TREM Devotional – Jesus Laid Down His Life For Your Deliverance

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 4 August 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Jesus Laid Down His Life For Your Deliverance

TOPIC: Jesus Laid Down His Life For Your Deliverance (TREM Devotional 4 August 2022)

“Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” John 15:13 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Do you know that Jesus Christ was not arrested? He was not murdered, and He was not killed. Look at what he said in John 10:17 -18: “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have the power to lay it down, and I have the power to take it again…” He was the one who laid down His life. It was not the religious rulers who came and flaunted all their machetes and all their weapons. No! He laid down His life that He may take it again. Jesus said that He willingly laid down His life. That was the master’s stroke!

All these were done for mankind. They took Him, ridiculed Him, and messed Him up. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter and a sheep before his sharers, yet He did not open His mouth. He was wounded for our transgression and bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was on him and by His stripes, we were healed. It pleased the Father that He should be bruised and ridiculed. For the first time, the Father turned His back on Jesus. All along He has been calling Him Father. But that day he called Him my God: why have you forsaken me. He was forsaken so that you and I will no longer be forsaken.

And they crucified Him. He was killed like a criminal. All these humiliations were for a reason. That is why I tell people whenever they try to despise grace: that the fact that grace is unearned, unmerited, and undeserved does not mean it was not paid for. The huge price was paid so it can be inherited. Jesus paid so that we will no longer pay. That is why you must always appreciate grace. How can you pay for grace? Man had no answer to sin. Man could not deliver himself from sin. It had to take God to come from heaven. He came to deliver us from the scourge of sin. When Jesus said it is finished, it meant that the price needed to be paid for man to be free had been fully paid.

The devil thought that he will still stop God’s agenda, but he had already failed. And there is nothing he can do to abort your destiny.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Who Is A Meek Person?

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 4 August 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Who Is A Meek Person?

TOPIC: Who Is A Meek Person? (Seeds Of Destiny 4 August 2022)

SCRIPTURE: The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. Psalms 25:9.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A meek person is someone who is not ashamed to turn back when he realises that he has made a wrong move.

MESSAGE:

It has been confirmed that the quality of meekness is key to accessing Divine Direction. Pride on the other hand, is an enemy of Divine Direction.

The Scripture makes it clear that Moses was meeker than everyone in his generation, and he heard God more than everyone else in his generation. He encountered God more than everyone in his generation (Numbers 12:3-8).

Now, who is a meek person? He or she is someone who is not ashamed to turn back when he realises that he has made a wrong move. A meek person says, “This move I made is a wrong move, so I must make a U-turn.” No matter how far you have gone in the wrong direction, make a U-turn when you discover you are wrong. This is meekness!

You see, there are people who packed their luggage and travelled out of this country, Nigeria to the United Kingdom or the United States of America. But on the first day of their arrival in the UK or the US, everything inside them said, “You are in the wrong place. You have made a wrong move. You are in a wrong location,” and immediately their peace was lost. Their joy was lost.

Everything around them looks as dry as the Sahara Desert. But they would not make a U-turn to come back home because of what people would say. They say to themselves, “What will people say if I go back home? Will people not say that I am confused? Is it not the same America that other people are succeeding? I will remain here.”

This is a proof of bankruptcy of meekness! They would prefer to die with the wrong step than make a U-turn.

Beloved, determine never to live your life like that. Always be ready to make a U-turn whenever you realize you are on a wrong path.

Remember this: A meek person is someone who is not ashamed to turn back when he realises that he has made a wrong move.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Resist every spirit of arrogance.
  2. Be teachable. Be humble. Be meek.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for showing me the quality of meekness as posture to accessing Divine Direction. I ask for the Spirit of meekness, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 61-63.

AMAZING FACT: Your enamel is the hardest substance in your body.

DCLM Daily Manna – Join The End-Time Revival

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 4 August 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Join The End-Time Revival

TOPIC: Join The End-Time Revival (DCLM Daily Manna 4 August 2022)

TEXT: Zechariah 8:18-23 (KJV)

18 And the word of the Lord of hosts came unto me, saying,

19 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

20 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:

21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also.

22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.

23 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

KEY VERSE: “And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also.” (Zechariah 8:21).

MESSAGE:

The worldwide fatalities of current pandemic have elicited many conspiracy theories. Inability of medical science to provide conclusive panacea has driven many to seek the Lord.

There are stories of citywide prayers in countries of Latin America, Asia, Africa and other parts of the world – people beseeching the Lord for intervention. Prophecies about the last days are being fulfilled. Worldwide events and situations are coming together to advance God’s preordained purpose.

In our text, though the Israelites had suffered the judgment of God because of their past rebellion, the prophet promises that a time of revival is coming. God, in His infinite mercy and love, foretold and promised that they would be restored to true worship in the last days. Nations will begin to seek the true God.

That this scriptural prophecy is being rapidly fulfilled in our days is no longer news to ardent Bible students. Even scientific researchers are daily proving the veracity and accuracy of these prophecies. Testimonies abound of non-Christians encountering the Lord in mysterious circumstances. These are the days the prophets spoke about, the time of reconciliation and restoration to God.

But the question is, will you be left out? The Lord says, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). He is personally reaching out to you right now; allow the Spirit of grace into your heart.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
“The final train of God’s grace is boarding. Don’t miss it!”

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
John 8-9

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, give me revival in my heart and let my life be showing forth your full glory.
  2. Touch my heart, wake me up and give me hunger and thirst for revival of righteousness in the land.
  3. Lord of glory, visit your church with revival of righteousness.
  4. God of revival, let revival fire begin to burn in my city and country and destroy the works of Satan.

HYMN: Revive the church today

TREM Devotional – The God We Serve Is A Good God

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 3 August 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – The God We Serve Is A Good God

TOPIC: The God We Serve Is A Good God (TREM Devotional 3 August 2022)

“how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The coming of Jesus was to save mankind from his sin and sorrow. The angel announced that peace has finally come to the earth. The coming of Jesus brought to an end the war that the devil created which caused misunderstanding between man and God. And it is goodwill toward all men, for everyone who believes.

When Jesus arrived, He was anointed by the Holy Ghost, with power, and He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. No man has ever been to heaven except Him who came down. He is the only one that can show us the way back to heaven. The Bible tells us that he went about doing good. He healed the sick. He is the express image of God. The brightness of His glory. He was healing the sick, raising the dead, and telling us how good our God is.

The God that we serve is good. He fed the hungry. He cleansed the leper. He forgave sinners. He broke the power of death. Jesus the son of God, our Savior went about doing good to everyone that believes. He showed us the loving-kindness of God to mankind. And yet the devil was not tired.

The devil still believed that he has the final word. Beloved, the devil does not have the final word. I don’t care what he is saying about you. That is not the final word. You may have sickness in your body, it is not the final word. finances may be the challenge but that is not the final word. Your academic life, your marital life, or any other area of your life may be having a challenge but that is not the final word. The God that you and I serve will intervene on your behalf. He will fight your battles. He will silence the voice of the enemy. He will render ineffective the forces of hell. You will testify of the goodness of God.

Whatever you are going through will pass. That challenge will not see your end. You will see the end of that challenge because Jesus Christ is alive.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Desperation To Know The Mind Of God

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 3 August 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Desperation To Know The Mind Of God

TOPIC: Desperation To Know The Mind Of God (Seeds Of Destiny 3 August 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. Hosea 6:3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To hear God, you must be desperate to know the Will of God per time.

MESSAGE:

There are postures (or positioning) a person ought to take in order to hear God. One reason why many people cannot hear God even though they are willing to know the Mind of God is the ignorance of the right posture in hearing God.

Now, one of the postures or positioning to hearing God is desperation. To hear God, you must be desperate to know the Will of God per time. If you persist in your quest to know the Will or Mind of God, you will know it.

Hosea 6:3 says,
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

Habakkuk 2:1 says,
I Will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

This is desperation!

You see, you can’t have insight until you have interest. You can’t have insight where you don’t have interest.

From my personal experience and the experiences of others, I have observed that desperation is key to Divine Direction. God will not bother you with what does not bother you. If it doesn’t bother you to know the Mind of God for various areas of your life and destiny, God will not bother you with insight regarding those areas. Desperation is key to knowing the Mind of God for your life.

Remember this: To hear God, you must be desperate to know the Will of God per time.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Be desperate to know the Mind of God per time.
  2. Draw closer to God always at the place of prayer.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask for the grace to be desperate in knowing You Lord. Help me to know Your Will concerning my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – The Inevitable Fiery Day

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 3 August 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Inevitable Fiery Day

TOPIC: The Inevitable Fiery Day (DCLM Daily Manna 3 August 2022)

TEXT: Malachi 4:1-6 (KJV)

1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

KEY VERSE: “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch” (Malachi 4:1).

MESSAGE:

Towards the end of World War 2, the Americans dropped two atomic bombs, codenamed “Little Boy” and “Fat Man”, on Hiroshima and Nagasaki cities of Japan. There was no prior warning; the day looked normal until everything was obliterated within seconds. The devastation was unbelievable, both properties and people were burnt to ashes. The incident ended the war.

We are in the last days. God’s fiery vengeance upon unrepentant sinners on earth is inevitable. Being merciful and just, He has variously warned in both the Old and New Testaments that sin must be punished. A forerunner to this is God’s fiery judgment on the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for their wickedness. Again, the Scripture forewarns that “the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up”.

While God is gracious, merciful and compassionate, He is also a God of justice and a consuming fire. To escape His wrath, the sinner must seek the Lord before it is too late; turn away from sin and accept God’s offer of salvation by grace through faith. Then he/she is to remain in that grace, serving the Lord acceptably. Complacency in a world marked for destruction is dangerous. Escape for your life!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God’s judgment has no appeal.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
John 6-7

Prayer Points:

  1. Thank God because He is a faithful rewarder that, though He might appear to delay, will always keep to His word.
  2. Ask God to let these truth sink into your heart and subconscious mind.
  3. Pray that God will help you by grace to be among the number that will rule with Christ over the wicked.
  4. Tell God that you are tired of the reign of the wicked and that right now He should start reigning in your city more than ever before.

HYMN: His word will never fail.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Service – A Key To Insight

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 2 August 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Service – A Key To Insight

TOPIC: Service – A Key To Insight (Seeds Of Destiny 2 August 2022)

SCRIPTURE: The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. Psalm 25:14.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One key to insight is service. Service brings insight.

MESSAGE:

Insight or revelation is crucial to life and destiny fulfilment. Those who have insight make impact in life. Insight is a key to flight.

Now, one key to insight is service. Service brings insight.
To fear God means to reverentially worship and serve Him. And the secrets (insights) of the Lord are with those who fear, reverence, run His errands, or serve Him. (Psalm 25:14).

God shows His covenant to His servants. For example, in the days of Daniel, no one served God like Daniel. Even when there was a decree that nobody should pray, Daniel prayed until he was cast into the lions’ den.

The king knew Daniel as a servant of the Most High God. Everyone in Babylon knew that Daniel was dedicated to the service of God (Daniel 6:20).

Beloved, the question is, in your office or in your family, what do people know you for? Regarding service to God, what are you known for?

Now, in the generation of Daniel, no one had more revelation than him; no one had the revelation of the Word of God and the revelation of the Spirit like Daniel. So, if you will serve God like Daniel served, you will connect high frequency insights from God.

If you see a person who is lost in soul winning, distributing tracts here and there, fasting, praying, serving in the House of God, saturating the neighbourhood with the Glory of God through the cell fellowships, that person is a candidate for abundant light and insights from the Scripture.

Remember this: One key to insight is service. Service brings insight.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to be a nominal Christian; be dedicated to God in service.
  2. Make the service of God like soul winning, assignments in the House of God, and responsibilities in the Home Church, etc. top priorities of your life.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to service You passionately and dedicatedly, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – The Legacy Of Personal Example

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 2 August 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Legacy Of Personal Example

TOPIC: The Legacy Of Personal Example (DCLM Daily Manna 2 August 2022)

TEXT: 2 Thessalonians 3:6-15 (KJV)

6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

KEY VERSE: “For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you” (2 Thessalonians 3:7).

MESSAGE:

It is often said that actions speak louder than words. A songwriter wrote,

“While passing thro’ this world of sin,
And others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within;
Let others see Jesus in you.”

A so-called Christian father who was a secret drinker never brought alcohol home. So everyone in his family believed he does not drink. That was until his son passing through a back street saw his father’s truck parked beside a pub. He went in to greet him only to see him guzzling whiskey. That left an indelible negative impression in the boy’s mind.

At the establishment of Thessalonian church, several socially prominent and wealthy people were converted. As their manner was, Paul and his team laboured as tent-makers to support themselves. They did not request for upkeep from a church made up of new converts. This showed their dedication and consecration towards the furtherance of the gospel, not financial rewards. When it was reported that some busybodies within the church refused to work and were living off the wealthy, Paul had the moral authority to rebuke them and set things right.

Laziness is unbecoming amongst believers. Ministers should shun the temptation to make merchandise of God’s flock (Matthew 10:8). Nobody, who can work, should live off industrious members of the church.

However, this does not preclude helping the poor and needy among the body of Christ. We should not be “weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Be a good example to others around you.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
John 4-5

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, enable me never to live the life that will make you and your children to be withdrawing from me.
  2. Let Christlikeness and exemplary living be my burning desire and constant prayer points.
  3. Lord, give me power and love that will never grow weary in doing food to those deserving and undeserving.
  4. Let the grace of God to be consciously living the life of Christ be poured abundantly on all your children.

HYMN: Let others see Jesus in you. (GHS 49)

TREM Devotional – God Will Fix It For You

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 1 August 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God Will Fix It For You

TOPIC: God Will Fix It For You (TREM Devotional 1 August 2022)

“…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Child of God, I want to remind you that there is nothing the devil can pull against your life that will intimidate God. In fact, ever before he pulls anything, God has already gone ahead, to wait for him at the end. When man fell, God spoke in Genesis 3:15 that the seed of the woman was going to bruise the head of the devil and the devil will bruise his heels. Of course, that was prophetic. The word became human and began to work. God was working behind the scene.

When the devil pulled off the stunt, he was wondering how God was going to come out of the dilemma. Do you know that sin is a ‘’dilemma’’? It is a dilemma in the sense that, God loves man, yet He hates sin and the soul that sins shall die. So how will God destroy man that He loves? Now if man will not be destroyed, how would God judge the sin that man has committed? That was a dilemma.

God loves man but hates sin. But the man that God loves has touched sin. So how will God separate the two? The entire human race has been infested by the sin nature. The book of Roman 5:12 tells us that: wherefore as by one man, Adam, sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all men; for that, all have sinned. So, through Adam, every human being born on the face of this earth became a sinner because all you needed to be a sinner is to be born. Once you are born, you entered into the sin track.

So, here was God faced with this dilemma. As a Master Strategist, God had an answer to it. Beloved, I want you to understand that there is no type of dilemma you can be in that God has not got an answer for. No matter what the devil has figured out concerning you, you are coming out with victory. His plans against you will not succeed. His wicked stunts against your life will not stand.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Dimensions Of Kingdom Service

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 1 August 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche — Dimensions Of Kingdom Service

TOPIC: Dimensions Of Kingdom Service (Seeds Of Destiny 1 August 2022)

SCRIPTURE: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Service to God and to the Kingdom of God is a non-negotiable obligation of every child of God.

MESSAGE:

You are welcome to the eighth month in 2022, our year of overflowing Grace and Glory. God shall give you positive surprises in overflowing dimensions this season in Jesus Name.

The Scripture makes it clear that God saves His children so they can serve Him (Exodus 8:1). Service to God and to the Kingdom of God is a non-negotiable obligation of every child of God. It is the obligation of God’s children to advance the Kingdom of God on earth (Genesis 1:28, Matthew 6:10), and one way to do this is Kingdom service or Kingdom assignment.

Now, there are basically three dimensions of Kingdom service or Kingdom advancement:

First, there is a prayer dimension of Kingdom service or Kingdom advancement. This is praying for the advancement of the Kingdom of God on the earth (Matthew 6:9-11).

Second, there is also the giving dimension of Kingdom service or Kingdom advancement. This involves giving your resources towards Kingdom advancement (Psalm 50:5).

Third, we have the Kingdom advancement outreach. This entails going out to evangelise with the objective of winning souls for Christ into the Kingdom (Mark 16:15-16).

These are the three basic dimensions of Kingdom service that can trigger massive revival. We must embrace these three fundamental personal responsibilities to the Kingdom if we must see revival in our generation.

Beloved, if you decide to make yourself available to pray souls into the Kingdom of God, give your resources towards the enlargement of the Kingdom, and reach out to souls in evangelism, you will not miss your rewards in time and in eternity. You cannot escape the Blessing by being a blessing to the Kingdom.

Remember this: Service to God and to the Kingdom of God is a non-negotiable obligation of every child of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to serve God and the Kingdom with all you have.
  2. Hold nothing back in your services to God, to the Kingdom and to humanity

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the Grace to deploy all I am and all I have in my service to You and to the Kingdom, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Verifiable Truth

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 1 August 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Verifiable Truth

TOPIC: Verifiable Truth (DCLM Daily Manna 1 August 2022)

TEXT: 1 Timothy 1:12-19 (KJV)

12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

KEY VERSE: “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” (1 Timothy 1:15)

MESSAGE:

Two healthy and active twin sisters were born in Britain in 2005. The difference between them was visible in their skin colour. One of them was black with curly black hair while the other was blond and fair skinned. They were simply black and white babies! Their parents had no fertility issues and there was no child switching at the birth hospital. Geneticists were baffled and queried how it came about. But with God, nothing is impossible.

Apostle Paul was never tired of sharing the miraculous story of his gracious conversion. He admitted by his own confession that he was once “a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but [he] obtained mercy, because [he] did it ignorantly in unbelief.” His encounter with the Lord on the way to Damascus led to his repentance and conversion.

Paul’s undeniable salvation is an affirmation and a pattern to those who should thereafter believe on Jesus for eternal life. We understand by his testimony that there is no one that God cannot transform, even the vilest sinner.

Today, the transforming power of grace still works wonders in the lives of those who would believe in Christ for redemption. For “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). If you will come, He will receive and empower you to live a life that is pleasing to God.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Grace turns the vilest sinner into a saint.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
John 1-3

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray for all the religious unconverted church members to be assisted by God to experience this unforgettable experience of salvation.
  2. Ask God to decorate your life with exceeding and increasing abundant faith, love and grace.
  3. Pray for increasing understanding that will always see and seize the blessings in all travails and challenges.
  4. Ask God to train you up as a better soldier for Christ.

HYMN: The day I will never forget

DCLM Daily Manna – Growth Through Diligence

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 31 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Growth Through Diligence

TOPIC: Growth Through Diligence (DCLM Daily Manna 31 July 2022)

TEXT: 2 Peter 1:4-10 (KJV)

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

KEY VERSE: “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall” (2 Peter 1:10)

MESSAGE:

A parent, wanting to show her child that it was time to start crawling, dropped a toy some feet away from him. The child, after much struggling, reached the toy with joy. Some other time, after observing others walking about, the child learnt to stand. Soon after that, he took some faltering steps and later could even run. It took persistence and diligence on the part of the child to learn to do all these.

The virtues outlined by Apostle Peter in the text represent rungs on a spiritual growth ladder. Spiritual maturity of a Christian is akin to climbing a ladder, which calls for determination and diligence. Mastery comes through prayer and practice. The enabling grace required for this has been given by God who has called us to glory and virtue. His abiding presence, the guidance of His Spirit and the assuring promises of His word are ours.

Growth and manifestation of the virtuous fruit of the Spirit demand diligence. It requires daily study and practice of God’s word. And “whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).

Set before us are “great and precious promises” from Him who cannot lie. Do not give up. All hindrances and obstructions will turn to stepping-stones as you persevere. God is watching over you and the angels are cheering.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
I can do all things through Christ.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Philippians 1-4

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, I don’t want to fall from grace. Give me grace and strong will to be playing my part diligently.
  2. Father, give me hunger, thirst and needful diligence to be growing and be glowing in those multidimensional graces in the text.
  3. Give me more of your gracious Spirit that will banish all blindness, dryness and unfruitfulness in my life.
  4. Lord, restore all backsliders at this ongoing crusade.

HYMN: I am bound for Cannan. (GHS 27)

TREM Devotional – Stay In The Secret Place

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 29 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Stay In The Secret Place

TOPIC: Stay In The Secret Place (TREM Devotional 29 July 2022)

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”. Psalms 91:1 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Jesus said in John 6:63, “it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” It means that as a believer, you are not supposed to stay in the flesh. You are meant to stay in the spirit. The spirit realm is the place of power and authority. The flesh profits nothing. When you hide in the word, it changes your perspective completely.

David said in Psalms 91:1, “he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.” Do you see that? When your mind is being bombarded and the devil begins to lift his lies and project them in an intimidating manner, just stay in that secret place and begin to look unto God. Your face will be enlightened, and you will not be ashamed because, in the secret place, your negative languages change.

In the book Psalm 91: 2, the scripture says, “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him will I trust.” (KJV). In other words, when you are in the secret place, your confession will be of the Lord. You are not going to say of diseases and sicknesses. You are not going to say of the devil, nor what they are saying on social media. You have received enough negative information and bad news. It is time to shut down and zero in on the word of God. That is the place to hide.

Your trust should be in the Lord. Your trust should not be in doctors, as good as they are. Your trust has to be in the Lord. “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” (Psalm 20:7 KJV). The scripture declares further: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6). That is what happens in the secret place.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Do Not Follow Society; Follow Jesus

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 29 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche — Do Not Follow Society; Follow Jesus

TOPIC — Do Not Follow Society; Follow Jesus (Seeds Of Destiny 29 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. Exodus 23:2 (NIV).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To follow the dictates of society is to lose your purpose in life.

MESSAGE:

In our world today, there are people whose lives are controlled by the dictates of society. For them, majority carries the vote. If the whole world is running to hell, they run with them. We are living in a kind of world where nobody bothers to ask the question, “Why are people going in this direction?” They just follow the crowd.

Sometime ago, we were driving on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, and someone who was driving a vehicle in front of us wanted to catch up with a schedule in Abuja. When he saw the heavy traffic in front he turned back. And before you knew it, everyone started turning back and following the man, and within a short time, there was a total gridlock.

I looked around and said, “What a world!” Nobody bothered to ask, “What is happening?” Someone even said that there was no problem in front, but no one wanted to listen to that. That is the kind of world we live in.

Let me give you another example, the moment someone takes off his suit, shirt or singlet and wears them midway, some young men will say, “That is the latest style. Let’s go for it.” This is why we see people walking half-naked on the street and don’t see anything wrong with it.

But what most Christians don’t know is that there are demonic fashion designers who are in covenant with satan, the devil. satan shows them from time to time, the design of fashion they should introduce to the world per time in order to send people to destruction. And as they introduce that fashion to the world, everybody is fulfilling satanic ministry by dressing all alike in seduction. They simply bow to negative societal influences. And to follow the dictates of society is to lose your purpose in life.

Beloved, watch who you follow, watch what you copy. Do not follow society; follow Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life.

To follow the dictates of the society is to lose your purpose in life.

Remember this: To follow the dictates of society is to lose your purpose in life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Look unto Jesus, the pattern Son of God, and refuse to follow the dictates of society.
  2. Be influenced by the conviction of God’s Word and follow God’s purpose and direction for your life.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the grip of societal influence. Help me to follow Jesus alone so I can fulfil Your Purpose for my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM-THE FEAR OF GOD (PART 2).

QUOTE: Many people lack conviction, so they live their lives at the dictates of society. Society dictates their dressing, eating, dancing and other behaviours. They belong to the bandwagon. Culled from “WHO ARE YOU?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 43-45.

AMAZING FACT: The femur, or thighbone, is the longest and strongest bone of the human skeleton.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: As you determine to take a stand for God, the Lord cause you to stand out in your generation in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – The End Is Near!

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 29 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The End Is Near!

TOPIC: The End Is Near! (DCLM Daily Manna 29 July 2022)

TEXT: Luke 21:28-38 (KJV)

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

KEY VERSE: “So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand” (Luke 21:31).

MESSAGE:

Human ingenuity has developed in key and sensitive areas of life; they are indicators that help to predict the approach of the end of a thing and suggest the right action in order not to be caught off guard. In the money markets for instance, skilled investors know what to look out for in order to pull out of a particular capital market so as not to suffer a devastating loss. Of course, those who are ignorant of these signs or choose to deliberately ignore the warnings live to count their losses.

Jesus, in the verses preceding our text, outlined before His listeners, signs that would herald the end of time. Now He tells them that as soon as they see the signs coming to pass, they must be prepared as the end is bound to come. He warned them against acts that can hinder them from noticing the approach of the end of things. And told them to remain sober, watchful and prayerful if they did not want to be caught unawares.

The happenings around us are signs that the end is near. The increase and lack of restraint in sins, the growth in knowledge and technology, the increase in war, civil disturbances, social unrest, insecurities, the persecutions of Christians, the multiplication of falsehood and the falling away of many from the faith, etc., all attest to this fact.

Wise believers must take to the counsel of Christ to watch, pray and get rid of everything that will deaden their spiritual sensitivity. This, we must do so that we can sail unhindered when the time comes for us to depart! Let all the signs you see make you know that the end is near.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Are you ready for the flight to heaven?

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Ephesians 1-3

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, give me the Spirit of watchfulness and prayer at all times.
  2. Lord, give me the wisdom to always be in readiness for your coming.
  3. Lord, help me to live the life that will be accounted worthy to escape all the evils coming on those who miss the rapture.
  4. Lord, restore all the brethren who have lost focus of your coming.

HYMN: My portion for ever. (GHS 253)
