CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – The Product Of A Divine Message

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional | Friday, October 29, 2021 | The Product Of A Divine Message

Date: Friday, October 29, 2021

Read: Acts 8:5-17

MEMORISE:
But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. (Acts 8:12)

EXPOSITION
The church is awesomely blessed with different dynamic preachers, everywhere. Through these great preachers, we receive divine messages every now and then. A wise man once said, “The society of each season and period and season.” Despite that we have preachers and there are new messages every moments, are these messages truly from God Himself? What are the motives behind the messages? Are they blessings or curse to the Church?

At the verge of the first Churches expansion, persecution scattered the brethren as God’s weapon for the rapid spread of the good news. The scattered brethren preached from house to house. Wherever they found themselves because a preaching point. An example is Deacon Philip. In his exploit, we will examine what kind of product a message should give to the body of Christ.

Divine messages produce total deliverance. Jesus encountered and drove out many demons in the course of His earthly ministry. Satan controls demons who fell from Heaven alongside him, and are troubling the world. They keep humans in the bondage of sin and sorrow. These notwithstanding a divine message produces total freedom. Philip discharge the mind of God to the people of Samaria, and they, after hearing the Good News, accepted Christ and experienced deliverance.

As we anticipate deliverance from all forms of bondage, there is the need for pulpit deliverance and restoration of divine message with which great deliverance would take place through the power of the Word. Only when we cooperate with the Lord to add to the church daily those who are being saved (Acts 2v47b). Can we have genuine growth in our church where believers were increasingly added to the Lord (5v14), after which they are added to the Church. Only then can we have quality Christians and Christianity.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. O Lord, restore Your message of truth in our churches and homes.
2. Father, help our church leaders to wait on You in order to receive divine message that would take care of both the real and felt needs of everyone.
3. Lord, let there be the revival of the church growth through real conversion experience.

TREM Devotional – Rest In What He Has Finished

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 29 October 2021 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Rest In What He Has Finished

TOPIC: Rest In What He Has Finished

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.” Psalms 37:7 KJV

The Lamb was slain since the foundation of the world, even before you were born. The Lamb is not about to be slain; He has been slain. This means that your issue had been taken care of before you arrived on the scene. So why are you bothered? You contributed nothing towards your arrival. God is the one that planned your arrival. He predestined your birth through your parents. Your existence had been finished before the foundation of the world. You had nothing to do with it. So, rest!

Doctors usually say that most of the ailments that afflict people are related to lack of rest. You may ask, “Brother Mike, what is going to happen tomorrow? How am I going to pay school fees? Am I going to get married? Am I going to finish that building project?” I have one word for you: Rest! If He caused you to be born, then He has a plan for your life. The devil is too late in the day to put condemnation on you. He is too late. You have been accepted in the beloved. God called you His beloved.

“Brother Mike, what am I going to do so that my church will be filled?” Rest! That is all you need to do. “What should I do so that I can have a child of my own?” Rest! Why? Because I heard him say that the barren shall keep house and be a joyful mother of children (Psalm 113:9).

Rest in what He has finished. You know what the Bible says: “If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me” (John 12:32). So, just rest and celebrate Him. Always remember that His Word concerning your life is settled. Believe it. It shall come to pass. You are blessed with the blessings of the earth and with the blessings of the deep.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Walking In Glory Through The Spirit

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 29 October 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche — Walking In Glory Through The Spirit

TOPIC: Walking In Glory Through The Spirit

The engagement of the Spirit of God equals the explosion of the glory of God.

SCRIPTURE: If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 1 Peter 4:14

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The engagement of the Spirit of God equals the explosion of the glory of God.

From our anchor Scripture, it has been established that the Spirit of God is the Spirit of glory. This means, where the Spirit of God is found, the Glory of God can also be found. In other words, the climate of the Spirit of God is also the climate of the Glory of God. The move of the Spirit of God is also the move of the Glory of God. So, the Spirit of God is the Spirit of glory.

The Scripture also makes it clear that transformation from one level of glory to another happens by the agency of the Spirit of God. That is to say, the Spirit of God facilitates transformation from one level of glory to another (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Now, if the Spirit of God is the Spirit of glory, and transformation from one level of glory to another happens by the agency of the Spirit of God, then the engagement of the Spirit of God equals the explosion of the glory of God. When we engage with the Spirit of God adequately, we must explode in the glory of God. If the Spirit of God is visible or sufficient in our lives, then we can explode in glory.

Men of the Spirit are men of the glory; women of the spirit are women of the glory; people who know how to walk and move in the Spirit of God also know how to explode in the glory of God.

Remember this: The engagement of the Spirit of God equals the explosion of the glory of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to walk in the Spirit always so you can experience the Glory of God.
  2. Resist the temptation to walk in the flesh.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You set my spirit on fire. I receive the grace to maintain fervency of the spirit, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE SPIRIT AND THE GLORY.

QUOTE: The overflow is given to facilitate the spread of God’s glory around the earth. God wants His glory to saturate the earth. And it takes the gold of God to push the glory of God. It is the gold of God that provides the vehicle for the glory of God to travel. Culled from “21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: John 1-3

REFLECTION: Smith Wigglesworth once said, “It is luxury to pray in the Holy Ghost”. I’m sure part of the luxury is the privilege of swimming in glory.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Proceed in the overflow of the Spirit so you can proceed into explosion of the glory in this season in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Retribution For Impenitence

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 29 October 2021 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Retribution For Impenitence

TOPIC: Retribution For Impenitence

TEXT: Jeremiah 13:1-14

1 Thus saith the Lord unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.

2 So I got a girdle according to the word of the Lord, and put it on my loins.

3 And the word of the Lord came unto me the second time, saying,

4 Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.

5 So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.

6 And it came to pass after many days, that the Lord said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.

7 Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.

8 Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

9 Thus saith the Lord, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

11 For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the Lord; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.

12 Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word; Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?

13 Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the Lord: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.

KEY VERSE: “This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.” – (Jeremiah 13:10)

MESSAGE:

One of the most effective tools in teaching is the use of aids. This involves the use of visual, audio, audio-visual or life samples that learners can easily relate with and that can help drive the lesson home to the learners and help them understand and retain the knowledge and experience gained for a long time.

In the text, Jeremiah was commanded to take a linen girdle to River Euphrates and hide it there. When later he was instructed to go and retrieve it, the girdle had become marred and “good for nothing”. He was then commanded to go and prophesy to the people that just as the girdle had become good for nothing and useless, so shall they be when God would bring His judgment upon them for their idol worship and disobedience.

The unfortunate story of Israel’s continual backslidings, which started in the wilderness had made them unable to fulfil God’s destiny for them. In our study and in many other instances, one would see God’s displeasure at their conduct and obstinacy. It is for the benefit of man that he fears God and keeps His commandments. Every member of Christ’s Church ought to, by benefit of hindsight, learn from Israel’s mistakes and avoid all those pitfalls that crippled their walk with God.

The expectancy of an endless joy in Christ’s everlasting kingdom must keep the believer alive and vigilant against anything that may soil his garment of righteousness. Only then will he be counted worthy to walk with Christ in white (Revelation 3:4).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Judgment inevitably comes when the sinner fails to repent.

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – Distraction, An Enemy Of Distinction

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional | Thursday, October 28, 2021 | Distraction, An Enemy Of Distinction

Topic:  Distraction, An Enemy Of Distinction

Date: Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Read: 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.

Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air.

But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

MEMORISE:

But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. (1 Cor.9:27)

EXPOSITION

There is a popular Yoruba saying that translates, “He who is being watched does not look about!” This means that one needs total concentration when it really matters.  In the field event of 100m, six athletes usually file on the marks. Each athlete, apart from having speed, skill and energy to compete, also needs total concentration to win. We always have the spectators either hailing, or throwing jibes and boos at relationship. Should the one leading the race allow fans he/she risks losing concentration to finishing on high! Even if the one coming last continues to receive boos, he can still bring out something of the competition, provided he does not listen to these distractive elements!

You are on a mission for God. Satanic agents are all over every place, and on assignment-causing distractions through side attractions. Gehazi, a protege concentrate fully. Naaman’s gifts and jettisoned the prospect of a powerful prophetic ministry. He was disastrously distracted (2 Kgs.5v20ff)!

Beloved, steadfasty look unto Jesus, the Author, Sustainer and Finisher of our faith (Heb.12:2). Just too many things are capable of distracting you from focusing on the race-successes, trials, temporary failure, etc. Distraction disturbs and disrupts distinction. Crowns are waiting up there for the disrupts saints who refused to be distracted. The devil can bring afflictions and sufferings to be distract you. Do not be moved. Remain focused and unshakable. Award of excellence and crowning await you in heaven, if you keep on keeping one. Learn from Paul (2 Tim.1:12).

PRAYER POINTS:

1. I refuse to be distracted in the Christian race, in Jesus name.

2. I understand that the devil works round the clock to make me lose focus so he can get hold of me. Lord Jesus, help me out, I must not be his victim.

3. Pray for student on campuses to be delivered from agents of distraction from their academic and spiritual purposes on being on the campus.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Profitability Of Faith

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 28 October 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche — The Profitability Of Faith

TOPIC: The Profitability Of Faith

Faith attracts substantial evidence of the reality of God into the life of a believer.

SCRIPTURE: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faith attracts substantial evidence of the reality of God into the life of a believer.

Faith has been confirmed to be a major doorway to spiritual rewards and profits. That is why it is important to know that we don’t believe God in vain; we do not seek God in vain.

Isaiah 45:19 confirms this:

I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

This means, every effort made in seeking God is not in vain. It is not a waste of time to believe in God. It is not an effort in futility to put your faith in God.

So, as a dedicated Christian, when people tell you that you are wasting your time believing in God and going to church, tell them that there are rewards for serving God and putting your trust in Him (Isaiah 45:19).

Now, I would like you to take note of the following key thoughts regarding faith:

  1. Faith attracts substantial evidence of the reality of God into the life of a believer

Hebrews 1:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

This means, faith is a substance. Faith is a form of evidence. Faith attracts substantial evidence of the reality of God into the life of a believer. When a person who thinks that God does not exist sees the manifestation of God’s faithfulness in the life of another person, he would be convinced to embrace the reality of God because of the evident substance of faith.

Remember this: Faith attracts substantial evidence of the reality of God into the life of a believer.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to develop your faith in God.
  2. Put God’s Word into practice to see the profits of faith.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask for a fresh baptism of the Spirit of faith on my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE PROFITABILITY OF FAITH.

QUOTE: Guilt is a killer of faith. When you are haunted by guilt, there are times you will want to make certain decrees and the devil will say, “Shut up! Remember what you did last time! Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Luke 22-24

REFLECTION: It pays to serve the Lord and it costs to serve the devil. Both the pay of serving God and the cost of serving the devil span through time into eternity.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Your world shall begin to see the profit of serving God in your life in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Uplifting The Discouraged

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 28 October 2021 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Uplifting The Discouraged

TOPIC: Uplifting The Discouraged

TEXT: 1 Kings 19:1-10

1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.

3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.

4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.

6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.

7 And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?

10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

KEY VERSE: “And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.” – (1 Kings 19:7)

MESSAGE:

A brother had just prepared to go for a vigil. Suddenly he felt a strong urge to visit a Christian couple. “By this time?” he asked aloud. But the impression was so strong and persistent. “But why will the Lord want me to visit this people by this time?” He asked again looking at his wristwatch. He knew they were leaders in the church, still he went. He kept on imagining what the problem might be. On getting there, he met them completely downcast and discouraged. They were complaining of everything they were going through. He then prayerfully led them through some relevant Scripture passages and promises of God. Before he left 30 minutes later, the couple had gotten themselves together and were back on their feet.

From the text, Prophet Elijah had just done a series of great and astounding miracles in Israel. He had prayed back the rain that had ceased for 3½ years. He had called down fire from heaven to consume the sacrifice at Mount Carmel to prove that Jehovah is the only true God and the people had fallen down in worship. He also had authorised the execution of 450 prophets of Baal. The wicked queen, Jezebel heard about it all and threatened to kill him. He then ran for his life into the wilderness of Judah where God sent an angel to feed and strengthen him in his discouragement.

Discouragement comes to all men; to the rich and to the poor, to the high and low. Moses, Joshua, Job, David, Jeremiah, etc., were all discouraged at one time or the other. When discouragement comes, we should look to God who is able to save us. We must never give in to despondency, regret or self-pity. A songwriter wrote, “It is always darkest before the dawn, don’t be discouraged but carry on…”

As believers, let us learn to lift up our brethren when they are discouraged and not to judge or condemn them like the friends of Job.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
During discouragement, look to God alone who can lift you up.

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – They Needed To Make That Mistake

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional | Wednesday, October 27, 2021 | They Needed To Make That Mistake

Topic:  They Needed To Make That Mistake

Date: Wednesday, October 27, 2021 [World Day for Audio-visual Heritage]

Read: Matthew 2:1-12

Matthew 2:1-12 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem,

Saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him;

and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.

They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:

“‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”

Then Herod summoned the wise men secretly and ascertained from them what time the star had appeared.

And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship him.”

After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was.

When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.

And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.

MEMORISE:

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, (Matthew 2:1).

EXPOSITION

The wise men (Magi) that came in search of the baby Jesus were from the East (not Jews). Obviously, they were astrologers (strgazers), hence their abilities to follow the leading of the star that took them to Jesus. Unarguably, there was not much of media like we have them today, no radio, TV, internet, etc., even as today commorates World Day for Audio-visual Heritage. How would the news about the arrival of the Messiah on the planet earth spread fast without these advanced methods? God chose to first announce it from heaven, to and through a team of shepherds keeping watch over their flock by night (Lk.2:8b). Then He visited the gentle world starting with the Magi.

The star had been leading them from the East, but seemed to have stopped as they came to Jerusalme (Matt.2:1), only to reappear as they departed from the wicked kings presence (v.9). Ordinarily, one would have thought that losing sight of the star made them to miss road as they were forced to visit the palace. But, No, God allowed it.

Their presence in the palace actually caused the king  and his people to go into research as to the Scriptural revelation about the coming Messiah. In a way, God was using the supposed mistake of the wise men to announce the arrival of His Son, Jesus. Subsequent events show the awareness of Jesus arrival that was created by the presence of those wise men in the palace.

We need the eyes of God to see aright, most especially when we ourselves, or others around us make supposed mistakes. There are sometimes these mistakes might be God actual way of fulfilling His purpose for, in and through us. Many people might be blaming Joseph for divulging his dreams to his siblings and parents. Yet, God saw that mistake as an avenue to launch Joseph into the actualization of his destiny. You need the wisdom of God not to react abruptly to what people see as mistakes when God is seeing it as means to manifest His miracle (cf.Isa.8:12).

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Holy Spirit, give me the right perspective for every situation around me, including supposed mistakes by myself and others.

2. Lord Jesus, I confess my silly mistakes of the past. Please, let Your mighty power, mercy and favour turn such mistakes to miracles.

3. Lord, deliever our parents from errors that can bring permanent damages on their children, in Jesus name.

TREM Devotional – Grace Empowers And Changes Lives

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 27 October 2021 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Grace Empowers And Changes Lives

TOPIC: Grace Empowers And Changes Lives

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.” (Titus 2:11-12 KJV)

When grace comes, there are things that must change; things will not remain the same. Zacchaeus encountered grace without anyone judging or condemning him. He said in Luke 19:8: “if I have stolen or taken anything from any man by falsehood, I will return it to them because salvation has come to my house. I can’t live the same way I used to live.” He was empowered to live for God. When grace comes, it changes your life.

Peter denied the Lord three times but Grace overruled on his behalf. In Mark 16:7, when the Lord rose from the dead, He specifically instructed the people to go and tell the disciples and also to look for Peter, just to let him know that God’s plans for him had not yet been aborted. Peter was eventually restored and in Acts 2, Peter preached and 3000 souls were saved.

In 1 Corinthians 15:10, Paul states: “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me” (KJV). Grace empowered Power. Grace enabled him to labor more than the rest of them all. So, when grace comes, things will not remain the same.

When the prodigal son received grace, he stayed back home; he never went away again because he understood the difference between a banqueting table and a garbage can. So, grace is not a license to continue in sin. Deal with sin before it deals with you. Sin humiliates and grinds people to a halt. Sin will make your pocket to have holes. Sin will bring you sickness and disease but Grace empowers you to live for God. Grace changes lives. An understanding of grace makes you appreciate and embrace the love of God and reject sin.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Glorious Home

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 27 October 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche — The Glorious Home

TOPIC: The Glorious Home

Dwelling in perpetual realm of love, peace and excitement with your spouse and children is realistic.

SCRIPTURE: Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: Proverbs 24:3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Dwelling in perpetual realm of love, peace and excitement with your spouse and children is realistic.

The Will of God for His Children is for them to have a glorious home, a home that should showcase the Glory of God.

Now, what is a glorious home?

It is a home that is filled with God’s Presence and Glory. It is a home characterized by love, harmony, unity, happiness, understanding, peace and tranquillity. It is a home devoid of undue pressure and tension.

Now, it is important to know that a glorious home is both possible and attainable. Having a pressure and tension-free marriage or home is achievable. Dwelling in perpetual realm of love, peace and excitement with your spouse and children is realistic.

Sometime ago, I travelled with my wife and one of our children to Ghana. As we sat and got talking, I said something and we all started laughing as if we were the only ones in that place. In fact, we completely forgot where we were. The excitement was so much that our host and his friends opted to take pictures of us. Both he and other people present took photographs of us.

Then he said, “You people appear to me like the happiest people on earth”. The truth is, we were not trying to act or impress anybody. We were only talking and laughing as we normally do. There was no intention of seeking for attention at all.

That is how the Christian life, marriage or home should be. Make the atmosphere free of pressure for your family as much as you can. Marriage should be free of stress, tension and pressure. Marriage is meant to be perpetually exciting.

Remember this: Dwelling in perpetual realm of love, peace and excitement with your spouse and children is realistic.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Ask God for the help to make your home a glorious one.
  2. Make up your mind to accept the responsibility for a glorious home.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for Your Help to make my home a glorious one. Let my home be a model home worthy of emulation, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE GLORY OF THE HOME.

QUOTE: To live a life of praise and worship means living a life that glorifies God. That is, your life brings glory to God. When people see you, they praise God. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Luke 19-21

REFLECTION: Quality relationship with God translates into quality relationship with the people of your life. Peace with God and crises are home mutually exclusive. You can’t claim to have things in order with God and out of order with your wife/children. Something is wrong.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The Blessing of an exciting home be yours in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities

DCLM Daily Manna – Judgment In God’s House

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 27 October 2021 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Judgment In God’s House

TOPIC: Judgment In God’s House

TEXT: 1 Peter 4:17-19

KEY VERSE: “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” – (1 Peter 4:17)

MESSAGE:

The story was told of a certain Christian man living in adultery with a married woman. God revealed the matter to his pastor who called him and asked him about it. He looked at the pastor eyeball to eyeball and asked him; “Is it that you do not trust me?” He denied flatly. Again, God told the pastor, “This man is living in adultery.” The pastor called him the second time and asked him, he still denied. This happened three times. One day he went as usual to the woman’s house where they used to commit the sin, (because the woman’s husband used to travel for business). But unknown to them this time, the man did not travel having gotten the hint of what was happening in his absence. He waited in town until he was sure they were together and then came and knocked at the front door. The wife, unsuspecting that it was her husband came and opened the door. The man entered, went straight to the bedroom and with his loaded revolver shot the man twice on the head to end his life.

The teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and other Scriptures warn continuously of the possibilities of being lost even after one had been saved. Peter, in our text, reminds us of the coming judgment of God which would start at the house of God. “And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?”

Many people today are out of the race because they do not know how to handle some stubborn sins to which they have strong attachment. Unfortunately, the situation in the church today, with all the strife, envy, tribalism, worldliness, prayerlessness, etc. cannot be said to be an ideal one.

Believers must take the warnings of Scripture very seriously. Only those who “endure to the end” will make it. The heaven-bound believer must remain focused, undistracted and sober to finish well.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God has zero tolerance for sin.
