Sound of The King - Abbey Ojomu

Nigerian gospel music singer, worship leader, songwriter, and Qavah prayer meeting convener, Abbey Ojomu drops a brand new single titled, “Sound Of The King.”

Speaking on the song, Abbey says; “Sound represents a lot of things: in the birthing of a child you hear their cry, at death, the one who dies stops making a sound and you begin to hear the cry of mourning; to precede a war you hear the sound of the trumpet (Jeremiah 50:22) You hear the sound of chariots DESTRUCTION Ezekiel 10:5).”

“In the beginning of creation, the Lord spoke and things came to be, by the sound of the words of the Lord. When you hear the coming of the King, the sound goes forth before Him.

This is a war cry! It is a sound that beckons on the King of Glory! A cry that brings about the presence of the omniscient King, the Lion of the tribe of Judah” – she continues

“Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Even so. Amen!

The Lion of the tribe of Judah has prevailed! He’s the King of kings and the Lord of lords!”Abbey Ojomu concludes.

The psalmist is the Convener of a monthly prayer meeting tagged, “Qavah.” It is a prayer meeting where weak men gather under the atmosphere of Jesus until they are endued with strength (the waiting room).

Abbey has a couple of songs to her credit such as; “We Behold,” “Holy Ghost,” and “We Share The Same Lover,” just to mention a few.

TREM Devotional – God Is Thinking About You

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 30 September 2023 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God Is Thinking About You

TOPIC: God Is Thinking About You (TREM Devotional 30 September 2023)

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” Psalm 8:4 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Human nature is such that when somebody has been in a situation for so long, it is easy to believe that there is really nothing that can be done about the condition. That is man’s belief and he doesn’t expect anything. But God doesn’t think that way. In God’s economy, your needs are already met because God operates in the eternal now. God doesn’t have tomorrow or yesterday to answer prayers. Whatever the challenge, situation, or circumstance that you are facing is already settled.

Since we live in a time and this earth has been designed to function within a time frame and because of timing, it is so easy to believe that nothing can happen in your condition. As far as God is concerned, He does not forget. From our today’s text, I am convinced that God is thinking about you. Psalm 40:17; says: “But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God”. I encourage you to know that much more than you even desire, God wants your tears wiped out. He is thinking of you. His mind is full of you. David said: “I have been young, and now am old; Yet, have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” (Psalm 37:25 KJV)

Psalm 106:4 says, “Remember me, O Lord, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation”. The word “remember” is talking about someone who thinks about another. It talks about, thinking about the well-being of another. It speaks about being mindful of one another. It means to recall to memory, to keep in mind, or to bear someone in mind as deserving a gift.

God has not forgotten you. You may have even forgotten yourself and think you are just one in the number, but I want to let you know that God has not forgotten you. He will show up and do great things in your life.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Living To Help Others

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 30 September 2023 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Living To Help Others

TOPIC: Living To Help Others (Seeds Of Destiny 30 September 2023)

SCRIPTURE: For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: Acts 13:36

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One way to make the most of life is to eliminate the frustrations and confrontations of others.

MESSAGE:

Life becomes more exciting and fulfilling when one is able to positively impact the lives of others. A major way to make the most of life is to eliminate the frustrations and confrontations of others.

You make the most of life if you live to fight the battles of others. The battles may not be yours, but you take it upon yourself to fight for the sake of others.

One day, a woman came to see me and said, “My son is in second year in the university studying Medicine, but his father cannot sponsor him because he is an irresponsible man, a drunkard. Now, my son is about to drop out of school.”

I studied medicine and I know what it takes to gain admission to study Medicine. The question I asked was: “Is it necessary for this one who has already gained the admission to drop out?” No way!

I told the woman that we would take care of her son’s school fees till his graduation.

We started paying his school fees from the second year until he graduated and became a doctor.

Thereafter, the young doctor came to see me and said, “Sir, I came just to thank you for helping me to fulfil my vision of becoming a medical doctor. Thank you for not allowing my dream to be aborted.”

I then looked at him and said, “Don’t thank me. All I want from you is, go and pick someone in a similar situation and lift him up, and tell that person to do same to another person, and let the chain continue.”

Beloved, this is how to live. I release upon you today, the grace to go and do likewise in Jesus’ name.

REMEMBER THIS: One way to make the most of life is to eliminate the frustrations and confrontations of others.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to fight the battles of others.
  2. Lend a helping hand to those in need. Lift them up and God shall lift you up also.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to be concerned about the welfare of others. Help me to help others, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: O how seriously we would take the matter of souls – the vast multitude of human beings on their way to a hopeless eternity, if we are sure, that as we stand in Ministry, God watches. As the thought occurred to me, it became a little frightening. Culled from the book, “MAKING FULL PROOF OF MINISTRY” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Haggai 2-Zechariah 2.

AMAZING FACT: The tallest building in the world is the Burg Khalifa in Dubai, standing at over 2,700 feet.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: May your life continue to go up as you lift others up in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Authority Of Jesus

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 30 September 2023 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Authority Of Jesus

TOPIC: Authority Of Jesus (DCLM Daily Manna 30 September 2023)

KEY VERSE: “And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?” (Mark 11:28).

TEXT: Mark 11:27-33 (KJV)

27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,

28 And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?

29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.

31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?

32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.

33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

MESSAGE:

Oscar Wilde, the famous author, was once quoted as saying, “Wherever there is a man who exercises authority, there is a man who resists authority”. His observation proved true in our passage for reading today. The religious leaders found Jesus exercising authority in Jerusalem, and did not like it.

Contrary to the expectation of the chief priests and the Pharisees, Jesus had become a popular leader in Jewry. The miracles He performed were legendary and His sermons and teachings were unparalleled. He had simplified His messages through the use of parables, so that the people “were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak” (Mark 7:37). He had earlier cleansed the temple and pronounced a curse on the fig tree. He did not belong to any previous school of thought; no known Rabbi associated with Him; yet, He was doing wonders by the day.

By asking for the authority of Jesus, the chief priests and others were actually looking for an opportunity to trap Him. He did not fall into their temptation. Instead, He asked them questions they could not answer. When they failed to answer His question concerning the authority of John, He refused to tell them the source of His own authority too.

Many ignorant individuals are still querying the authority of Jesus today. At a time when fear or worries made John the Baptist to waver on his earlier confession of Jesus, the Lord sent a simple message back to him to affirm His authority in Luke 7:22. That is the authority of Jesus; and what He did for others, He will do for you too, if you ask for His help.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The Lordship of Jesus over all is not in dispute — it is settled.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Dealing With The Spirit Of Fear

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 29 September 2023 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Dealing With The Spirit Of Fear

TOPIC: Dealing With The Spirit Of Fear (Seeds Of Destiny 29 September 2023)

SCRIPTURE: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One way to deal with the spirit of fear is to guard your heart consciously and continuously against negative news reports or stories.

MESSAGE:

It has been confirmed that fear is one deadly enemy of life and destiny. The devil has crippled many lives through the spirit of fear. This is because fear hinders a person from taking giant steps in life.

Our anchor Scripture reveals that God has not given us the spirit of fear. This means, we must deal with every form of fear in our lives.

Now, one way to deal with the spirit of fear is to guard your heart consciously and continuously against negative news reports or stories.

Although there are stories that flow into your ears that you may not be able to avoid, consciously make up your mind not to look for negative stories or reports. Do not dwell on the negative.

Sometime ago, I went to one city in the South-Western part of Nigeria for a programme. The protocol officer who was assigned to pick me from the airport had no other story to tell me other than how terrible armed robbers in the town were. That was the only story he could tell a stranger who just arrived in the town for the first time.

He said, “Sir, in this city, armed robbers operate terribly. The way they operate breaks the heart. Their operation is as if they are not human beings. They are so terrible.”

I was just listening to this man. And then, he went and dropped me in the hotel that had no light and left.

The truth is, no matter how great your faith is, as a man of God, there are things you must not allow yourself to hear. Maybe, I would have shut him up on the spot.

When this protocol officer left me in the hotel, I had to use my faith to deal with witches, wizards, armed robbers and wicked people throughout the night.

My counsel is: guard your heart against negative news or reports so you can establish and protect your faith.

REMEMBER THIS: One way to deal with the spirit of fear is to guard your heart consciously and continuously against negative news reports or stories.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to give attention to or look for negative news reports or stories.
  2. Always renew your mind and believe only the report of God for your life.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to meditate on and believe in Your Word as the only authentic report of life. Deliver me from giving my ears to negative news, reports or stories, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: EMOTIONAL DISEASES.

QUOTE: Now, God is saying, it does not matter the terror around you, fear not, because you are more valuable than one bird that is not permitted to perish without His permission. Culled from the book, “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Zephaniah 2-Haggai 1.

AMAZING FACT: Only two people have ever swam the entire length of the 2,350-mile Mississippi River: Slovenian long-distance swimmer Martin Strel in 2002 and former American Navy SEAL Chris Ring in 2015. Strel swam for 68 days in a row; Ring took one day off a week, taking 181 days.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: I curse every root and spirit of fear in your life in this season in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. DCLM Daily Manna – Repaint The Wall

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 29 September 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Repaint The Wall

TOPIC: Repaint The Wall (DCLM Daily Manna 29 September 2023)

KEY VERSE: “And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land” (Joshua 8:1).

TEXT: Joshua 8:1-10 (KJV)

1 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land:

2 And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.

3 So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against Ai: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sent them away by night.

4 And he commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in wait against the city, even behind the city: go not very far from the city, but be ye all ready:

5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them,

6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will flee before them.

7 Then ye shall rise up from the ambush, and seize upon the city: for the Lord your God will deliver it into your hand.

8 And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on fire: according to the commandment of the Lord shall ye do. See, I have commanded you.

9 Joshua therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and abode between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua lodged that night among the people.

10 And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and numbered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to Ai.

MESSAGE:

J. Stuart Holden told the story of an old Scottish mansion close to where he had his little summer home. A pitcher of soda water was accidentally spilled on a freshly decorated wall and left an unsightly stain. Lord Landseer, an artist of great repute was a guest in the house at the time. One day, when the family went out sightseeing, he stayed behind. With a few masterful strokes of a piece of charcoal, that ugly spot became the outline of a beautiful waterfall, bordered by trees and wildlife. He turned that disfigured wall into one of his most successful depictions of highland life.

Like the disfigured wall, the nation of Israel suffered a humiliating defeat from the men of Ai. Joshua prayed and dealt with the source of their failure. The result was that God told Joshua to rise and go back to Ai. He then gave Joshua assurance of victory and the strategy to use in attacking the city. In obedience to the divine instructions, Joshua mobilised his troops, implemented the given strategy and successfully captured the city. The starting point of every victory is to rise up and move.

Joshua had many options he could have taken after Israel was defeated by the men of Ai. Even after repentance and prayers, he could have doubted if God would ever give him victory again. However, he chose to believe and obey. He chose to correct his mistakes and returned to Ai with lessons learnt and renewed vision. That is a credit to his character. God honoured His word and helped Joshua to reclaim victory where he had previously fallen.

A child of God who failed in the battlefield of life must not be ashamed to do what Joshua did. Go back and correct the mistakes that caused your failure. Whatever the missteps, God is willing to give you a chance to make up for it, and correct your ways.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Return and repaint the ugly walls!

All glory to your name.
“Holy, holy,
Is our God almighty”,
The angels sing.

Everything I give to you.

With my heart I lavish you.
My worship and my praise.
It’s yours, it’s yours.

Vamp: (7x)
You take the glory.

Chorus:
Jesus, you take the glory,
You take the honour,
You take the praise.
Jesus, you take the glory,
You take the honour,
You take the praise.
