TREM Devotional – Your Safety Is In Him

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 24 April 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Your Safety Is In Him

TOPIC: Your Safety Is In Him (TREM Devotional 24 April 2024)

“The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.” 2 Samuel 22:3 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Child of God, in these times we are in and with a whole lot happening around us, your safety is only in God.

The Book of Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it and is safe.” (KJV) To run means to rush and to stretch out like David, who pants after God. No wonder he was able to defeat Goliath. Now I know why Paul was always in pursuit of God. He said: “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3:10-11 (NKJV).

To run to Him means to hasten to Him. It means God is your first point of call in every challenge you face, not the doctor. We thank God for doctors. They do their jobs. But first, go to God. Before you pop that tablet and those capsules into your mouth, go to God first. Pray over it. Close the door to every other suggestion and doubt. Find out what God has got to say in every situation. That is how to run to God. You ask, Lord, what is your view concerning this health situation? What is your view concerning my business? What is the next level? What should I do?

The righteous knows the value of God’s Word. Not everyone wants to hear God, but truly righteous people want to hear Him. If you believe in His promises, you will run to Him. The good thing is that you can hear from God anywhere with technology. Don’t stop hearing. Every other thing will not give you stability. The only thing that will give you stability is God’s pure, undiluted, infallible, and errorless Word. That is what you need!

DCLM Daily Manna – We Shall Be Like Him!

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 24 April 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — We Shall Be Like Him!

TOPIC: We Shall Be Like Him! (DCLM Daily Manna 24 April 2024)

KEY VERSE: “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2).

TEXT: 1 John 3:1-4 (KJV)

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

MESSAGE:

We are all familiar with the kind of feeling we have when we are expecting something new and special. It may be the prospect of a dream job, a relocation to a new and desired place or the meeting of a very special person – spouse, long time friend or a celebrity. Our excitement and anticipation cannot be hidden. As we look forward to that special thing, we cannot hide our wonder as to how we will feel when it finally comes. Actually, this kind of joyful expectation keeps us upbeat. Every day, we look forward with a lively hope.

It is this kind of feeling of joyful expectation that the Apostle John expresses in our reading today. He is astonished at the manner of love God shows towards us as Christians. It is so amazing for men to be called the sons of God. Much more exciting is the fact that we will see Jesus when He comes again. And not just seeing Him; we will be just like Him! This is indeed amazing!

When we share this same hope with the Apostle John, we will not be too bothered with our present state or lot in life. We will not be worried if the world recognises and accepts us or not. The mere fact that we are the sons and daughters of the Almighty God who is the Possessor of all things on earth and in heaven is far more sufficient for us. But far beyond who we are and what we have now is this exciting hope of who we shall be when Christ returns at the rapture! Nothing present in this world can compare with our future hope.

This exciting hope puts springs in our feet and causes us to gallop through life with the joy of the Lord, not minding our present deprivations. This hope makes us to endure all trials and temptations so that we can keep alive and be in readiness when He comes.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Great expectation requires great preparation.

TREM Devotional – Jesus Is Not Ashamed To Identify With You

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 23 April 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Jesus Is Not Ashamed To Identify With You

TOPIC: Jesus Is Not Ashamed To Identify With You (TREM Devotional 23 April 2024)

“For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren.” Hebrew 2:11 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Beloved, if you are born again, you have become one with Christ. God sees you the same way he sees Christ. No difference!

John 17:23 says, “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” (KJV). The same quality of love God has for Christ is what He has for you. No difference! This is because you have taken on that name.

When you are facing challenges and obstacles, you stand and rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus. The moment that names proceed from your lips, the Lord steps in, steps you aside, and takes over. That is why the devil doesn’t want you to function in that name. Jesus steps you aside and moves in. That is what happens in the realm of the spirit. Supernaturally, you are moved out of the way of harm, out of the way of obstacles, and out of the way of difficulty. He takes over. And He takes it personally because you carry His name.

The name of Jesus is a strong tower. It means rugged and powerful. Tower means stronghold or fortress. It is a source of strength: A person who can be relied upon for support, aid, or comfort, especially in difficult times. It is a castle. It can be depended upon. It gives you stability and settles you. You are not afraid when you run into that tower. In that tower, you receive security. You are covered in the morning, afternoon, and night.

Beloved, you are covered! And because you are covered, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. You have the authority to condemn any tongue that shall rise in judgment against you because your righteousness is of the Lord. When everything is falling apart, Jesus becomes your anchor. So, you must learn to build your hope in Christ.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Offences Must Come

Pastor Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 23 April 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Offences Must Come

TOPIC: Offences Must Come (Seeds Of Destiny 23 April 2024)

SCRIPTURE: Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! Matthew 18:7.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: As far as the matter of offence is concerned, the only person who will never be offended is one who is already in the grave.

MESSAGE:

One major weapon of satan against the children of God in this end time is the weapon of offence. satan sponsors offences to scatter lives and families.

Let me give you one example. A husband and wife may live together and may not talk to one another because of offence. And if they would talk at all, it may be a short-wave communication.

In the morning, the wife greets the husband, “Good morning”.
With a frown, the husband responds, “Good morning”.
The wife asks, “What do I cook for you today?”
Reluctantly, the husband says, “Anything”.
Two siblings may not talk to each other at home, but when they come to church, they sing and clap hands as though all is well between them.

Matthew 18:7 says:
Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

Please take note of this
… for it must needs be that offences come; …

This is the truth: Offences must surely come. As far as the matter of offence is concerned, the only person who will never be offended is the one who is already in the grave. The people you love will offend you. The people that hate you will offend you. The people that you have helped will hurt you. The people that you have assisted will resist you. Everywhere you go, offences are staring you in the face.

You would understand that the very people that Jesus came to die for were the ones that crucified Him. He came to save them from destruction but they spat on Him, flogged, and then crucified Him. He laboured for three years to raise Judas Iscariot but the same Judas betrayed Him.

Beloved, this is what to do: despite the unavoidability of offence, make up your mind never to be the victim of offence. Make the choice never to act according to people’s offences.

REMEMBER THIS: As far as the matter of offence is concerned, the only person who will never be offended is the one who is already in the grave.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Equip yourself with the mentality that offences must surely come.
  2. Refuse to harbour bitterness despite obvious attempts to throw offences at you.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace never to harbour bitterness despite enemy’s desperate attempts at provocation. I ask that You deliver me from the temptation of destructive reactions to offences, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE PLAGUE OF LOVELESSNESS (PART ONE).

QUOTE: The force of vision, the force of passion, the power of love that backs up a man, the aggression, and the ability to run with vigour and with energy are killed in a person that is full of bitterness. Culled from the book, “AM I BITTER?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Esther 5-7.

AMAZING FACT: One windshield or window frame of a Boeing 747-400’s cockpit costs as much as a BMW.

PROPHETIC WORD (DECLARATION): Receive victory over every spell or plague of bitterness in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities.

DCLM Daily Manna – Courage To Do The Right

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 23 April 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Courage To Do The Right

TOPIC: Courage To Do The Right (DCLM Daily Manna 23 April 2024)

KEY VERSE: “And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD” (2 Chronicles 15:8).

TEXT: 2 Chronicles 15:1-13 (KJV)

1 And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

3 Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

6 And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.

10 So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

11 And they offered unto the Lord the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.

12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

13 That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

MESSAGE:

Martin Spoelstra narrates part of the inspiring and intriguing story of the courageous missionary to Africa, Mary Slessor (1848-1915). “…Mary saved the lives of hundreds of mothers and their twins. One evening, Mary heard the screams of an Okoyong woman tied to stakes on the ground. A man was preparing to scald her with boiling oil because the woman had given food to a starving slave man while her husband was away. The Okoyong laws demanded that the woman be punished for her offence. Mary ran to the screaming woman and put herself between the woman and the man holding the oil. The man danced around Mary, threatening to pour the oil. Despite the boiling oil and the size of the man, Mary stood her ground. The man back down and the woman was saved! Mary saved countless other lives, worked to end fighting between tribes and spread the message of Christ throughout Africa. By showing the courage to face her fears, Mary brought real and lasting change to African society and spirituality. What a great way to spend one’s life!”

Asa had just ascended the throne of Judah. He came up at a time the whole land appeared to have been sold to corruption. They had forgotten the true God and for a very long time, they had not had any priest or prophet to teach them the word of God. But Asa was encouraged by the words and prophecy of Azariah to stand with God and carry out the necessary reforms because God would surely reward his efforts. Asa took courage, put away all the abominable things in his kingdom and brought the people back to serve the true God.

If our families, churches and societies will be transformed and enjoy the blessings and favour of God, then we must be ready to demonstrate courage like Asa and root out all the sinful and abominable practices we find around us.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Will you be counted among those who stand for the right?

TREM Devotional – God’s Word You Believe And Speak Produces Power

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 22 April 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God’s Word You Believe And Speak Produces Power

TOPIC: God’s Word You Believe And Speak Produces Power (TREM Devotional 22 April 2024)

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” 2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The devil will challenge your acceptance because he challenged Jesus. But that should not make you refuse your acceptance. The more he challenges it, the more you declare it. That is how to win.

The greatest honour you can give to Jesus to appreciate what He did for you is by accepting what He did for you. Don’t let the devil cower you. Don’t let him throw you under the table. Heaven values you more than that. As far as heaven’s economy is concerned, you are successful because the price for your success has been paid.

You will not see Adam struggling in Genesis Chapters one and two. His struggle began when the devil stepped in and challenged what God called him. From that time, he started toiling. But before then, he was to stay in the garden. The garden was being watered. Yes, there was work, but he was working in rest, not working in a struggle.

You accept what God has called you by speaking it over your life. Speak what He has done. Speak His promises over your life repeatedly. Don’t be tired of speaking. Don’t allow the devil to close your mouth. A closed mouth is a closed destiny. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Where the word of the king is, there is power! The words you speak have the power to change your destiny and produce your expectations. Keep speaking it over and over. Pretty soon, you will see the manifestations.

Always declare these Words to yourself: I am perfectly created by a perfect God. I am approved, validated, and accepted by God. I am incredibly blessed with every blessing I need for life and godliness. Write it down. Paste it on your wall or mirror and say it over and over to yourself.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Renew Your Mind, Transform Your Life

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 21 April 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Renew Your Mind, Transform Your Life

TOPIC: Renew Your Mind, Transform Your Life (Seeds Of Destiny 22 April 2024)

SCRIPTURE: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Proverbs 23:7

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The renewal of the mind equals the transformation of life.

MESSAGE:

Previously, we saw that a man’s mind affects his life.

Today, we shall highlight some impact of the mind on one’s life?

  1. The state of the mind defines the state of life.
    Proverbs 23:7 says:
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
The state of the mind defines the state of life. Mentality defines reality.
  1. The renewal of the mind equals the transformation of life.
    Romans 12:1-2 says:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
You are transformed by the renewal of your mind. The renewal of the mind equals the transformation of life; the renewal of the mind equals the upgrade of life.
  2. A change of mind provokes a change of life’s season.
Your seasons change when your senses change. A change of mind provokes a change of life’s season.
When the prodigal son came to his senses and began to think, then his change came. A change of mind provokes a change of life’s season (Luke 15:17).
  3. God hears and responds to thoughts the same way He hears and responds to prayer.
    Ephesians 3:20 says:
Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
God does not only hear your prayers; He also hears your thinking. God answers both your asking and your thinking.

Isa 65:24 says:
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

God seems to say, “They have not spoken yet, I see their mind, I know their heart. I read their prayers from their heart and answer them.”

REMEMBER THIS: The renewal of the mind equals the transformation of life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Upgrade your life by renewing your mind.
  2. Give your mind to productive thinking.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to upgrade my life by renewing my mind. Help me to give my mind to productive thinking, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Call For The Elders

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 22 April 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Call For The Elders

TOPIC: Call For The Elders (DCLM Daily Manna 22 April 2024)

KEY VERSE: “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord” (James 5:14).

TEXT: James 5:13-15 (KJV)

13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

MESSAGE:

Darrin Hunt narrated how an elder, a Christian surgeon, in the course of his professional duties used to share spiritual things with the young surgeon and indirectly share the gospel with his patients. “Years ago, when I worked in the hospital’s Emergency Room, the Chief ER doctor, who was also one of my elders in my church, loved to have me help him sew up his patients so we could “discuss” spiritual things between us. Obviously, the patients, who didn’t dare move, were obliged to listen to us. I can still see his grin as we “shared” Christ.”

Naturally some situations in life can be overwhelming for inexperienced people who may tend to panic and give in to perplexity. Apostle James tells us how Christians ought to respond to challenges and difficulties. The first thing the Christian ought to do is pray. In the event of illness, the believer is to reach out to the elders so that they can pray for him. This prayer of faith will not fail as there is an assurance that God will answer and there will be healing and relief.

When we fail to follow this simple rule, we tend to suffer. For many troubled Christians, prayers do not come first. What they think first is to try to find solutions on their own. Their money, wisdom, knowledge, doctors, consultants, connections and counsellors come first. It is when all these seem to have failed and things are beginning to get out of hand that they consider praying and reaching out to approved and anointed ministers of God.

How we need to learn to follow this simple but potent principle that the Lord has given us! This principle is given to us because God answers prayers. As we honour and respect our elders, their prayers of faith will work effectually in our lives.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Effectual fervent prayers of faith are awesome and irresistible.

Sensational female Nigerian Gospel music singer, songwriter, recording artiste, and life coach, Yemi Laja, drops the music video to the single titled, “The Good News.”

Sharing the inspiration behind the song, the Founder of Mastercraft says; “I received this song during the COVID-19 pandemic when the world was on lockdown.”

“I had just been diagnosed with COVID-19 but as I meditated on Ephesians 1, I became fully convinced that I was far above COVID-19 and any other affliction of whatever name, shape, or form.

As I sang the lyrics of the song, my convictions were strengthened in the victory Christ won for me.” – she continues.

“This is more than a song: it is a confession of our victory over sin, sicknesses, death, principalities, powers, and every name threatening to work against God’s will for our lives because of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.” – Yemi Laja concludes.

She is a recording and performing Gospel Artiste, who has written several songs and ministered in various church platforms; also a Legal Practitioner with overseen (7) years of experience in general corporate and commercial transactions particularly in the real estate, media, and entertainment industries.
