Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Your Character And Your Destiny

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 5 December 2023 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche — Your Character And Your Destiny

TOPIC: Your Character And Your Destiny (Seeds Of Destiny 5 December 2023)

SCRIPTURE: Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Daniel 6:4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your future is at the mercy of your nature; your character determines your destiny.

MESSAGE:

It has been established that your future is at the mercy of your nature, and your character determines your destiny.

For example, Esau, the first born of Isaac, was not the carrier of the generational blessing in the life of Abraham because of his nature or character. A negative character is a limitation to destiny. Your lifestyle determines your outcome. Who you are determines where you end. That is why they call us “human beings”, and not “human doings.”

Daniel was a man of integrity. He refused to defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat (Daniel 1:8).

In the Book of Daniel Chapter 6, they were trying to find fault with him, but they could not find any fault in him.

By the strength of his solid character, he continued as a person of relevance from the reign of king Nebuchadnezzar to Belshazzar; and from Belshazzar to Darius; and from Darius to Cyrus. These four kings ruled for more than seventy years from the beginning of the captivity of Judah to the end of the captivity, and Daniel remained in power. The reshuffle of cabinet in each of the administrations did not affect Daniel.

Daniel could not be sacked. Opposing kings could not release him because he was a man of godly character.
Beloved, if you stand on solid character, no economic, geographical or historical problem can shift your ground.

My counsel is, in all your getting, ensure that you get and hold on to godly character. Don’t let any demonic agent intimidate you into giving it away. Work on your character. Character is not a destination; it is a journey. You can be better in character today than you were yesterday.

Remember this: Your future is at the mercy of your nature; your character determines your destiny.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Prioritize and give attention to the development of your character.
  2. Work on your character and make up your mind to be better day by day.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word today. I ask for the grace to work on my character to be better day by day, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: At the right time, when God is through with you, when He has finished working on your life and character, He will bring you out of obscurity. Culled from the book, “GO IN THIS THY MIGHT” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Colossians 2-4

AMAZING FACT: The earth is the only planet not to be named after a Greek or Roman god. Jupiter is named after the king of Roman gods and Uranus is named after the Greek god of the sky. The name Earth comes from English/German, which means the Ground.

DECLARATION/WORD: Receive the grace to uphold godly character this day in Jesus Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors.
