Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 31 May 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Avoiding The Tragedy Of Borrowing
TOPIC: Avoiding The Tragedy Of Borrowing
Whatever you cannot afford now is not good enough for you now.
SCRIPTURE: The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whatever you cannot afford now is not good enough for you now.
In our earlier days in Ministry, we were wondering why some ministers at that time had flashy cars but we could not afford any. At that time, what we had was an old retired 504 Peugeot car.
We saw them drive flashy cars but we never knew that they either borrowed money to get them or bought the cars on hire purchase agreements. And usually on Sunday morning, the person who gave them the car would come to church and demand, “Where is the balance of my money”.
You see, today, some of those people have all faded away. Many of them are still alive but their voices have been drowned. I know one of them, who after 27 years of ministry, was looking for house rent. This is not how to live.
Papa Oyedepo said that life is in phases and men are in sizes. You should learn to accept your status per time. Whatever you cannot afford now is not good enough for now. There is a shirt you wear now and you wear out your destiny because you cannot afford it. There is a car you are driving now that is actually driving you out of your favour.
My counsel is, order your life. It is not every time you see food that you eat. Order your life. Avoid the life of begging and borrowing.
Remember this: Whatever you cannot afford now is not good enough for now.

QUOTE: Avoiding indebtedness is a secret of the overflow. Culled from “21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW” by Dr Paul Enenche.
DAILY READING: Psalm 67-69
REFLECTION: Patience is a virtue. Patience is not weakness. Patience grants access to God-ordained inheritance. It is not how far you try to run that counts but how far you end.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Grace to be patient with God and be totally free from the borrower’s lifestyle is released for you, in Jesus’ Name.
