DCLM Daily Manna – There Is A Record

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 17 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — There Is A Record

TOPIC: There Is A Record (DCLM Daily Manna 17 September 2022)

TEXT: 2 Kings 15:13-26 (KJV)

13 Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.

14 For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

15 And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

16 Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

17 In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.

18 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

19 And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

20 And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

21 And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

22 And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.

24 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

25 But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.

26 And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

KEY VERSE: “And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy …, they are written in the book of chronicles of the kings of Israel. And the rest of the acts of Manahem and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah…” – (2 Kings 15:15,21,26).

MESSAGE:

In Washington, USA, there is a pair of scale maintained by the government that is so sensitive to record the weight of paper and what is written on a paper separately. If the technological prowess of mortal man could develop such a delicate equipment which could “see” the weightless “weight” of the word written on a paper, would God’s superior knowledge not notice the most imperceptible of man’s activities?

The text reveals the reign of three kings of Israel who reigned at different times in the history of Israel. Their activities were recorded in the chronicles of the kings of Israel. King Shallum, the son of Jabesh reigned for only a month before he was slain by Menahem, the son of Gadi who reigned in his stead. Menahem reigned for ten years in Samaria and perpetuated evil in the sight of the Lord, following the example of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat. His son, Pekahiah succeeded him and continued in disobedience to the word of the Lord. His reign was short-lived, as he was murdered by his captain, Ramaliah. All the activities of these kings, whether short or long, were all recorded.

Man sometimes thinks he can hide so securely in the bunker of philosophical, scientific and technological inventions, believing God cannot see through. They forget that God is omniscient; He sees and knows everything.

Jesus Christ, the great Judge, will judge everyone in righteousness according to their works. Those found wanting, who have not repented of their sins and accepted Him as Lord and whose names are not recorded in the book of life would be punished. People, whose names are found in the Book, will spend eternal bliss with Christ in heaven. We, therefore, need to live under the consciousness of God’s presence every day of our lives.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God keeps infallible record of men’s action.

TREM Devotional – The End Of Self Is The Beginning Of God

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 16 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – The End Of Self Is The Beginning Of God

TOPIC: The End Of Self Is The Beginning Of God (TREM Devotional 16 September 2022)

“And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.” Matthew 23:12 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

God wants self to end. He wants self-exaltation, self-achievement, and self-aggrandizement to be dead. Every one that exalts himself shall be abased and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

That is the way it works in God’s Kingdom.

The end of self is the beginning of God. The “What I have done” mindset is why more unbelievers get healed than believers when in the public crusade. Because unbelievers come and they just believe the simplicity of the gospel, and they get healed and delivered. But the believer comes and says: ‘You know, I’m entitled to it. I’ve been saved since 1920 and I’ve been very faithful. I’ve been committed to the church. I’ve never taken a drug. I’ve never taken liquor. I’ve never taken cocaine. I’ve never taken coffee. I’ve not even looked at a woman. And so, I’m qualified! That is the reason why some believers are not blessed.

“Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” (Luke 17:12-13 NKJV). Notice that all of them came to Jesus on the platform of mercy. Then He said unto them: go show yourselves to the priest.

On their way, they were all healed. And one of them, a Samaritan came back to glorify God. The other nine never came back. Why didn’t the nine come back? They were full of self. “I’m qualified! After all, I’m a Jew” That is the reason why some of us find it difficult to give an offering to God. Because we feel, why should I give Him offering, after all, He is a good God. He should not expect me to give an offering even more especially at this time. If anything, He ought to give to me. This is one of the reasons why many believers are garaged from their testimonies. Avoid it!

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Understanding Excellence

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 16 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Understanding Excellence

TOPIC: Understanding Excellence (Seeds Of Destiny 16 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Matthew 5:14.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To exist in distinction or excellence means to live an outstanding life.

MESSAGE:

Defining excellence or distinction is necessary because what is not defined cannot be found; what is not defined cannot be rectified; and what is not defined cannot be refined.

Mentality determines reality because what is not real in your mind cannot be real in your life. This means, to exist in excellence or distinction, there is a need to know what excellence or distinction is all about.

The question then is: what is excellence?

  1. It means to excel is to stand out in life.
To exist in distinction or excellence means to live an outstanding life. When a person exists in distinction or excellence, he stands out in life. A call unto excellence is a call unto an outstanding life. To exist in distinction or excellence is to live an outstandingly enviable life.
  2. It means existence as a generational illumination.
To exist in distinction or excellence means to exist as a generational illumination or revelation. When you exist in distinction or excellence, there is “something” about you that lightens your world. Once you step into a place where there is darkness and depression, light appears because you are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14); you are a generational illumination or a generational revelation. To exist in excellence or distinction is to exist as the light that gives hope to people, hope to your world.

Remember this: To exist in distinction or excellence means to live an outstanding life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to stand out in life.
  2. Let your life bring illumination and hope to others.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to stand out in life and be a generational illumination, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Nail The Flesh!

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 16 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Nail The Flesh!

TOPIC: Nail The Flesh! (DCLM Daily Manna 16 September 2022)

TEXT: 2 Kings 14:1-12 (KJV)

1 In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.

2 He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did.

4 Howbeit the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.

5 And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father.

6 But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the Lord commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

7 He slew of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day.

8 Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face.

9 And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

10 Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

11 But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

12 And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to their tents.

KEY VERSE: “Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face” (2 Kings 14:8).

MESSAGE:

Some people brag about their success in their occupation, careers, families, etc., and attribute none of such to God’s special favour. Instead, they turn such blessings into instruments of disrespect for God. In a moment, all they boast of is gone.

In our text today, King Amaziah of Judah, after conquering Edom, decided to go to war with King Jehoash of Israel. He sent messengers to Israel and demanded a face-to-face encounter with their king. Of course, he was defeated in the battle that followed and lost much possession due to pride and self-confidence.

The carnal nature harbours unholy passion, inordinate affection and lusts, as well as sinful desires. It is the corrupt nature that neither submits to God’s absolute authority nor relies on His mercy. It is the inherent human nature that always kicks against God’s will, constantly desiring to fulfil its own will and relying on its own strength. It is a compulsive inner force inherited from the Fall, which expresses itself in general or specific rebellion against God and His righteousness. It is the fallen, selfish nature of humans that predisposes them to sin and makes them omit God in their lives and actions.

The flesh should be brought under subjection through the power of the Spirit of God in us. The carnal mind or the flesh is opposed to the Spirit. Christ has secured for us, through His death on the cross, the power to overcome sin. We can possess this power if we have a deep desire for it and pray earnestly to live an overcoming life. To get to heaven eventually, we must mortify the flesh and submit to the Spirit’s guidance and counsel.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Nail the flesh daily to stay alive spiritually.

TREM Devotional – Stop Flaunting Your Qualifications

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 15 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Stop Flaunting Your Qualifications

TOPIC: Stop Flaunting Your Qualifications (TREM Devotional 15 September 2022)

“I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” Luke 18:14 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The entitlement mentality is one of the major issues that garage the believer “I am entitled because of my qualifications or because of what I have done”. Who told you that? Out of all the credentials you can reel out, which of them can equal the death of Jesus Christ.

Think of it! God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Of all your qualifications and achievements, which of them can we equate with the death of Christ for the sins of the whole world?

The people we call unbelievers usually stand afar off because there is no issue of entitlement. They say: “I am not entitled! I am not even qualified to come close” In the parable that Jesus spoke in the book Luke chapter 18, the publican would not even lift up so much as his eyes. He was so ashamed of the things he has done that he couldn’t lift his eyes to behold the Lord. He only said: “God, be merciful to me a sinner.”

In other words, I am not qualified. There is nothing I can do! I have no other arguments. I don’t have any other plea but Jesus’ blood that was shed for me. That is my plea. I am coming because of the blood.

Is it a wrong thing to fast as the Pharisee did in the parable! Certainly not! Is it a wrong thing to witness? No. Is it a wrong thing to give? No. But we must be careful as Christians not to think that our credentials and qualifications should become the access into the presence of God to receive. The only access acceptable in the presence of God is the blood. The Publican didn’t have an entitlement mentality. I am not entitled, and he said just be merciful to me. According to Jesus the one who was tagged as unbeliever went down to his house justified rather than the Pharisee.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Desperate Prayer: A Secret Of The Glory

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 15 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Desperate Prayer: A Secret Of The Glory

TOPIC – Desperate Prayer: A Secret Of The Glory (Seeds Of Destiny 15 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. Luke 9:29.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Passionate and desperate prayer is a secret of glory explosion.

MESSAGE:

The Scripture reveals that passionate and desperate prayer is a secret of glory explosion.

This is the kind of prayer that is focused on your life’s assignment. It was the kind of prayer that Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Luke 9:29 says,
And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

Jesus seemed to be saying, “Father, You said I should go to the Cross, I am ready to go but can I have some details because I want to do it perfectly? I want to do what You want me to do with my Life. I don’t want to disappoint You and I don’t want to waste My life. Father, please help me to please You. Father, please let me not miss it. Let me not make the wrong moves, let me not take the wrong steps, let me not do what You have not asked me to do”.

As He prayed like this, the Glory of God exploded. God sent two messengers from Heaven, Elijah and Moses. God seemed to have told them, “Go to my Son and discuss with Him the content of His passion. Just give Him some understanding of the assignment ahead of Him; He is so bothered, He is so concerned, He is desperate”

Beloved, where you do not have interest, you cannot not have insight. God gives you insight in the area of your interest. They came to give Jesus that insight because His heart was passionate.

Remember this: Passionate and desperate prayer is a secret of glory explosion.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to engage in passionate and desperate prayers.
  2. Be consistent in your prayer to see the Glory of God.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for fresh zeal and passion for prayer. Pour on me the Spirit of grace and prayer, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Perilous Practice

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 15 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Perilous Practice

TOPIC: Perilous Practice (DCLM Daily Manna 15 September 2022)

TEXT: 2 Kings 14:1-7 (KJV)

14 In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.

KEY VERSE: “But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin” (2 Kings 14:6).

MESSAGE:

Satan makes people believe that they can get away with anything because God is merciful. Soon sin then becomes habitual. Others know the consequences of their actions but as they successfully cover up their tracks each time, they are deceived into believing that the day of reckoning would not come. But surely, they would be called to account sooner or later.

This was what happened to those servants who murdered King Joash. The day of reckoning came and they paid for their sin. Unlike David his father, Amaziah, the son of Joash, king of Judah did not fully do what was right in the sight of the Lord. When his kingdom was confirmed, he caught up with and killed the servants who had slain his father. By so doing, he obeyed the written word of God in the laws of Moses not to kill the innocent children with their sinful fathers.

The judgment of unrepentant sinners is ordained by God. A closer look at the consequences of sin and the brevity of life should make sinners consider their latter end. Most people do not take sin as seriously as God does; yet sin leads the way to hell. So, it must be avoided at all costs. What makes hell so terrible is that it is an eternal and hopeless place of torment. A few seconds in hell will make the sinner forget all pleasures derived from sin because of the pain and inconvenience. Today, many things occupy people’s minds to the detriment of their souls. Many workers and leaders in the church have replaced salvation with service and activities.

As true believers, we should examine ourselves daily in the light of God’s words and preach to every sinner to repent and forsake sin. God is merciful; He will not punish or visit the sins of the parents upon the children who love and obey His commandments. He equally opens the gates of forgiveness, pardon and reconciliation for all sinners and backsliders who repent and return to Him.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God will hold you accountable for your own sin.

TREM Devotional – On Who Is Your Faith Leaning?

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 14 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – On Who Is Your Faith Leaning?

TOPIC: On Who Is Your Faith Leaning? (TREM Devotional 14 September 2022)

“that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:5 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)

I know you are a believer. I know you are ready for heaven. But when it comes to the manifestation of the promises or you prayed and you are expecting something to happen, on who is your faith leaning on? Who are you trusting? Who are you believing? Who are you looking up to? That is the issue! That is where the rubber meets the road. You will be shocked that a lot of believers depend on themselves. Let us see an example in the scriptures so that you can understand.

According to Jesus: “Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.” (Luke 18:10 KJV). They had needs which they wanted God to intervene on their behalf. They both desired that God should do something for them. One was a Pharisee or somebody you can call a believer who is saved and the other one was a publican. A raw sinner! “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.” (Luke 18:11-12 KJV).

Notice what this man who came to God for help was doing. He began to reel out his credentials. I did this! God, I want you to understand the price I already paid. I fast! I pray! I gave! I also visited! I went on witnessing! I always attend meetings! I did all that and I am not like other people. If anyone is to qualify, it must be me.

Beloved, you cannot receive from God when your request is predicated on what you have done or on your qualifications. We must lean totally on the finished works of Christ. That is what qualifies us to receive from God.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Learning For The Top

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 14 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Learning For The Top

TOPIC: Learning For The Top (Seeds Of Destiny 14 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1 Timothy 4:13.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To reach your destiny you must keep on learning.

MESSAGE:

Constant learning is a major attribute of great people. Great people learn from everything. They get instructions from every occurrence.

To reach your destiny, you must keep on learning.

Those who never outgrow their needs for learning never stop their journey halfway. Coming to a point where you have nothing to learn from anyone anymore is to end your journey halfway. There are people who claim to know it all and have it all, so they no longer learn anything from God or from man. Such people cannot go far in life.

There is no future for the arrogant because it takes meekness to learn. There is no future for the proud who cannot ask questions. Not admitting that other people know better than you is to be stagnated in life.

People who have achieved many things in life are the meekest and humblest of men. They are always with pen and paper in hand to write anything because life is full of lessons, and they are ready to learn. DCLM Daily Manna – Damned Through Pride

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 14 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Damned Through Pride

TOPIC: Damned Through Pride (DCLM Daily Manna 14 September 2022)

TEXT: 2 Kings 14:8-16 (KJV)

13 And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Bethshemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.

14 And he took all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the king’s house, and hostages, and returned to Samaria.

15 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did, and his might, and how he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

16 And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead.

KEY VERSE: “Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?” (2 KINGS 14:10).

MESSAGE:

Pride is often defined as an exaggerated sense of self-worth; a supremacist and negative viewpoint that deceives a person into believing that he is superior to others. The proud is always a victim of a perverted mindset, which fails to accept the fact that one’s life is not determined by self-worth.

From the text, Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, king of Israel, for them to look one another in the face; not for play or pleasure but for war. The wise Jehoash replied Amaziah with a riddle of the thistle and the cedar. He warned Amaziah to avoid pride because of the victory over Edom. He advised him to “glory of this and tarry at home” and not cause destruction to himself and his nation. Amaziah refused this warning. He was woefully defeated by Jehoash in the battle and he lost all the gold and silver vessels that were in the house of the Lord and in the king’s treasures. His people were also taken captives.

The Scriptures warn that pride is a sure route to destruction (Proverbs 16:18). Just as Amaziah and Judah fell, so will proud people fall. A humble person is more secure than the proud. A proud person portends a bloated view of himself and exposes himself to unnecessary attack and confrontation. The humble believer however, remains lowly no matter his status. In this state of lowliness, he receives grace to make more progress in life because he depends on God daily.

A true believer who is a product of grace should never permit a strand of pride in his life. Or else, he will lose his peace and attachment to God. Pride is self worship. The moment pride begins to crop up, spare no effort in getting rid of it. Remember, God resists the proud. Let us remain in His grace and keep humble.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The proud worship self, not God.

TREM Devotional – Have Faith In God And Not In Self

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 13 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Have Faith In God And Not In Self

TOPIC: Have Faith In God And Not In Self (TREM Devotional 13 September 2022)

“that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:5 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

According to the book of Hebrews 10:35-38: “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: But if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Clearly, the scripture lays a lot of emphasis on the just living by faith. But your faith must be in the power of God. Not in your wisdom or your achievements.

It is evidently established in the scriptures that you can’t please God without faith. Even at the point of salvation, God gave you faith. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV). It is not you! It is the gift of God!

The book of Romans 12:3 declares: “For I say through the Grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think”. In other words, the Bible is saying don’t be braggadocios or arrogant. Don’t pride yourself in your achievements when it comes to God. That is one of the major hindrance to our faith. Stop boasting about your achievements and your reputations. Stop boasting about the things you have. Rather, think soberly according as God has dealt with every man the measure of faith.

God gave to every one of us the measure of faith so that we can please Him. Now the question is, in whom are you having faith? Is your faith in yourself and what you can make happen or in God? This is the challenge to our manifestation.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Secret Of Daniel’s Greatness

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 13 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – The Secret Of Daniel’s Greatness

TOPIC: The Secret Of Daniel’s Greatness (Seeds Of Destiny 13 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. Daniel 6:10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be truly dedicated to God, a person must have a rigid, unbroken prayer schedule.

MESSAGE:

Daniel was one character that God used mightily in Scripture. His reign outlived four different kings. He was so relevant in his time that kings could not do without him. People felt the Power and Presence of God in his generation.

Now, one secret of Daniel’s greatness was his brutal dedication to God in prayer and the study of the Word.

Daniel 6:10 says,
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Daniel was a man who prayed; he had a rigid schedule of praying three times each day.

So, to be truly dedicated to God, a person must have a rigid, unbroken prayer schedule.

Daniel was also a man of the Word.
Daniel 9:2 says,
In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

Daniel was acquainted with Scriptures. He ransacked the Book of Jeremiah to a point where he found out the time the captivity of his people was to end.

Beloved, dedicated people have voracious appetite for God’s Word; they study Scriptures to the point of seeing and discovering what no one else had ever seen.

So, to study the Scripture superficially in order to fulfil all righteousness is not a mark of dedication to God. Dedicated People study Scriptures in order to discover God and fresh light.

Remember this: To be truly dedicated to God, a person must have a rigid, unbroken prayer schedule.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Study the life of Daniel closely to learn his devotion to God.
  2. Make the practice of praying and studying the Word a regular schedule in your life.

PRAYER: Lord, I rebuke every spell of spiritual laziness and lethargy. I receive the grace and discipline to be devoted to You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
