TREM Devotional – Rebuke The Voice Of The Storm

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 26 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Rebuke The Voice Of The Storm

TOPIC: Rebuke The Voice Of The Storm (TREM Devotional 26 September 2022)

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The storms of life speak in different areas of your lives. And many times you will hear the voice asking you: Now that everything is fallen apart around you, what are you going to do? The voice of storms comes in different ways. You can begin to hear such voices like: “You are not going to make it out of this hospital. I’m going to ensure that you die on the theatre table. You will never find another job. You will never pass the examinations. Let me see how you are going to get another job. Don’t you see that this marriage is not going anywhere? Your business will never expand. It has come to an end for you. Let me see how you are going to bounce back. You are finished. This situation has finished you. You are not going to ever make it”

All these are voices of the storm that are speaking to you. Yes, you have wonderful ideas but where are you going to get the money? Where are you going to get the capital to start? And it keeps on speaking interminably. You’ve been in this relationship for so long, what have you gained from it? Don’t you see that no one likes you? These are the types of voices you hear each time from the storms of life you face and it’s always very loud. Louder than any other voice around you. Everyone is talking about you, so you better run away. Don’t even continue. Quit! You are a failure and you will never amount to anything…

Beloved, when the storms of life begin to speak loud and clear, understand that it is as a result of where God is taken you. Therefore, refuse to listen to the voice of the storms. If you must silence the voice of the storm, you must not repeat what it is telling you. Rebuke the storm! Speak the Word to it! Every storm bows to the authority of the Word.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Salvation Of Multitudes, An Honour To God

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 26 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Salvation Of Multitudes, An Honour To God

TOPIC: The Salvation Of Multitudes, An Honour To God (Seeds Of Destiny 26 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince. Proverbs 14:28.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: …if multitudes are pulled in the direction of God more than in the direction of the enemy of God, it is an honour to God.

MESSAGE:

One reason why soul-winning is necessary is that the salvation of souls brings honour to God. The salvation of multitudes brings honour to the Almighty.

Proverbs 14:28 says,
In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

God is honoured when multitudes gather in His Presence. In the multitude of people is the king’s honour but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

Now, think of how embarrassing it is for someone to have an occasion and nobody showed up. Think of how embarrassing it would be to someone, for his children to attend the occasion of his enemy and decide to be absent from his own occasion. This is how it is if multitudes follow the devil instead of God. It is a dishonour to the Creator.

But if multitudes are pulled in the direction of God more than in the direction of the enemy of God, it is an honour to God. While Jesus was on earth, everywhere he went, multitudes followed Him. So, multitudes bring honour to God. Crowded assemblies bring honour to God. The gathering of crowd in God’s presence confirms to God who is in charge.

Beloved, make up your mind to give honour to your Maker by pulling crowd to the Kingdom of God. Make up your mind to win souls.

Remember this: …if multitudes are pulled in the direction of God more than in the direction of the enemy of God, it is an honour to God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Go to the street and compel people to follow you to church.
  2. Take soul-winning as your personal mandate from heaven.

PRAYER: Father, I receive fresh grace to compel men to the Kingdom through soul-winning. Deliver me from every lethargic attitude to soul-winning, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: How many souls can you count, as a pastor, who were raw sinners but attended your church, got saved, are getting discipleship training and are growing in Faith? Culled from “THOU ART MY BATTLE AXE” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Micah 6-Nahum 1

AMAZING FACT: You cannot talk and inhale or exhale at the same time. Try it!

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The grace to bring honour to God by pulling multitudes into the Kingdom through soul-winning be released upon you in Jesus Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Appointed And Sent Forth

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 26 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Appointed And Sent Forth

TOPIC: Appointed And Sent Forth (DCLM Daily Manna 26 September 2022)

TEXT: Luke 10:1-17 (KJV)

1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.

5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.

15 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

KEY VERSE: “Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves” (Luke 10:3).

MESSAGE:

Suppose that all the treasures in the world were gathered together and one man is so honoured to be the account officer, the world would consider this man as indeed privileged. Yet, the answer to the divine call is incomparably greater than possessing all the treasures of the world put together.

After appointing the twelve disciples and giving them power and authority to go and preach the kingdom of God and heal the sick, Christ appointed seventy others and sent them two-by-two for the same purpose. Though they were sent forth as lambs among wolves, it was the sole prerogative of the Lord to determine the scope of their assignment.

The gospel outreach is the great commission of the Lord. The work demands unalloyed obedience, tactfulness, vigilance and peaceful disposition. His appointees are to carry out the mandate despite opposition and hostilities. Obedience to the mandate requires prayer and submission to the guidelines by the Master. A tactful and responsive approach in carrying out the task will yield tremendous result and reward at the end.

It is absurdity to despise the wisdom of God in sending the lambs among the wolves and damning to reject the message of His appointed messengers (Luke 10:10, 12-16). Notably, acceptance of the message of Christ’s messengers is an acceptance of Christ, His redemptive offer and blessings. Accept, believe and comply with His precepts to be saved today. There is always testimony in obedience to His instruction without questioning.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Our greatest task in the world is to preach the gospel.

TREM Devotional – Your Steps Are Ordered By God

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 24 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Your Steps Are Ordered By God

TOPIC: Your Steps Are Ordered By God (TREM Devotional 24 September 2022)

“And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.” Mark 6:45-46 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The Bible gave the account in Mark 6 :45-56 of how Jesus instructed His disciples to get into the ship and go to Bethsaida. When it was evening, the wind became contrary unto them. Later on, He came walking on the water to meet them about the fourth watch of the night. But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit and cried out: For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them and said unto them “Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.” And he went up unto them into the ship, and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure and wondered.

The Lord Jesus Christ by Himself ordered the steps of the disciples because He was the one who instructed them on where to go. One of the things you must understand in your walk of faith with God is that there are detours, there are diversions, there are distractions and there are disruptions. They are part and parcel of your life. And you must understand this so that you don’t receive a shock.

But the good news is that: in that your journey, God still orders your steps. The Bible says:

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” (Psalm 37:23 KJV)

Your steps at times can be ordered into a place that is not comfortable. And when you understand the workings of God, you will know how to navigate yourself. I declare that you will not be stranded. Your life will continually go from glory unto glory. Continue to walk in the light of what God has said and you will be above in all the circumstances.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Voice Of God In The Word Of God

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 24 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Voice Of God In The Word Of God

TOPIC: The Voice Of God In The Word Of God (Seeds Of Destiny 24 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. Ephesians 5:26.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every time you are in touch with the Word of God, you are potentially in touch with the Voice of God.

MESSAGE:

A major way of hearing and receiving from God is to be charged with the Word of God. This is because the Voice of God can be located in the Word of God.

Ephesians 5:26 says,
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.

How does that concern us? The Word equals water.
Psalms 29:3 says,
The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

The Voice of the Lord is on top of the waters. The water is the Word of God. The Word of God is the Companion of the Voice of God.

To say it in another way, the Voice of God is the Container of the Word of God.

When someone speaks to you audibly, you can hear both his voice and the words in his voice.

In the same way, every time you are in touch with the Word of God, you are potentially in touch with the Voice of God. For example, if people told you that someone you know very well said something, you should be able to tell whether or not the person actually said such a thing because you know what the person could say.

My counsel is, let the Word of God dwell richly in you, then it would be easy to hear the Voice of God.

Remember this: Every time you are in touch with the Word of God, you are potentially in touch with the Voice of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Give yourself continually to the study of God’s Word.
  2. Obey the instructions from the Word of God.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to study Your Word. Help me to hear You clearly as I study the Word Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – How Much Do You Love God?

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 24 September 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — How Much Do You Love God?

TOPIC: How Much Do You Love God? (DCLM Daily Manna 24 September 2022)

TEXT: Luke 14:25-35 (KJV)

25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,

30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?

35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

KEY VERSE: “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:26).

MESSAGE:

We are often quick to profess our love for God. We put up a public show of it in the way we dress, in the manner of our speech and in our dietary preferences. We present ourselves as God’s favourite children who are regular in church services and dutiful in meeting all our religious obligations. And we therefore conclude that these are all what God needs.

Nothing can be farther from the truth. God’s standard is much higher, and He expects us to abide by it. Great multitudes had followed Jesus Christ. Knowing their hidden motives for coming, He made one of the most remarkable statements in the gospel. He told them that those who would follow Him and become His disciples, must love God far above everyone else – parents, spouse and children. They must, above all, love God more than they love themselves. They must also be prepared to make far-reaching sacrifices, to bear their cross.

Christ did not want them to gather frivolously around Him. They must first count the cost of what discipleship entails. He underscored this point with the illustration of the need to prepare and provide adequately before embarking on a construction project or waging a war against an enemy. Discipleship demands that they forget their achievements and personal preferences, and follow Christ. This is the only way they could be useful in the kingdom of God.

The Lord does not want us to make empty profession of our love for Him, but to demonstrate it by our actions. We must come to Christ without any hidden agenda, or self-serving motive. Our concern should be to follow His footsteps and work for the expansion of the kingdom of God. We must subordinate our personal ego, ambitions and achievements to the lordship of Jesus Christ. We must take Him at His word, and follow as He leads.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
True discipleship matters only when it serves Christ’s interest.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Praising God – Our Purpose In Life

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 23 September 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Praising God – Our Purpose In Life

TOPIC: Praising God – Our Purpose In Life (Seeds Of Destiny 23 September 2022)

SCRIPTURE: This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. Isaiah 43:21

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Praise is the recognition and fulfillment of man’s purpose and assignment in life.

MESSAGE:

The Scripture makes it clear that the absence of joy is the abundance of dryness of life and destiny; when praise is out of place, dryness in life is in place.

This is confirmed in Joel 1:12 which says,
The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

This means, praise is key to a flourishing life and destiny. To praise God is to experience freshness of life and destiny. When men stop praising God, they start drying up in life. Hence, the importance of praise and worship cannot be over-emphasized.

Now, if praise is very important to life and destiny, the question is: What then is praise?
Praise is the recognition and fulfilment of man’s purpose and assignment in life.

From our anchor Scripture, we can see that the purpose of our life is offering praise to God. We live to honour, praise and worship God. Therefore, to praise God is to recognize that your purpose and assignment in life is to praise and worship God. And you fulfil that purpose by worshipping God in truth and in spirit. This is real praise and worship.

Beloved, your creation was not your decision; you did not come into this world because you decided to do so. So, your assignment in life cannot be your decision but your discovery. Let me give you an example: it is the manufacturer of a car that determines and defines the functions of the car. The pressing iron also, for example was not manufactured to be used as microphone; it cannot be used as a public address system as the microphone.

So, make up your mind to praise God because you were created for God’s Pleasure, to offer Him praise, worship and adoration, both in this life and in the life to come. Praise is an eternal commitment of man to God.

Remember this: Praise is the recognition and fulfilment of man’s purpose and assignment in life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to praise God in fulfilment of God’s Purpose for your life.
  2. Let all that you do bring praise unto God.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You clothe me with the garment of Praise. Help me to fulfil the reason for my creation by praising You always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TREM Devotional – See The Way God Sees

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 23 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – See The Way God Sees

TOPIC: See The Way God Sees (TREM Devotional 23 September 2022)

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians chapter 4:16 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Stop looking at what you are seeing and begin to see as God sees. The scripture says in 2 Corinthians 4:16-17: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

What you are going through is not going to last forever. It is a stepping stone to great and mighty things. When Jesus was baptized and was full of the Holy Spirit, the scriptures said He was led of the Spirit into the wilderness. The Holy Spirit led Him into the wilderness to go and prepare Him for ministry. In the book of Luke chapter 4:14, the scriptures said: “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.” (Luke 4:14 KJV).

He returned in the power of the Spirit after going through the wilderness. He returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee. And there went a fame of Him throughout all the region roundabout. God made Jesus’ fame to be noised abroad only after the wilderness experience. Everyone knew about him. People will hear your testimonies. They will hear of God’s goodness in your life. They will hear of God’s mercies upon your life.

Beloved, we do not look at the things we see, but at the things, we do not see. For whatever we see is temporary and what we do not see is eternal.

God has done eternal work in your life. It will certainly manifest. And there is nothing the devil can do about it.

DCLM Daily Manna – Stick With God

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 23 September 2022 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Stick With God

TOPIC: Stick With God (DCLM Daily Manna 23 September 2022)

TEXT: Job 27:1-10 (KJV)

1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

2 As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;

3 All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

4 My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

5 God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.

6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

7 Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.

8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

9 Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?

10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

KEY VERSE: “My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live” (Job 27:6).

MESSAGE:

The best time to gauge the level of commitment you have towards God is when things are not going according to plans in your life. Such a time brings out the best or the worst in you. It shows a clearer expression of your faith or unbelief in God and His promises.

It was not different for Job. He had been experiencing severe affliction. His wife had lost hope of his recovery and his friends had condemned him as a sinner. His condition was so severe that He cursed the day he was born. Yet, now in the face of physical and emotional pain, he vowed never to turn his back on God.

Although he wrongly assumed that it was God that “vexed [his] soul”, he resolved not to utter wicked and deceitful words while he yet lived. He knew that such action would only serve to justify the unwarranted condemnation from his friends. He would instead, retain his integrity and not abandon righteousness because of his suffering. He would not do anything that could attract a reproach to his person, for then, he would be living like a hypocrite who has no hope in eternity even though he has amassed so much in life. God would not hear his cry when troubles come and he would not delight in turning to God at such a time.

Righteousness is the believer’s badge of honour. Whatever our experiences in life, we must look beyond immediate difficulties and focus on living to please God. We must retain our faith in Him and shun all hypocritical lifestyles. We should trust God to deliver us from our present troubles. If in His sovereignty, He decides not to do so, we should rest assured that He still has our best interest at heart.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God is with us when we are with Him!

TREM Devotional – These Are The Days Of New Things

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 22 September 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – These Are The Days Of New Things

TOPIC: These Are The Days Of New Things (TREM Devotional 22 September 2022)

“Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land. And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:” Exodus 6:1-2 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

When Pharaoh resisted, God’s people were so devastated, and they were mad at Moses. So, Moses went back to God who sent him, and said God what next? God answered him in Exodus 6:1-2. In other words, God was saying “Moses in case you don’t know who is speaking, in case you don’t know who made the promise, I want to remind you. I am the Lord, I am He that appeared to your father Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by my name, God Almighty. I revealed myself to them as El-Shadai in their time.

Beloved, these are new times. New resources are being released. New weapons are being released. New revelations and new ideas that could contend with the challenges of today are being released. Forget about what has happened in the past. There are aspects of God that no man knows. But you will know when you follow on to know.

When you cannot trace God, trust Him.

He knows what He is doing. He is many-sided! He has different aspects. He can always do what has never been done before.

These are days when God is doing things that He has never done before. New opportunities, new insights, and great things are springing up.

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19 KJV).

The Bible assured us that gentiles shall come to our light and kings to the brightness of our rising. These are days of new anointing. The days of new leaders in different phases of life. Young people are arising in different fields of human endeavor. You will take your portion in the land.
