TOPIC: Reverence For God – A Pathway To Upright Living (Seeds Of Destiny 8 April 2025)
SCRIPTURE: And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God. – Genesis 42:18
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Those who fear God cannot be crooked in life.
MESSAGE:
The character of trustworthiness is a key to increase and blessings. Joseph demonstrated this virtue in an extraordinary way. He reached a point where Potiphar trusted him with all his resources, and nothing was missing under his watch. When you live a life of integrity and uprightness, even God and the devil will recognize your trustworthiness. When this happens, no force on earth can stop the flow of blessings and resources into your life.
On the contrary, crookedness hinders progress. Many people struggle in life, wondering why things are not working for them. For example, some husbands hide money from their wives, claiming they are broke. Such level of dishonesty invites limitations.
Today, I declare every spell of crookedness over your life broken in the name of Jesus Christ!
Joseph’s reverence for God was evident in his words in Genesis 42:18, where he said, “I fear God.” This fear of God was the secret of the abundance and favour he enjoyed.
Beloved, take a moment to examine yourself: Do you genuinely fear God? Does your reverence for God guide your actions, just as it did for Joseph? Those who truly fear God cannot live dishonestly. Crookedness is evidence of a lack of reverence for God, and it deprives people of divine blessings. Let your reverence for God inspire you to live uprightly.
REMEMBER THIS: Those who fear God cannot be crooked in life.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Make a deliberate decision to cultivate reverential fear of God.
- Allow the fear of God guide you to live an upright life.
PRAYER: Father, I ask for the grace to walk in reverence for You. Deliver me from a lifestyle of sin and dishonesty. Help me to live uprightly and honour You in all I do, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
