model biblical behaviour until you realise that godly parenting is a ministry full of different experiences. Therefore, allow God to teach you how to impact your children’s lives through a practical Christian lifestyle.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Be a biblical model children can imitate.
