SCRIPTURE: Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Character is a lifter of men and destinies.
MESSAGE:
It has been established that one thing that takes a person to high places of authority is godly character. Character is a lifter of men and destinies.
Proverbs 14:34 says,
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
Sometime ago, I heard that people who want to contest to become president of the United States of America, would be thoroughly screened to ensure they are of quality and godly character. They would assess all areas of their lives. They would verify everything about them, even to their primary schools.
They would want to know if the aspirant stole anything, even if it was as tiny as a pencil, while they were primary school pupils. They would want to know if there is a tendency for stealing, corruption or other negative lifestyles in them.
This is because whatever made them steal something as tiny as a pencil in primary school could make them steal public money when they are eventually elected.
So, people rise up in career, ministry, business, and in life generally by godly character.
Beloved, make up your mind to shun ungodly lifestyle if you want to go up in life.
Remember this: Character is a lifter of men and destinies.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Refuse to be stranded in life by ungodly character.
- Ask God to purge you of any ungodly lifestyle that is capable of ruining your life.
PRAYER: Father, I ask that You purge me of every potential negative lifestyle that can ruin my life and destiny. I receive Your Help to reflect Your Image on earth, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
