“Vote Candidates Who Will Protect The Interest of Christianity In Nigeria” – CAC President

Pastor Samuel Oladele

The President of the Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor Samuel Oladele, has employed Christians to vote for candidates who will protect the cause and interest of Christianity in Nigeria.

Pastor Oladele gave this advice in his address at the annual 2022 Pastors Conference of the CAC, held at the Babalola International Miracle Camp in Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State on Wednesday. The four-day conference was themed, ‘ Grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.’

In his words, “Throughout the course of human history, God has always sought men and women to stand for Him in the place of leadership – like Joseph in Egypt, David before Goliath the Philistine, Esther in Shushan, and Daniel in Babylon.

“The forthcoming general election is one that we must be interested in, as we cannot afford to remain complacent while that affect our faith are being made. We shall be guided by the criteria provided by the Christian Association of Nigeria for the election of our next set of political leaders in Nigeria.

” I urge you to vote for candidates who will protect the cause and interest of Christianity in Nigeria. I make bold to declare loud and clear that the interest of the kingdom of God and of His Christ is more important than all other interests. Hence, the interest of God’s kingdom must guide our consideration of who to vote for in the forthcoming general election in Nigeria.

He said, “It is an undeniable fact that we are in dire strait as a nation. The continued decline of socio-economic infrastructures as well as the nonchalance of those who are entrusted to provide the desired solution to these problems, calls for concern.

“However, we are not without hope because we have a God who rules in the affairs of men. Let us continue to call upon Him while we play our roles as responsible citizens of Nigeria. Righteousness remains the panacea to the reproach of our nation, Nigeria. Let us not only preach it but practice righteousness.”

Pastor Samuel Oladele also warned pastors to avoid gross insubordination and misconduct and otherwise face appropriate disciplinary measures and possible demotion from their present positions.

“Postings It is considered a vital part of our sacred duty to obey the Church Authority in matters of transfers/postings Hence, all forms of intrigues either to influence or resist postings/transfer are considered unrighteous. Specifically. any pastor/minister who refuses to go on transfer from one station to another and goes ahead to incite Church Elders Council/members to achieve the same shall be considered to have committed an act of gross insubordination and necessary disciplinary measures shall be applied.

“We have observed that some Pastors divert/misappropriate monies that they are supposed to remit to the Genera Secretariat, while some others suppress proceeds from our publication. Henceforth, such actions shall be treated as theft and those culpable shall be made to face appropriate disciplinary measures, including refund of such money suspension and possible demotion from their present position,”.

TREM Devotional – Don’t Give Up On Your Dream

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 21 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Don’t Give Up On Your Dream

TOPIC: Don’t Give Up On Your Dream (TREM Devotional 21 September 2022)

“Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.” Joshua 21:45 (NKJV)

MESSAGE:

God has a great plan for your future! Therefore, never give up on your dreams. Every promise of God to you is not a revelation of what God wants to do but a revelation of what He has perfected in eternity. It is completed! Totally completed. Completely complete and perfectly perfect. It is a finished project. You don’t have any reason to doubt. His word shall come to pass.

There may be obstacles, but God has already gone ahead of you. Just like when Moses went to Pharaoh, God knew that Pharaoh was going to resist. God knew that Pharaoh was not going to give up and roll over and allow God’s people to have what God has planned for them easily. Never think that the devil will sleep and watch you succeed and watch you move into the global scene without a fight. But one thing I can assure you: no matter the fight, the promise of God will always overrule.

Never because of challenges give up on your dreams. Don’t give up on your aspirations. New things are going to spring up for your sake. New doors are opening unto you in high places. God will open your inner eyes to see the wonderful opportunities that are around you at this time. He will perfect everything that concerns you. Your colorful destiny shall speak. No man will take your place. Evil shall bow before you and the wicked shall bow at your gate. His plans for you are good and wonderful. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”(Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV).

This is not the time to give up or quit. You are closer to your breakthrough than you can ever imagine. He is too faithful to fail you.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Marketing Carnality Instead Of Spirituality

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 21 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Marketing Carnality Instead Of Spirituality

TOPIC: Marketing Carnality Instead Of Spirituality (Seeds Of Destiny 21 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: And, behold, there met him, a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. Proverbs 7:10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: We live in a generation that market the flesh and advertise carnality instead of spirituality.

MESSAGE:

Most people today dress to expose their bodies. Seductive and suggestive dressings have become the popular styles of dressing in our generation. We live in a generation that market the flesh and advertise carnality instead of spirituality.

Each time a person dresses in a seductive manner, the person only succeeds in advertising the body parts with unspoken statements like, “Everybody look at me, look at how big my hips are, just take a look at how seductive I am.”

When someone looks at a seductively dressed person, the first thing that comes to their mind is immorality. When you expose your body, you are directing people to eternal damnation; yet, you claim to be a child of God.

Where is the place of decency, decorum and dignity in our world today, especially among Christians? One of the worst things that can happen to a Christian is to become a tool in the hands of satan the devil unknowingly.

The devil gets his sons and daughters possessed with demonic spirits that make them to carry out his assignments, thereby leading many to hell. The tragedy is that many children of God have unconsciously joined the children of the devil to fulfil satan’s vision of leading people to hell by the way they dress.

When you look at men who are decently dressed, you will not see anyone with his chest exposed. Even if he is not putting on a tie, his shirt is properly buttoned up. But for the women, the opposite is the case. The cleavage of the chest must be left bare; the parts of the body that used to be hidden in those days are now being unashamedly exposed to their own damnation and the damnation of the world. The tragedy is that those seductive clothes are being worn by many to church. It ought not to be so.

Beloved, be determined to refuse worldly, seductive ways of dressing.

Remember this: We live in a generation that market the flesh and advertise carnality instead of spirituality.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to market the flesh (carnality) through indecent dressing or other means.
  2. Let people encounter your spirituality when they come around you.
  3. Refuse to contradict and compromise your identity and spirituality by your physical appearance.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to positively reflect my Christian identity by the way I dress. I refuse to dress in ways that would jeopardize my eternity and those of others, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – You Are Privileged

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 21 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — You Are Privileged

TOPIC: You Are Privileged (DCLM Daily Manna 21 September 2022)

TEXT: 1 Corinthians 1:17-31 (KJV)

17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

KEY VERSE: “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty” (1 Corinthians 1:27).

MESSAGE:

Nick Vujicic, an Australian evangelist, was born with an extremely rare congenital disorder known as phocomelia, which is characterised by the absence of legs and arms. While growing up in Melbourne, Australia, he was said to have struggled mentally, emotionally and physically. Today, despite the serious physical limitations, Vujicic is a successful skydiver, painter, swimmer, motivational speaker and has touched many people through evangelism. His life is a wonder to the world!

What some people take as limitations have become points of strength for many others. Perhaps, if Vujicic had been born whole, he might not have become a wonder to the world today. Some people who were born blind, lame, dumb, among other physical limitations, have today embraced the rope of stardom in different fields to the amazement of the world.

God, indeed, chooses what He does and He does it perfectly. He uses those considered weak, despised and insignificant to accomplish great feats. The exploits of men and women, who despite limitations, still accomplish a lot in the society, should be a challenge to every believer. No excuse is tenable before God as a reason for not labouring in His vineyard.

Believers must consider themselves privileged to have been called by the Almighty to be used to spread the gospel of the Kingdom. Paul said, “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.” You have no excuse!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Submit yourself to God and watch Him work mightily through you.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Building Relationship With God By Prayer

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 20 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Building Relationship With God By Prayer

TOPIC: Building Relationship With God By Prayer (Seeds Of Destiny 20 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Matthew 6:9.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer is the platform for the building, strengthening and developing of relationship between God and man.

MESSAGE:

The Scripture makes it clear that prayer is a platform for communion between God and man.

Matthew 6:9 says,
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

From the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 6:9-15, we understand prayer as the platform for the building, strengthening and developing of relationship between God and man. Jesus said; In this manner pray ye, our father which art in heaven…

You know, relationship must precede request. To be requesting things from a person you have no relationship with makes you a beggar. There are people who are begging and they think they are praying. If the relationship between a man and God is concrete, making requests always may not need to happen.

For example, I have a relationship with my wife for more than Twenty-Eight years now. She does not need to beg me for things. It is not right if she is begging me or crying for things always. It is wickedness on the part of a man for his wife to be begging him for things if a relationship exists between the two of them.

Your siblings or parents also don’t need to beg you before you help them because you are related to them. This is how it is in the realm of the spirit; if you have a quality relationship with God, you don’t need to beg Him for things.

Remember this: Prayer is the platform for the building, strengthening and developing of relationship between God and man.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Build and develop your relationship with God consistently through prayer.
  2. Refuse to live a prayer-less life.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to build, strengthen and develop my relationship with You consistently at the place of prayer. Deliver me from lukewarm and lethargic living, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: UNDERSTATING PRAYER.

QUOTE: It is wisdom to find out what you are looking for in life; what God wants to do with your life; what will take you to your desired destination fast, and direct your energies there. The first of such activities, I believe, is your relationship with God – the time given to prayer and the study of the Word. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Amos 2-4.

AMAZING FACT: Your eye is the fastest contracting muscle in the body, contracting in less than 1/100th of a second.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: Your prayer life is amplified and your relationship with God is strengthened in Jesus Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Shun All Hypocrisy

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 20 September 2022 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Shun All Hypocrisy

TOPIC: Shun All Hypocrisy (DCLM Daily Manna 20 September 2022)

TEXT: Luke 11:37-45 (KJV)

37 And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.

38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.

39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

40 Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?

41 But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

45 Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.

KEY VERSE: “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them” (Luke 11:44).

MESSAGE:

One of the most grievous offenses one can commit against God is to be hypocritical. This is pretending to be what you are not. It is to claim to be a child of God, when you know full well that your life does not measure up to His holy standard. It is to demand from others a level of integrity that is absent from one’s own life. God detests hypocrisy in whatever form it manifests.

Jesus condemned “a certain Pharisee” who was his host for elevating unimportant matters like washing of hands which, in any case, was originally intended for priests only, but now made mandatory for all. He chided the Pharisees for their unwillingness to help the poor while insisting on the payment of tithe. He rebuked them for making high demands from ordinary people while excusing themselves from such rigour. He accused them of making other people unclean through their sullied spiritual lives. He condemned them not just for persecuting prophets of God, but rejecting the Almighty Himself. He chided them for erroneously interpreting the Scriptures and therefore, misleading and preventing the people from coming to Christ. Rather than being contrite and sober, they started seeking means to trap Him into making blasphemous statements.

On no account should we turn ourselves into masters deserving adulation by the people of God, for such is the beginning of hypocrisy. We must watch over our lives to ensure we do not set for others standards far stiffer than that demanded by God. We must also not hold others to the injunctions of Scriptures while disobeying the same command. The best way to influence people positively is to let our lives express practically, what God expects from them.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If your life were a book, what would others read in it?

TREM Devotional – His Grace Is Better Than Your Credentials

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 19 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – His Grace Is Better Than Your Credentials

TOPIC: His Grace Is Better Than Your Credentials (TREM Devotional 19 September 2022)

“And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” Luke 15:20 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

In the scriptures, we are told about how the prodigal son demanded his portion of the father’s wealth and went into a far country where he squandered everything. According to the bible, when things became extremely difficult for him, he came back to his father. The father received him and began to celebrate him even with all his misdeeds. The prodigal son came back to lean on the Father’s mercy. He knew that he had no other argument. He had no other plea but the blood and the Father’s Mercy. The beauty of the father’s embrace was that the father said I am not going to bring you home without a garment so that people will not see you naked.

The fattest cow that was killed represents the blood of the lamb. It is the blood that gave him access.

Another interesting part of the story is that of the elder brother who hath been at home faithfully serving the father. The Bible recorded that as he was returning, he heard music and was wondering what was going on. When they told him that the brother came back and the father was celebrating for him, he was offended. And he said: “…Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: but as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.”(Luke 15:29-30 KJV).

The elder brother said I’m qualified! I’ve been faithful. I stood with you. I have never disappointed you but this one who is a mess, you are killing the best cow for him.

Why was the elder brother not celebrated, even before the brother came? He was celebrating his credentials. Was it wrong for him to live right? No. But living right is not so that God will bless you. It is to appreciate what God has done for you. He has already done everything.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Praying In The Spirit – A Language That Confuses The Devil

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 19 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Praying In The Spirit – A Language That Confuses The Devil

TOPIC: Praying In The Spirit – A Language That Confuses The Devil (Seeds Of Destiny 19 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you pray in the Spirit, the Spirit of God communicates through your spirit with God the Father.

MESSAGE:

It has been confirmed that praying in tongues is praying above the understanding of demons. When we pray in the Spirit, we bypass and confuse the opposition of the enemy. When you pray in the Spirit, the Spirit of God communicates through your spirit with God the Father. This means, God the Spirit and God the Father are talking using your spirit as a mouthpiece, and the devil cannot understand.

A former occultic person once said that there are two ways to confuse the devil and his agents in the kingdom of darkness: one way is to shout or praise God loudly. That was what made the wall of Jericho collapse (Joshua 6:20). Demons cannot stand an excited Christian.

Another way is to pray in tongues. When you pray in the Spirit, the kingdom of darkness would be confused; they cannot understand you.
God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo once said that while they were holding a meeting in Kaduna one time, and a demonic agent of the other religion, said that over his dead body would the meeting hold. In fact, the meeting was already going on when he said that they should move out of the hall.

So, Papa Oyedepo went straight to the man in his office and held his hand and began to blast in tongues. The man began to shake on his seat. When he finished blasting in tongues, he said to the man, “With you dead or alive, we are holding the meeting.”

You see, this is the best way to handle a witch, native doctor or any agent of the devil that is trying to stop the fulfilment of God’s Purpose for your life; just release intercontinental ballistic missiles in tongues. Speak into their body, spirit and confuse the demons out of their head.

Remember this: When you pray in the Spirit, the Spirit of God communicates through your spirit with God the Father.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Deal with demons by praying in tongue always.
  2. Do it habitually.

PRAYER: Thank You for Your Word to me today. I receive Your grace to pray and confuse the activities of the enemy, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Get Ready For Christ’s Return

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 19 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Get Ready For Christ’s Return

TOPIC: Get Ready For Christ’s Return (DCLM Daily Manna 19 September 2022)

TEXT: Luke 12:32-48 (KJV)

32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?

42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

KEY VERSE: “And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately” (Luke 12:36).

Each time a conversation, even among believers, gets to the direction of the return of Jesus Christ, many people are either dismissive, amused or unconcerned because they think it is unlikely; or if it would happen, it would be in the distant future. In the process, they miss the essential lesson of ensuring that the Lord’s coming does not meet them unprepared.

Jesus Christ Himself assures His disciples that the Almighty God delights in reserving a place in heaven for each of them. Believers should, therefore, not misplace their priorities, but jettison anything, including love of money, that could hinder their love, obedience and service to the Lord. They must allow their lives to shine brightly, while living in constant expectation of the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, so that irrespective of when it occurs, they would be ready. In fact, He would come without fanfare and when most people do not expect Him.

Great blessings await those He will meet on His return, as they faithfully engage in His service. But those who fail to prepare for His coming and are consumed by the rat race, revelry and oppressive activities of the world, would suffer eternal separation from Him. Those who are ignorant of His advent will face punishment, while those who knew but refused to get themselves ready, will face a more severe punishment.

This is a timely warning, especially in our present age, when all talks about the return of Jesus Christ seems like fable to many. To be ready, you must not condone even the slightest sin in your life, but shun all evil trappings and distractions of the world. You must diligently follow the Lord and faithfully engage in the service of winning and preparing souls for heaven. Jesus is coming very soon.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Be prepared!

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Numbers 29-30

Prayer points:

  1. Lord, blow up all kind of mindset and self deception in my heart that thinks His coming may not be now.
  2. Lord, I ask for that state of heart that will always be watchful for your coming.
  3. Lord, demolish everything that may stand between me and readiness for your coming.
  4. Lord, help all your children to see your imminent coming as real and help us to take your word seriously.

HYMN: When the roll is called up yonder.(GHS 172)

TREM Devotional – Put Your Trust In The Lord

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 18 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Put Your Trust In The Lord

TOPIC: Put Your Trust In The Lord (TREM Devotional 18 September 2022)

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

In his epistle to the church in Corinth, apostle Paul declares: “And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2:1-2 NKJV).

Apostle Paul was saying that Jesus Christ was everything to him. He was saying Jesus Christ was crucified for him. He said I want to know him. That was his desire. You see, when you put your trust in man, you are putting yourself in a tight corner. You cannot also trust in yourself because you will be surprised what you can do in an unguarded moment.

The book of Jeremiah 17:5-8 declares: “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:5-8 KJV)

God derives pleasure in you when you put your trust in Him and make Him feel like God. He enjoys it when we make him feel like God. I cannot…! But God can…! This should be our attitude. In that difficult situation, you cannot but God can. And truly He will.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Evil Treasures

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 18 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Evil Treasures

TOPIC: Evil Treasures (Seeds Of Destiny 18 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1Timothy 6:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: All possessions acquired with evil money are nothing but evil treasures.

MESSAGE:

It has been confirmed that any money that someone gets out of evil practice is evil money; it is unrighteous money.

For example, there are people who drive evil cars, dress in unrighteous clothes, live in ungodly houses because the money that was used to purchase those things were proceeds of evil practices.

All possessions acquired with evil money are nothing but evil treasures. For example, a person who is dressed with clothes purchased with evil money may look handsome or beautiful outwardly, but he or she is ugly inside and appears repulsive to God.

In Deuteronomy 23:18, the Bible says,
Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the Lord thy God for any vow: for even both these are abominations unto the Lord thy God.
A dog figuratively represents the spirit of immorality.

In Leviticus 19:29, the Bible also says:
Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

Apart from the proceeds of prostitution or fornication, other examples of evil money are proceeds from bribery, corruption, armed robbery, ritual killing, the sale of alcohol, tobacco, dangerous drugs and other harmful products whose consumption leads to people’s destruction. When a person markets or sells products like Cocaine, Heroin, LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide – a synthetic crystalline compound which is a powerful hallucinogenic drug), Indian hemp or Marijuana, Dry Gin, Lager beer etc. that destroy people’s lives, the proceeds from these products is evil money.

Beloved, do not do evil to get money; such money is evil, and it can add nothing but destruction and sorrow to your life.

Remember this: All possessions acquired with evil money are nothing but evil treasures.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to go after evil treasures.
  2. Do not get money in dubious ways; work with your hands and trust God for legitimate ways of getting money

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to work with my hands to get legitimate money. I refuse to indulge myself in evil practices for money, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: If those who manufacture cigarette, alcohol and produce pornographic materials, have enough money to publicize their products, how much more the Gospel! Culled from “21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Hosea 13-Joel 1.

AMAZING FACT: Lionesses are caring mothers who will even take care of a neglected cub, allowing him/her to suckle and giving them a chance to survive.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The grace to combine prosperity with integrity and holiness is impacted upon you in Jesus Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Flee Idolatry

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 18 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Flee Idolatry

TOPIC: Flee Idolatry (DCLM Daily Manna 18 September 2022)

TEXT: Ezekiel 20:39-49 (KJV)

39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord God, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

41 I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

42 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.

43 And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.

44 And ye shall know that I am the Lord when I have wrought with you for my name’s sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

45 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

46 Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field;

47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.

48 And all flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.

49 Then said I, Ah Lord God! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?

KEY VERSE: “As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols” (Ezekiel 20:39).

MESSAGE:

The Lord had been pleading with Israel since their journey to the Promised Land to flee idolatry and disobedience which prevented many of their fathers who left Egypt from entering Canaan. It was equally the reason for their long captivity in Babylon.

From the text, the Lord asked Israel to continue in their sins but should not pollute His holy name with idolatrous gifts. He still promised through Prophet Ezekiel that He would gather and sanctify Israel again, and bring them to the land that He promised to give their fathers, for His name’s sake.

Today, there is idolatry everywhere: in streets, offices and homes. You may not be physically involved like the children of Israel; yours may be in the heart because idolatry is not limited to worshipping idols. It is placing anything or anyone above God and His word. A covetous man is an idolater: he sets money in his heart and pursues it above all things; and so, he has no inheritance in heaven. Worshipping material things, human beings, academic achievement, etc., more than the Creator, is idolatry.

Many who claim to be serving God place their interest, loyalty, confidence and trust on something or someone else. As heaven-bound believers, we must flee all forms and shades of idolatry. We should avoid friends, habits and systems that encourage idolatry. The Lord commands that we live and walk in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our lives. Therefore, we should painstakingly search and try our ways today to see if our hearts incline to obey anyone or anything contrary to God and His precepts.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Maintain all-round distance from idolatry.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Numbers 26-28

Prayer points:

  1. Holy Spirit, convict me afresh and awaken my conscience on things for which you have given up on me.
  2. Lord, have mercy and never give up on me.
  3. Lord, make my heart tender and yielding to your word on every area of my life.
  4. Visit each one of our lives and give a new heart to give up all those things that you are demanding from us.

HYMN: Take my life.(GHS 87)
