MMM Is Satanic And If You’re Involved, You’re Demonic! – Apostle Johnson Suleman

jne5hts22b_1photoThe General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman, has told his congregation members to disassociate themselves from anything that has to do with Mavrodi Mondial Movement investment scheme, popularly called MMM.

Suleman said MMM is Satanic and that those involved in it are demonic. Speaking during a church service, the clergyman said: “Go and check the founder of MMM. He was a fraudster in America; defrauded people, and that’s what you’re involving yourself in and you are a Christian, looking for easy way out.

Many Christians have gotten involved. If you are involved in MMM, I have to pray for you today. It’s not of God. Any quick fix way for money is not of God because some people are being defrauded to enrich some other people.”

“Any quick-rich scheme is wrong. In life, everything you get if is not favour from a particular individual. If it’s quick favour through a process, you will pay for it later. If it’s a person you know that walked up to you and blesses you, take it. That’s favour. But a quick business transaction that can bring a return of over 200 person, is not of God.”

My Feelings ~ Joyce Meyer

Topic: My Feelings [December 5, 2016]

Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. — Romans 10:9-10

“But I can’t help the way I feel,” Angie moaned.

Most of us hear this statement often. It means that the way the person feels is settled, and they believe they have to go with those feelings. It’s like an unchallenged fact of life.

We have feelings, and sometimes they are strong, but we get confused. We allow our feelings to determine our decisions and, ultimately, our destiny. With that type of mindset, it means that if we feel discouraged, we are discouraged; if we feel victorious, we are victorious. It means that if we feel depressed, we must be depressed.

Someone once said, “My feelings are emotions; they are not reality.” In other words, just because we feel a certain way doesn’t make that feeling a fact. It only means that we feel that way. We must learn to press past our feelings.

Perhaps an example will help. Janet sells real estate, and when she makes a sale, she feels wonderful and successful. Last month she sold five upscale homes and made an excellent commission. This month she has sold only one, and she feels as if she’s a failure. Is Janet a failure? No. It’s just that on dark days, she feels that way; but that doesn’t mean it’s true.

Today I may not feel God at work in my life. But is that true, or is that the way I feel? I know many people who don’t feel loved by God—that’s how they feel, but it isn’t the truth.

The devil gains a stronghold in this area. If he can convince us that our feelings are reality, he has made great progress, and we are easily defeated.

Years ago, I spoke in a church, and many people came up to me to tell me how my message had encouraged them. I beamed because I was still new in the ministry, and I really needed lots of compliments in order to feel successful. One man said, “I didn’t agree with anything you said. You need to get your theology straight.” And he walked away.

Immediately discouragement overwhelmed me. I had tried hard to be God’s instrument to the people, and I had failed. As I left the church, I thought about what had happened. At least fifty people had told me how my words blessed them. One man came to me with a negative message. How did I react? I believed the negative. I allowed his words to shift my thinking, and I convinced myself I had failed.

I hadn’t failed. I had listened to the wrong voice and allowed it to control my feelings. I determined that never again would I allow one negative voice to discourage me and make me feel that I had failed. Perhaps I had failed to help that man—and I couldn’t do anything about it—but my teaching had touched many others. One woman had tears in her eyes when she told me that I had given her exactly the right word she needed to hear.

I did something else that night. I reminded myself that what I experienced had been a negative feeling, but it had not been reality. I began to quote Bible verses, reminding myself that Satan attacks us where we’re weak and vulnerable. I was new to public speaking, and the man with the negative word knew that.

I thought of Romans 10:9-10. We often quote these two verses when we speak to people about their salvation; however, the principle is there no matter what the subject. Paul says that we need to believe in our heart and confess with our lips. I stopped and said aloud, “God, I believe I am in Your service. I believe I did my best for You. I believe You used my words to bless many people. I do not have to listen to that one negative voice.”

Within minutes, I felt better. (See how quickly our feelings can change?) Reality hadn’t changed, but I had. I refused to allow negative, wrong thinking to turn me from reality.

Loving and caring God, forgive me for thinking wrong thoughts and for allowing wrong feelings to determine my attitude. I ask You, in the name of Jesus, to help me believe Your Word and to entertain positive thoughts. Amen.

Don’t Bury Your Talent ~ Pastor E.A Adeboye

open-heaven-2016

Topic: Don’t Bury Your Talent [Monday 5, December 2016]

Memorise: But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6

Read: Matthew 25:24-29 (KJV)

24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

Bible in One Year: Exodus 20:1-22:15, Psalms 117

MESSAGE:

God ordained seedtime and harvest not just to mark time, but as a life principle. He also gave varying degrees of talents to every human being as a form of heavenly investment. Consequently, every legitimate human task, however menial it may seem, is of intrinsic worth and a potential means of glorifying God.

God expects us to use our God given talents and abilities profitably. I once told my children that if they understand the natural farming process with the scriptural principles on sowing and reaping, entering into their harvest will be a work-over, because they will know what to sow, how to sow it and how to water the seed sown in order to have their desired harvest. In essence, they will know how to profitably use their talents for the progress of God’s kingdom. When the Holy Ghost Service congregation grew beyond what I could handle all by myself, I chose seven elders to assist me. I gave each of them a neck tie I had used during previous ministrations, and asked them to wear them as mantle from me. Each time they wore them while ministering, there were records of miracles, signs and wonders. But then, I also observed that I began to harvest neckties from close associates and friends who travelled to South Africa, London or America. I became curious about the fact that whenever anyone brought me a gift, it was a neck tie. So I asked God why. The Lord said; “Son, if you sow ties, you will reap ties.” Then I realised that I was receiving the harvest of the ties I gave out. So I began to sow shoes to pastors who shared the same shoe size with me. After giving out several of them, some of which were my best, I waited the first and second months but no shoe gift came from anywhere. Worried over the delay, I asked God why the harvest was yet to come and He taught me another lesson. He said; “Son, if you plant maize, you can harvest it within three months, but if you plant yam, you will have to wait a little longer.

Shoe are more valuable than ties; the greater the quality of the seed you have sown, the longer you will have to wait for its harvest. Since you have planted shoes, you will have to wait a little longer, but the moment the harvest begins, it will not stop.”

When the harvest came, I got shoes of different sizes, colours and levels of sophistication. Have you sown a seed? Your harvest will come. If you have sown quality seeds, give it time to mature, if you are impatient with your seed, you cannot obtain its full potentials. On the other hand, sow quality seeds; sow only what you want to reap. It is wrong to expect a harvest from where you have not sown. Have you sown towards your desired harvest?

Prayer Point: Father, please help me sow towards my desired harvest.

Spiritual Seeds Of Abraham ~ Pastor William Kumuyi

kumuyi

Topic: Spiritual Seeds Of Abraham [December 5, 2016]

Text: Galatians 4:21-31

Key Verse: “Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now” (Galatians 4:28,29).

It boggles the mind, the extent people go in the drive for “freedom and emancipation”. Many easily shackle and felter themselves in the futile search for so-called religious emancipation and liberty. Many today cannot reconcile themselves with the Christian faith because of the simplicity of the gospel. They will rather seek for complicated and punishing rules, for in their erroneous mindsets, it takes a rigorous, man made path to get to God. Slaves they are to their carnal contrivance.

In these verses, the Apostle illustrates the difference between believers who rested in Christ only and those Jews who trusted in the Law, by a comparison taken from the story of Isaac and Ishmael. He introduces this in such a proper manner to strike an impression on the minds of his audience, and to convince them of their great weakness in departing from the truth and suffering themselves to be deprived of the liberty of the gospel. As Christians, having accepted Christ and relied on Him, we have become the spiritual seeds of Abraham, and so, are entitled to the promised inheritance. It must interest true children of God to earnestly possess this inheritance.

Christians should therefore, expect that “he that was born after the flesh (i.e. those who were so tenacious of their law) will persecute him that was born after the spirit (i.e. those who put their confidence on the finished work of Christ on the cross). Though the Jews should persecute and hate them, yet the issue of Judaism would sink and perish, but true Christianity will flourish and last forever. The kingdom of this world will eventually become of our Lord. The choice is yours today to either be a slave to the law or to become a blessed outcrop of God’s sovereign grace.

Thought for the day: In Christ only lies the fullness of enduring freedom.

What Riches Were Meant To Do ~ Kenneth Copeland

Topic: What Riches Were Meant To Do [December 5, 2016]

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. – Ephesians 4:28

It always amazes me when I preach about prosperity and someone comes up to me and says, “I don’t need much prosperity. I’m a simple person with a simple life. So I just ask God for enough to meet my needs.”

They think that’s humility, but it’s not. It’s selfishness! They don’t realize it, but they’re actually saying, “All I care about is meeting my own needs. I have no ambition to help meet anyone else’s.”

They could ask God for a million dollars, take out just enough to meet their needs, and give the rest away. But that doesn’t even occur to them because when it comes to money, they’ve been brainwashed by a world that says if you have it, you’ve got to keep it.

That philosophy has hindered the ministry of Jesus Christ on the earth today. It has caused preachers to set aside their calling and get secular jobs just to survive. It’s handicapped churches and stunted the growth of ministries that could have reached thousands more for the Lord.

It takes money to preach the gospel. Jesus Himself knew that, and contrary to what some people think, His ministry was not a poor one. He had so much money coming in and going out through His ministry that He had to appoint a treasurer. His name was Judas.

But Jesus didn’t store up that money for Himself. He gave it to meet the needs of those around Him. He had such a reputation for giving that on the night of that last Passover when Judas left so abruptly, the disciples assumed that Jesus had sent him out to give to the poor.

Can you imagine how much and how often Jesus must have given to the poor for the disciples to make that assumption?

Jesus never built a worldly empire for Himself. But that doesn’t mean He was poor. It means He was the greatest giver who ever walked the face of this earth, and it’s time we started following in His footsteps.

Don’t turn down the wealth God wants to give you just because you don’t “need” it. Dare to accept it, then pass it along to those who do. Stop working for a living and start working for a “giving.” Discover for yourself what riches were really meant to do.

Use Your Grace ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: Use Your Grace [Monday, December 5th]

“Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.”  (John 21:3 KJV)

God has given us influence in one spheres of association. In varying degrees whether you are in “leadership” or not you have a certain measure of influence. In your school, on the job, in your family, in your business circle and even your circle of friends, you have some form of influence.

What are you doing with your influence? How are you affecting the people within the confines of your sphere of association? Peter was to a very large extent was the leader of the pack. The minute he said “I go fishing, every other disciple said they were going also. Are your deeds and lifestyle affecting people positively for Christ? Or are you standing in the way of sinners preventing them from entering the kingdom of God because of yours lifestyle? Your zeal can stir up the majority.

FURTHER READING: 2 Corinthians 9:2-9, Psalm 1:1

PRAYER/CONFESSION: Father, give me the grace to influence the people around positively. Please forgive me in any way I have been negative influence to people. My zeal for your work will stir up people to love you more.

WORDS OF WISDOM: To lead, you must have influence over the people around you.

Seeing With Your Spirit ~ Pastor Chris Oyakilome

pastor-chris-oyakhilome

Topic: Seeing With Your Spirit [Monday, December 5th]

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9).

In Genesis 3, we read the account of Satan tempting Eve to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree. Eve, being deceived, ate the fruit and gave to Adam who also ate of it. When this happened, the Bible says, “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked” (Genesis 3:17); they had a new knowledge.

Hitherto, they didn’t know they were naked, because they had the capacity to see differently in another realm of life. They lost a type of sight (spiritual sight), and fell lower to another type of sight, which was governed by the senses. They thus became sense-ruled. They couldn’t see with their spirits anymore. They had new interpretations to life; interpretations based on sensory perceptions.

This is the case of the unregenerate man: the person who’s not born again; he lacks spiritual insight and foresight. He lacks spiritual understanding and is unable to relate with God in His realm of life. But when you’re born again, you’re awakened to the fatherhood of God; you’re awakened to the realities of God’s Kingdom; you’re brought into fellowship with God.

Ephesians 1:17-18 says, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened….” Here, the Spirit of God refers to spiritual understanding, which is beyond the use of the mind and the senses. The mind is a tool, but man has a greater capacity beyond his mind. The mind receives information from the spirit and the senses, but there’s an understanding that transcends the mind. That’s why the full, accurate, correct, and precise knowledge of God is a possibility for the one who’s born again—the one whose human spirit has been recreated.

It’s God’s desire that you see differently; that you see with your spirit. It’s the reason the Holy Spirit prays through the Apostle Paul that you be filled with the knowledge of the Father’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that you can “…walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10). This is possible; walk in the light of it. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for granting me insight into the mysteries and secrets of the Kingdom. I live above the sense realm. I’m fully aware of the realities of our glorious Kingdom, enjoying my inheritance in Christ. Hallelujah!

Further Study: || Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man [is] the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. ||

|| Ephesians 1:17-18 AMP That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, ||

RCCG 2016 Annual Holy Ghost Congress Welcome Message | Complete Restoration

We thank the Almighty God for sparing our lives to see another Holy Ghost Congress, another opportunity to celebrate Jesus – the Calmer of Storms and the Great Restorer.

I thank God for preserving your life and for making it possible for you to be part of this congress.
The Lord will reward your faith and your expectations shall not be cut short in Jesus’ name!

When God restores, what He gives back is always more than what is lost. When He speaks of Complete Restoration, it is far greater than what has been lost. And Hos word is Yeah and Amen! Your complete restoration is a settled matter. You are about to take back all that you have ever lost and more.
Congratulations!

But you have your own part to play. The Congress is a celebration of Jesus.

It is a celebration, and yet, a serious affair. It is not a time for idle chatter or aimless roaming around the auditorium. It is a time to worship the Lord intensely, pay attention to His word, seek His face and pray with thanksgiving and a genuinely repentant and expectant heart.
There will be time for personal petitions and intercessions for families, the body of Christ and the nations. Seize the opportunity of these six days of the congress to cry out unto the Lord. He assures us of speedy answers.

The morning, afternoon and evening sessions are specially designed for you. Check the daily events sections for the details. It is a complete restoration. Divinely inspired messages await you at all the sessions. You shall not miss your blessings as you give God full attention at this Congress in Jesus’ name.

It give me great joy to welcome you to this 19th edition of the Holy Ghost Congress.
