SCRIPTURE: Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Daniel 2:17-18

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Mysteries are behind mysterious happenings in life.

MESSAGE:

Mysteries are behind mysterious happenings in life.
When we say that mysteries are behind mysterious happenings, we mean something hidden from you may be the reason for some strange happenings in your life that you cannot understand. Something you are not aware of may be the reason for something that has perplexed you.

The story of Rachael’s premature death can illustrate how mysteries fuel mysterious happenings. (Genesis 35:19). Rachael was the mother of Joseph but she died when she was giving birth to Benjamin (Genesis 35:17-18).

The question is, why did Rachael die prematurely?
Something happened when Jacob was leaving the house of his father in-law, Laban: Laban’s idols were stolen, and Laban ran after Jacob to recover them.

Genesis 31:19, 31-32 reveals that there was a death sentence on the life of Rachael. Jacob pronounced a death sentence on whoever stole the idols, not knowing it was Rachael who stole them.

You see, covenant people should be careful how they talk because their words carry weight.

If Jacob knew that it was his beloved wife that stole those idols, he would not have pronounced such a deadly curse on the person that stole them.

When Laban could not find the idols with anyone, because Rachael sat on them, he returned home but Rachael was left with a death sentence.

So, when she was about to give birth to Benjamin, the death that was pronounced on her earlier, came for her.

Beloved, you shall fulfil your days; nothing shall take you away before your time. God will reveal to you anything that wants to kill you before your time. I decree that every death sentence over your life is reversed in the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!
