SCRIPTURE: For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Psalm 8:5.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: As a Christian, there is a crown of honour on your head. You are designed for dignity and distinction.
MESSAGE:
Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that honour is the portion of the saints. God has crowned every believer with honour. So, as a Christian, there is a crown of honour on your head. You are designed for dignity and distinction.
People will consider it honourable to relate or be associated with you. They will see the glory of your father on you and give you the honour.
Sometime ago, we had a program in church and the president of one of the African countries sent his son to represent him.
The president’s son came to my office and we started talking, and he said, “I want to thank you so much for the hospitality and honour you have given to me.” Then I asked him, “What do you mean?” He said, “When the people received me at the airport and took me to the hotel, I was wondering if they were aware that I was not the president. I am only his son. I asked myself, ‘Am I sure they are not making a mistake”?
Then I told him, “No! It was not a mistake. They did not make any mistake at all. You did not come here in your name; you came in the name of your father who is the president of your country. And so, anything we should have done to receive him, is what we would do to receive you also.”
You see, if the son of an earthly president can be this honoured and respected because of his father’s name, how much more will the child of the King of all kings?
Beloved, I decree that a greater honour will come upon you in this season because you are the child of the President of all presidents.
Remember this: As a Christian, there is a crown of honour on your head. You are designed for dignity and distinction.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Always remember that you are destined for honour and distinction.
- Refuse every trace of shame and reproach in your life.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your mark of honour and distinction on my life. I reject and curse every spell of shame and reproach in my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
