Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Kindness Of Love

Pastor Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 29 August 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Kindness Of Love

TOPIC: The Kindness Of Love

There is kindness and generosity in love.

SCRIPTURE: Charity suffereth long, and is kind. 1 Corinthians 13:4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is kindness and generosity in love.

Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that charity, which is love, is kind. This means, it is the nature of love to be kind. So, anyone who claims to love and is not kind is not a genuine lover.

Now, what do we mean when we say that love is kind?

Love is kind means:

  1. There is generosity in love.
  2. Love gives.
  3. Love does not withhold good from those to whom it is due.

Proverbs 3:27-28 says,

Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

God admonishes us to give generously. It is not proper to say, “I will give some other time”, when you can, give now.

You see, there are many people who can do for someone what they are joining their faith with that person for, in the prayer of agreement. What I mean is this: You can easily change the car tire for someone. You have enough money to assist in their accommodation and pay their children’s school fees, but you are praying with them for God to provide those things for them. If you can assist them, assist them.

Beloved, it is not out of order if you have money to buy a car for a brother who is very dedicated to God in church and is trekking to church all the time.

Therefore, make up your mind to be kind towards the brethren.

Remember this: There is kindness and generosity in love.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to be kind towards your neighbours.
  2. Do not turn your back on the need of a brother when you have the capacity to meet the need.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You give me the heart of love. Help me to love and be kind towards everyone, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
