TREM Devotional – Stay In God’s Will

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 30 December 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Stay In God’s Will

TOPIC: Stay In God’s Will (TREM Devotional 30 December 2022)

“Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father” Genesis 26:3 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Isaac wanted to run away from the land of famine, but God came to him and said, don’t move from famine, stay in this land. So, Isaac dwelt in Gerar according to God’s Word. He started living there. He did not come on holiday. He did not come to watch whether it is favorable or not. He started living there. Why? Because Jehovah said, stay there.

You see, my body itches for Christians who serve God out of convenience. When it is convenient, I will serve Him. I will serve Him when everything is working well. When it’s convenient I will give to him. When my bills are paid, I will give to him. When things are favorable, I will serve Him. No! God wants you to trust Him. And He can be trusted. We see this in Isaac’s experience. “Then Isaac sowed in that land and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.” (Genesis 26:12 KJV)

Many may think that the day God told him to stay in Gerar, the next day Isaac sowed in the land, and then the next day he got a hundred-fold. No! He started living there. That was his abode and he kept on sowing and eventually reaped in the place. He trusted God. Probably there was a year he sowed, and he sowed and he did not get a hundred-fold. But he stayed there. Instruction has not changed. As you enter the new year, stick with the instruction you have received from God.

That is why you need to write it down and constantly remind yourself of what the Lord has spoken to you. There is the general word to everyone, but there is a word specifically for you. Hold on to the word of God. God’s word to you will definitely come to pass. So make up your mind to follow Him every step of the way no matter what comes against you and 2023 will answer to you.

DAILY CONFESSIONS: December 25th – December 31st

I will dwell in the secret place of the most High; I shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover me with his feathers, and under His wings shalt I trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler.

I shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come nigh me.

Only with my eyes will I behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because I have made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation; There shall no evil befall me, neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways. (Psalm 91:1-11)

Every day and in every way I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally, and in all my endeavours.

I am called for a purpose. I will fulfill this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom.

IT IS MY WEEK OF ACCELERATION!
