DCLM Daily Manna – The End Is Near!

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 29 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The End Is Near!

TOPIC: The End Is Near! (DCLM Daily Manna 29 July 2022)

TEXT: Luke 21:28-38 (KJV)

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

KEY VERSE: “So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand” (Luke 21:31).

MESSAGE:

Human ingenuity has developed in key and sensitive areas of life; they are indicators that help to predict the approach of the end of a thing and suggest the right action in order not to be caught off guard. In the money markets for instance, skilled investors know what to look out for in order to pull out of a particular capital market so as not to suffer a devastating loss. Of course, those who are ignorant of these signs or choose to deliberately ignore the warnings live to count their losses.

Jesus, in the verses preceding our text, outlined before His listeners, signs that would herald the end of time. Now He tells them that as soon as they see the signs coming to pass, they must be prepared as the end is bound to come. He warned them against acts that can hinder them from noticing the approach of the end of things. And told them to remain sober, watchful and prayerful if they did not want to be caught unawares.

The happenings around us are signs that the end is near. The increase and lack of restraint in sins, the growth in knowledge and technology, the increase in war, civil disturbances, social unrest, insecurities, the persecutions of Christians, the multiplication of falsehood and the falling away of many from the faith, etc., all attest to this fact.

Wise believers must take to the counsel of Christ to watch, pray and get rid of everything that will deaden their spiritual sensitivity. This, we must do so that we can sail unhindered when the time comes for us to depart! Let all the signs you see make you know that the end is near.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Are you ready for the flight to heaven?

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Ephesians 1-3

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, give me the Spirit of watchfulness and prayer at all times.
  2. Lord, give me the wisdom to always be in readiness for your coming.
  3. Lord, help me to live the life that will be accounted worthy to escape all the evils coming on those who miss the rapture.
  4. Lord, restore all the brethren who have lost focus of your coming.

HYMN: My portion for ever. (GHS 253)

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – A Modality For Soul Winning

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 28 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: A Modality For Soul Winning

TOPIC: A Modality For Soul Winning (Seeds Of Destiny 28 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. Acts 8:35.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One method of soul winning is to start from where you meet the sinner.

MESSAGE:

In Christianity, our salvation is meant to bring salvation to others, and the chain continues. We are saved to save other people; we are saved to win souls.

Now, one method of soul winning is to start from where you meet the sinner.

From our anchor Scripture, please, take note of this statement:
…. and (Philip) began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

The Ethiopian eunuch was reading the Book of Isaiah. Then the Holy Spirit told Philip to run to him. When he ran to the Ethiopian eunuch, he preached to him by beginning from the same Scripture, the Book of Isaiah, which he (the Ethiopian eunuch) was reading. Where he met the man was where he started from.

This means, in order to get people saved, you are to preach to them from where you meet them. Start your discussion with what you see or meet them doing and progress into telling them about Jesus Christ.

Preaching does not mean telling people, “If you don’t repent, you will go to hell. You are a sinner. Look at you. All I want is to help you, if you like, go to hell”

No! Don’t preach like that. If you talk to people like that, you send them away. You don’t use harsh words to win souls. No one would listen to you if you talk to them like that. Unfortunately, this is how many people preach and they think they are very zealous for God.

This is not how to preach and win souls for God. You are to begin by discussing what you meet them doing, like Philip. This means, you are to begin with whatever is the most important matter to the person at the moment you meet them, the very thing you meet them doing at that moment.

Remember this: One method of soul winning is to start from where you meet the sinner.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Ask God for the appropriate grace and wisdom to use in preaching to sinners.
  2. Do not judge or condemn the sinner.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for Your Wisdom to win souls, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE METHOD OF SOUL WINNING

QUOTE: Each will be rewarded for the number of souls he led from hell to heaven. Each will be rewarded for the number of backsliders he restored back to God. Culled from “MAKING FULL PROOF OF MINISTRY” by Dr Paul.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 40-42.

AMAZING FACT: By the third trimester, a developing baby can recognize their mother’s voice from inside the womb.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: Fresh Grace and Divine Help in soul-winning is released for you in Jesus’ Name.

TREM Devotional – God Has Fashioned Weapons For You

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 28 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God Has Fashioned Weapons For You

TOPIC: God Has Fashioned Weapons For You (TREM Devotional 28 July 2022)

“For the weapons of our warfare are not canal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds”. 2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The Christian battle is spiritual warfare. It is not a carnal battle. In other words, it is not a war of flesh and blood. The book of 2 Corinthians 10:3 says, “For though we walk in the flesh we do not war after the flesh…”. That means there is a place to hide in. You don’t just go about saying all that you are encountering around you.

Our weapons are fashioned by God Himself. They are not ordinary. The infallible, errorless, impregnable, and authoritative word of God is the weapon that God fashioned for you as a believer. The devil has no answer to it. That is why when Jesus was tempted by the devil, He kept saying, it is written.

Beloved, the place to hide is in the word of God. The devil has no answer to it. Whenever your mind has been bombarded by negative thoughts, pull them down with the word of God. Verse 5 reads, “Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing to captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”. Stop seeing yourself, your husband, your wife, and your children in the casket. See them celebrating and rejoicing. Cast down imaginations! How do you cast down imaginations? With the word of God!

Bring them down! Never allow them to bombard your mind. When the devil says something to you, speak back to him. When he says that you are going to die, say, I shall not die but live to declare the works of God. You put yourself right away in that very secret place. When he tells you that you can never make it in life, tell him that you have already made it for your life is hidden with Christ in God. You don’t cast down thoughts with thoughts, you cast down thoughts with words. When the thoughts come, cast them down with words. Don’t accommodate any negative thoughts.

DCLM Daily Manna – Don’t Be Obstinate!

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 28 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Don’t Be Obstinate!

TOPIC: Don’t Be Obstinate! (DCLM Daily Manna 28 July 2022)

TEXT: Zephaniah 3:1-9 (KJV)

1 Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!

2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the Lord; she drew not near to her God.

3 Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.

4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.

5 The just Lord is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame.

6 I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant.

7 I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings.

8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent.

KEY VERSE: “She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God.” – (Zephaniah 3:2).

MESSAGE:

Getting to learn from others and receiving instructions and guidance are the greatest privileges we have in life to improve and make advancement. So, it does us a lot of good when we have people who act as mentors, coaches and teachers and are willing to help us navigate through life so as to get the best. We do ourselves a great disservice therefore, when we choose to ignore the wise and good counsel they offer.

Israel as a nation had the special privilege of having the Almighty God as their Mentor, Leader and Guide. Unfortunately, they scorned the privilege, choosing to ignore His voice and walk obstinately after their own minds. They probably felt they had come of age and could manage and run their affairs without God. Consequently, God, through Prophet Zephaniah pronounced woe and severe judgment on them.

Obstinate people arrogantly feel they do not need anyone to look into their affairs and dictate to them what to do. They become defiant, self-willed and self-dependent. They are withdrawn, wanting to manage their affairs by themselves. They realise their errors when it is almost too late and pay dearly for their defiance and stubbornness.

Stubbornness is not a mark of a true child of God. Christians who are meek, lowly and humble in heart find it easy to learn, grow and be happy in life. Let us always be willing to hear, learn and take corrections and we will always enjoy divine favour and blessings. Humility pays.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Obstinacy and Christianity are no relations.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Exodus 39-40

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, visit me with fire and purge me from all inward and outward pollutions.
  2. Lord, visit our priests and prophets with the spirit of repentance and recommitment to living and preaching the full truth.
  3. Lord, visit again your people with repentance and consecration to holy and righteous living.
  4. Lord, it is time to visit our country and her rulers and awake all to righteousness and justice.

HYMN: Wash me O Lamb of God.(GHS 40)

TREM Devotional – You Have An Adversary

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 27 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – You Have An Adversary

TOPIC: You Have An Adversary (TREM Devotional 27 July 2022)

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

We have an adversary and so we must look into our secret place where we find the mercy of God. Every believer in Christ has an adversary. The adversary, the devil is still loose on the earth. He is at work, right now in the nations of the world. Paul speaks concerning this adversary in 1 Corinthians 16:9; “for a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries”. Not few, many!

Right now, all over the world, we have many adversaries. People are overwhelmed! There are challenges here and there. How are you going to escape the adversaries around the world? There is a hindering spirit trying to stop what God purposed for you. Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 2:18; “wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us” That is why you need the grace of God. A hindering spirit from the very pit of hell wants to stop you from achieving all the projections you have made concerning your business, your academic life, your family, and your ministry.

There is an adversary who has zeroed in on you. He is assigned specifically to take you out. But the devil is a liar! He cannot abort God’s destiny for your life. Your assignment is to resist him.

How do we resist him? Resist him steadfast in the word! The word is your secret place. And you are not alone. Some people are going through the same afflictions that you are going through. Also, some are bouncing back, and you are in the number.

Put yourself in the word. Find yourself in the word and hide there. Let God speak to you right there in the word of the spirit. Submit yourself to God, and then resist the devil. He will not flee from you if you don’t submit yourself to the word. That is why it is important that you submit yourself to God.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Hell Is Real

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 26 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Hell Is Real

TOPIC: Hell Is Real (Seeds Of Destiny 26 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Mark 9:45

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anyone who doesn’t know the Lord Jesus is on the road to hellfire.

MESSAGE:

Many years ago, I preached a message titled, Hell Is Real. When I gave the altar call, a young lady who responded to the altar call collapsed right in front of the altar. The ministers working with me thought she fell under the Power of God, but then they realized that she could not lift her hands and feet. Consequently, four persons had to carry her out of the auditorium lifeless.

After the service, I went to where she was laid. “How could someone come out for an altar call and die?” I asked myself. I checked her pulse rate and found out that it was very faint or not discernible. So, I tried everything I needed to do as a medical doctor to resuscitate her, but all to no avail. When I discovered that she was totally unconscious, I screamed, “This lady must not die. satan, lose your grip on her life. Come back to life in Jesus Name”

Then she screamed and came back to life. And I said, “Thank you Lord”. Thereafter, I went in for the second service.

Later on, they told me that after she collapsed, she said she found herself going to somewhere. She came to a junction and at that junction, she saw light and a crowd of jubilant people on one side, and on the other side she saw some people screaming in torment in fire. Right at that junction she saw an angel, and she told the angel, “I want to go there”, pointing at where the jubilant people were.

But the angel said, “Look at your dress. It is dirty. You cannot go there.” The angel pointed to the place where people were screaming in hellfire and told her, “This is where you belong.”

According to her, it was at this point in her discussion with the angel that she heard my prayer, and her journey of untimely death was arrested.

Beloved, hell is real. Anyone who doesn’t know Jesus is on the road to hellfire. That will not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Anyone who doesn’t know Jesus is on the road to hellfire.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Do not watch unbelievers wallow in sin without preaching to them.
  2. Always know that hell is real, and make up your mind to remain saved and save other people from hell.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask for the grace to live right and the passion to rescue souls from the horrors of hellfire, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE NECESSITY OF SOUL WINNING (I)

QUOTE: The Lord taught me that there are some sins that take people to hell, and there are some sins that take hell to people. That is, they do not need to wait until they die to go to hell. They begin to suffer hell from here. Culled from “WHO ARE YOU?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 34-36.

AMAZING FACT: The human brain can generate about 23 watts of power (enough to power a light bulb).

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The grace to live uprightly and avoid the torment of hell be released for you in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – He Is In Control

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 26 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — He Is In Control

TOPIC: He Is In Control (DCLM Daily Manna 26 July 2022)

TEXT: Daniel 7:9-14 (KJV)

9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

KEY VERSE: “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire” (DANIEL 7:9).

MESSAGE:

As we watch events unfold all over the world, it appears that there is never going to be an end to the reign of evil. Atrocities unheard of before are being committed every day. Governments of the world seem to have run out of ideas as to how to contain and curtail this monster that is consuming the world. But will this continue forever?

The passage under consideration gives us the comforting answer. Daniel is given the vision of the final overthrow of the kingdoms of wickedness as the Ancient of days sits on His throne of holiness and great splendour. It is a vision of the events of the last days when the kingdoms of this world, under the rule of Satan, will be brought to an end and Satan himself with his agents will be brought to judgment. God will then set up His everlasting Kingdom that will be sovereign.

While this vision points to a future fulfilment, it has a present day application form which the believer can draw hope and comfort. Though evil may reign unchecked in the world; in the life of the believer and in all matters that concern him, the Ancient of days sits on the throne and He is in complete control.

Let this be your comfort and strength. But if you are still a sinner, you must give up sin and accept Christ’s reign over your life. Only then can you have peace in this troubled world.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Evils shall be overthrown.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Exodus 33-36

Prayer Points:

  1. Give praises to Jesus the King of your life.
  2. Surrender your life and destiny into the hand of Jesus afresh and ask Him to rule and reign in your life.
  3. Invite Jesus to come and reign in your family and nation fully and let Him displace all competing powers and purposes.
  4. Ask Jesus to come down at the crusade and reign with full manifestation of His power.

HYMN: Crown Him king of kings.(GHS 211)

DCLM Daily Manna – Favour Deserves Faithfulness

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 25 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Favour Deserves Faithfulness

TOPIC: Favour Deserves Faithfulness (DCLM Daily Manna 25 July 2022)

TEXT: Amos 3:1-8 (KJV)

1 Hear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?

5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?

6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?

7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

KEY VERSE: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities” (Amos 3:2).

MESSAGE:

To whom much is given, much is expected. It will be an act of betrayal and a display of ingratitude if one receives so much favour and fails to reciprocate through acts of faithfulness and loyalty. In every sphere of human relationship and interaction, loyalty and faithfulness are expected as commensurate payback for every favour received.

God chose Israel out of the nations of the world to be His own people. He promised that He would make them great and a blessing to all the nations of the world. But Israel chose to sin against God. Disappointed at their unfaithfulness, He declared that He would punish them and no longer walk with them.

Great favour and blessings from God deserve great faithfulness from those He has favoured and blessed. If after we have been blessed by God, we choose to live in total disregard to His word, He will no longer walk with us. To scorn His favour is to court His fury and fierce punishment.

How do we show our gratitude to Jesus for His love unfailing and His tender care? The answer is simple. Be faithful to Him. Love Him. Obey Him. Do His will. There is no better way to respond to the love of God and the goodness, mercy and favour we received from Him at salvation other than binding ourselves to Him with the cord of faithfulness and loyalty. If truly God has been good to us, let us show loyalty to Him. He deserves it.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Every favour deserves faithfulness.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Exodus 30-32

Prayer Points:

  1. Praise God for His unmerited favour, grace and salvation.
  2. Promise God that you will never be ungrateful and ask God for more grace to be faithful.
  3. Ask for power to walk deeper and closer with God.
  4. Ask for the grace of God to come down mightily at the crusade to save all sinners and backliders participating.

HYMN: Close to Thee.(GHS 42)

DCLM Daily Manna – Don’t Demean Grace

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 23 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Don’t Demean Grace

TOPIC: Don’t Demean Grace (DCLM Daily Manna 23 July 2022)

TEXT: Jude 1-8 (KJV)

1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

KEY VERSE: “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude 4).

MESSAGE:

When people lack proper understanding of divine benevolence, they abuse and demean it. Many misunderstand God’s grace to be freedom from all obligations of the law and an unrestrained liberty to sin.

Apostle Jude, in our text, warned the believers of the early church to be on the lookout for peddlers and preachers who turn the grace of God into lasciviousness – a licence to sin. He did not fail to tell them that God would bring judgment on all those who fail to maintain the state of true grace that produces righteousness, just as He brought judgment on all those who left Egypt but remained in unbelief and the angels who failed to keep their state of purity. Those who revel in sins, like Sodom and Gomorrah, will eventually face divine judgment.

Grace does not release us from the obligations of the laws of God. Rather, it helps us to keep His righteous laws which we were unable to do when we were in sin. Those who claim they have grace as a liberty to sin only prove that they are yet to receive it.

God’s grace brings about true salvation and freedom from all sin. It teaches us to live godly in this decayed world. This is the kind of grace we must seek to have; it is dignifying and not demeaning!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Does your life dignify God’s grace or demean it?

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Exodus 23-25

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, give me power and abundant grace never to deviate from graciously holy living that pleases God.
  2. Lord, I ask for courage and boldness to keep on contending for the faith of the gospel diligently and actively.
  3. In this last days, help and my family members never to be candidates for hell fire.
  4. Lord, use the crusade to convert back all those that the devil has converted to the grace of Jesus Christ.

HYMN: Marvellous grace of our loving Christ. (GHS 129)

TREM Devotional – You Always Need The Word And Prayers

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 22 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – You Always Need The Word And Prayers

TOPIC: You Always Need The Word And Prayers (TREM Devotional 22 July 2022)

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” 2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Never allow the devil to lie to you that you can have enough of the word of God and prayers. If there was anything you need to latch on to at this time of uncertainty, instability, depression, frustration discouragement, and hopelessness, it is the word of God and prayers. You can never have enough of the word of God and prayers. This is not a time for a short word of prayer or a little talk with Jesus. No, this is a time of praying without ceasing, connecting to God, and connecting to the things of the Spirit. So that you can stay at a high level and operate in a greater dimension than the enemy.

David said in Psalms 27:13, “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living”. In other words, if he hadn’t believed, he would have fainted. What did he believe? He believed in the word of God. Romans 10:13-16 says; “for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them who preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel; for Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?” You see that again? You need to believe the report to get results. Now look at verse 17; “so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. That means you will not be able to have faith to access the goodness of God if you don’t hear the word of God. When you stop hearing the word, faith goes, and fear comes.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Light From Scriptures And Faith

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 22 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Light From Scriptures And Faith

TOPIC: Light From Scriptures And Faith (Seeds Of Destiny 22 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; Romans 10:8.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Light from the Word of God is the raw material for faith.

MESSAGE:

The Word of God is the fuel for faith. The Scripture makes it clear that one key to exercising faith is accessing light from the Word of God.

Romans 10:17 says,
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

This means, the Word of God explodes faith; where God’s Word abounds, faith is exercised. There are other Scriptures that corroborate this truth.

Acts 6:7 says,
And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Also, 1 Thessalonians 1:8 says,
For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak anything.

So, there is an intricate relationship between faith and the word.

Hebrews 11:3 throws further light on this:
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

So, the Word of God is the raw material for faith. Light from the Word of God is the raw material for the growth and deployment of faith. It is established that lighted people are faith-filled people; worded people are faith-filled people.

Remember this: Light from the Word of God is the raw material for faith.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Go through today’s message again.
  2. Make up your mind to study the Word of God and access light to explode your faith consistently.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to access light from Scriptures to explode my faith, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Sin Of Betrayal

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 22 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Sin Of Betrayal

TOPIC: Sin Of Betrayal (DCLM Daily Manna 22 July 2022)

TEXT: Job 22:1-20 (KJV)

1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,

2 Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?

3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?

4 Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?

5 Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?

6 For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.

7 Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.

8 But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.

9 Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

10 Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;

11 Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.

12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

13 And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?

14 Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.

15 Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?

16 Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:

17 Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?

18 Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

19 The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.

20 Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.

KEY VERSE: “Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?” (Job 22:5).

MESSAGE:

Williams Shakespeare in “Julius Caesar” dramatised the conspiracy that led to the assassination of Emperor Julius Caesar in a way that highlights the gravity of betrayal. In the book, Julius Caesar confronted the conspirators with the braveness of a warrior until he saw Marcus Brutus, a trusted ally, raised his sword and stabbed him. He suffered more pain and shock from the betrayal of a friend.

Eliphaz, in our text, tried to convict Job by speaking of his perceived sins. He and his companions condemned him in general as a wicked man and an hypocrite but Eliphaz went further to speak about specific sins and crimes that he alleged were committed by Job. The accusation of Eliphaz contradicts the stand of God who had earlier testified about the integrity and perfection of Job. We must, therefore, note that it is not what men say about us that really matter, but the testimony of God concerning us.

We should not be surprised when false accusations are raised against us in the church, workplace, community where we live or our immediate or extended family. The same was done to Jesus and the apostles. We must also avoid fighting back or revenge. The Scriptures say, “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves …for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord” (Romans 12:19). Finally, we must “Pray for them which despitefully use [us], and persecute [us]” (Matthew 5:44).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Those who condemn the servants of God will incur His wrath.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Exodus 20-22

Prayer Points:

  1. Ask for forgiveness for all your former sins of presumption.
  2. Lord teach me to always say NO to the temptation to fall into the sins of presumption.
  3. Lord, give me the right spirit to always verify the truthfulness of information before carrying them out to others.
  4. Purge us all O Lord from the sin of presumption and its tendency.

HYMN: Search me O God.(GHS 177)

TREM Devotional – God Has Lifted You

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 21 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Acknowledge The Good Things In You

TOPIC: God Has Lifted You (TREM Devotional 21 July 2022)

“That the communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” Philemon 1:6 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

A lot of people allow others to define them. But I have made up my mind never to allow anyone to define me. I will rather latch on to what God has said concerning me.

You must learn to acknowledge the good things that are for you in Christ Jesus. You are the righteousness of God in Christ. You are more than a conqueror. You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. You are born of God and greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world. Begin to acknowledge the good things that God has done for you. My God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I cannot fail! For me to fail, it is impossible. I refuse to fail! I don’t have the material or ingredient for failure in me. I am in the company of successful people. These should be your declarations for those are the things that Christ has done in your life.

You can no longer come down. You are going to be on top of your game. You are going to be on top of your business. You are going to be on top of your career and top of your profession. The devil cannot do anything about it. You are getting ready to testify. Your testimony will be noised abroad; loud and clear, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. It is your season of celebration. It is your season of dancing and rejoicing. It is your season of announcing the goodness of God to your world. God has decided to favour you and His favour will speak on your behalf anywhere you find yourself. People that matter will connect to you. They will gravitate towards you, whether they like you or not. Why? Because of what you carry: You are carrying something heavy. They will see what God has done for you. They will see the investment that God put in you.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – A Christian Also In Appearance

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 21 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: A Christian Also In Appearance

TOPIC: A Christian Also In Appearance (Seeds Of Destiny 21 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: And, behold, there met him, a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. Proverbs 7:10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is unfortunate that we are a generation of people that market the flesh and advertise carnality instead of spirituality.

MESSAGE:

The Scripture makes it clear that we are created to be and live like Christ; we are to be conformed to His Image (Romans 8:29).

Now, as Christians, one area we should make a change to fit into the Nature of Christ is the area of our appearance as regards what we wear or how we dress. We should have a positive change of appearance to reflect modesty and decency upon becoming a born again Christian.

However, it is unfortunate that we are a generation of people that market the flesh and advertise carnality instead of spirituality.

There are people who believe that there is nothing like a godly or Christian-like appearance. But that is far from the truth! Obviously, there is a godly way to dress; there is a Christian-like and godly appearance. There is also an ungodly appearance. There is a Christian-like dressing and there is also a worldly dressing. If you see a godly person, there is a look or an appearance he carries. On the other hand, if you see an ungodly person, there is a look or an appearance he also carries.

If you do not know this, you will be deceived by some people who say that we live in an era of liberty and every form of dressing is acceptable, even as believers. That is a total lie!

In those days, when the missionaries brought Christianity to Africa, they did not need to advertise themselves before people knew they were godly people, even by their appearance. When they came, they brought a godly culture, a godly way of life, a decent way of dressing.

Today, the tragedy is that, many children of God have unconsciously joined the children of the devil to fulfil satan’s vision of leading people to hell by their way of dressing.

Beloved, determine to refuse to join unbelievers to commit sin; Let your appearance reveal the personality of your God and not the carnality of the devil. Be a Christian also in appearance.

Remember this: It is unfortunate that we are a generation of people that market the flesh and advertise carnality instead of spirituality.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Let your outward appearance reveal your God to your world.
  2. Dress with decency and decorum.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to make my appearance reflect Your personality and dignity. I refuse to fall into the temptation of indecent and carnal dressing, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTIANITY.

QUOTE: Today, many members of the Body of Christ are competing with the world in seductive dressing, wrongly appropriating office funds and foul languages. Now people cannot tell who is who. Culled from “WHO ARE YOU?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 19-21.

AMAZING FACT: Your nose and ears continue growing for your entire life.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: Receive the grace to function as a living representation of the Master in this world in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Can Darkness Cover?

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 21 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Can Darkness Cover?

TOPIC: Can Darkness Cover? (DCLM Daily Manna 21 July 2022)

TEXT: Job 24:14-25 (KJV)

14 The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.

15 The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.

16 In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.

17 For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.

18 He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.

19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.

20 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.

21 He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.

22 He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.

23 Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.

24 They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.

25 And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?

KEY VERSE: “In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light” (Job 24:16).

MESSAGE:

An hotelier in a state in the South Western part of Nigeria was arrested by the Police following complaints by a family that he installed secret cameras in hotel rooms that they finally discovered breached their privacy. Many human actions done in secret have become a public scandal due to the use of modern technology and secret cameras installed in strategic places. But God does not need a digital camera to see the actions of men done in secret under the cover of darkness; “all things are naked and opened unto…him…” (Hebrews 4:13).

Today’s text describes some categories of evil doers identified as murderers, adulterers and housebreakers who carry out their nefarious and shameful activities under the cover of darkness so that they will not be easily discovered. These are still very common in our contemporary society. They try to carry out their acts to evade discovery by law enforcement agents or other individuals.

Are you involved in any secret, sinful deal that is yet to be discovered? Are you stealing from your employer, parents, friends, customers or even from the church? Do not be deceived; God knows all your actions because His “eyes… are in every place, beholding the evil and the good” (Proverbs 15:3). He will certainly judge and bring to light, the hidden things of darkness.

The easy way out is to forsake all evil deeds, repent and make necessary restitution before God’s long hand of justice catches up with you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God sees through the darkest deeds of man.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Exodus 17-19

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, I thank you because you have helped me to chose the way of righteousness.
  2. Hold me by your power so I will not slide back into secret sins and self deceit.
  3. Lord, I want to partake of the glorious rapture and resurrection. Make me worthy and let me never trade it for any temporary pleasure.
  4. Let the Spirit of conviction of sins and repentance rest on all the participants of the coming crusade.

HYMN: Christ Jesus has the power. (GHS 19)

TREM Devotional – God Has Lifted You

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 20 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God Has Lifted You

TOPIC: God Has Lifted You (TREM Devotional 20 July 2022)

“And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.” John 6:3 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

You will notice from the above passage; that Jesus went up into a mountain. Beloved, you have been lifted by God and you are not coming down again. Remember, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. As Jesus went up, so shall you also go up. You will no longer play in the junior league. You are moving up. No longer will you be in the periphery. You are taking the center stage. You are no longer going to be in the reserved seat. God is putting you on a global platform. You are moving up! For too long you have struggled and struggled. You have run from pillar to post, looking for answers and solutions. Now, you are moving up! You are going up and taking the center stage. You will no longer be in obscurity. Your time to explode to your world has come. The time for the world to begin to see you the way God has truly made you have come. It is your time to shine.

Because of Jesus, you cannot go down again! I want to let you know that with Jesus on your side, you can no longer go down in life. No matter what the enemy has spoken concerning you, you will never go down in life again. A transition has taken place in your life. I can assure you that a shift has taken place. You have waited for a time like this and God is already moving you and shifting you into your real space. You have played in other spaces but have not really entered your space. Now you are entering your space. You are entering your global space in technology; in the finance industry; in the medical field, in the legal field, and different areas of human endeavors. God is moving you into your space in businesses. God is moving you into a new space. Up you go! And you are not coming down at all. It is a new day! It is a new era! It is not by might nor by power. It is by the Spirit of God. It doesn’t matter what your background is. The important thing is what God said concerning you. God’s word over you will be fulfilled.
