Scripture: Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16
Thought For The Day: You need a sense of urgency to fulfil destiny; anything worth doing at all is worth doing both well and urgently.
It has been confirmed that our God is a God of times and seasons; He works and brings His promises to pass according to the times of life (Genesis 21:1-2).
Now, if God works according to time, it means, maximizing one’s time is key to maximizing one’s life.
It is important to know that investment into time equals fulfilment of destiny. Your value for time determines your worth in life. To put it in another way, your value in life is determined by your value for time. The wastage of time is the wastage of life. What you do with your time determines what your future would do with you. There are many people who are lamenting today in their old age because they wasted their time when they were young.
Many people waste their time by sitting before the television to watch unedifying movies and TV shows, sleeping from night till morning, playing aimless computer games, hanging out with aimless friends, addicted to watching sports endlessly, etc. While the sportsman is receiving his money, you are wasting your life by being addicted to watching him. Until you do profitable things with your time, your future is of no profit.
My counsel is, spend your time in studying the Word of God; improve your mentality by reading; spend time with your family, spend time to upgrade yourself and spend time to win souls. Avoid procrastination. Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing both well and urgently. You need a sense of urgency to fulfil destiny.
Remember this: You need a sense of urgency to fulfil destiny; anything worth doing at all is worth doing both well and urgently.
Assignments:
1. Make up your mind not to engage in time-wasting activities.
2. Maximize your life by doing the right thing with your time.
Prayer: O Lord, I ask for forgiveness in any area I have wasted my time in the past. Help me to do the right thing with a sense of urgency, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
