TOPIC: Your Character And Your Ability (Seeds Of Destiny 15 January 2025)
SCRIPTURE: Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth. Numbers 12:3.
THOUGHT: Any man or woman that has ability without character is useless in the Hands of God.
MESSAGE:
Previously, we saw that character determines your capacity. God gives people capacities by first measuring their character. You see, the worst thing that can happen to anyone is having capacity without character, and that equals calamity. The truth is, what made David to become the king instead of his brothers was that he had the character which his brothers never had. He had a heart of a servant. He had a character of humility. Psalm 89:20 says, I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: While his brothers were living as bosses, David was called a servant. Then God seemed to have said concerning David, “That is the character I’m looking for to give him the capacity to become the king of Israel.” There is a capacity that God has earmarked for you, but it is waiting for your character.
Numbers 12:3 says, Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth. The man, Moses, was meek. If you looked at Moses and you were told: “This is Moses”, you wouldn’t believe it because he didn’t look like it. He was meeker than everyone on the face on the earth. No wonder he got an inheritance higher than anyone in his generation. How long will it take a man who is a stammerer to preach a message? But because he had the godly character, God overlooked his incapacity and gave him a large capacity. Moses was a stammerer that pastored a congregation of three and a half million people and also brought out water from the rock. Take note of this: Your character is more important to God than your ability. Any man or woman that has ability without character is useless in the Hands of God.
Remember this: Any man or woman that has ability without character is useless in the Hands of God.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Make up your mind to let your character match up with your ability.
- Give God the reason to use you by developing godly character.
PRAYER: Father, I receive to be useless in Your hands. I receive the grace to live right so I can be a channel of blessing to my generation, O LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
