Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Engaging The Heart In Prayers

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 2 January 2025 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Engaging The Heart In Prayers

TOPIC: Engaging The Heart In Prayers (Seeds Of Destiny 2 January 2025)

SCRIPTURE: And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord. Jeremiah 30:21.

THOUGHT: The prayer that provokes new beginnings in one’s life is the prayer that engages the heart to seek God.

MESSAGE:

In our previous message, we saw that our God is the God of new beginning. He is willing to give you a new beginning in every new season of life like the one we are in right now. He has the capacity and ability to cause new beginnings, new encounters and new breakthroughs in our lives and destinies. However, God does not give new beginnings to everyone. He only gives new beginnings to those who are desperate for a change of level.

Now, one way to engage God to experience new beginning is by prayer. Prayer is a force that causes new beginnings in one’s life. Notwithstanding, there are many people who pray, still, they do not experience new beginning. This is because it is not all kinds of prayer that causes new beginning in one’s life. The question, therefore, is, what kind of prayer makes one to experience a new beginning?

Jeremiah 30:21 says, …for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord. It is the prayer that engages the heart to seek God.

The prayer that provokes new beginnings in one’s life is the prayer that engages the heart to seek God. The prayer that produces effective results is the one that involves the engagement of the heart. You see, prayer is not, first of all, the exertion of your strength or the loudness of your words, but the outpouring of your heart to God. The prayer that has not touched your heart cannot touch God. The prayer that does not involves the totality of your heart or your being cannot move mountain. Many people shout when they pray, but their heart is not involved (Matthew 15:8); but others pour out their heart without making any noise and God heard them (1 Samuel 1:13-17). Beloved, my counsel is, engage your heart to seek God while praying. This is the prayer that moves God to arise on your behalf.

Remember this: The prayer that provokes new beginnings in one’s life is the prayer that engages the heart to seek God.

ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Avoid praying with wondering heart and mind.
  2. Allow your heart to pray before your mouth prays. Involve your heart totally in prayer.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for showing me how to pray effectively. I receive the grace to involve my heart in prayer, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
