Topic: Therapy For Indiscipline [Monday April 16, 2018]
Scripture: He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. Proverbs 25:28
Thought For The Day: Lack of self-control is also lack of destiny control.
Yesterday, we saw the tragedies of indiscipline; we noted that there can be no destiny without discipline. We also saw that the lack of self-control is the lack of destiny control.
Now, knowing the dangers of indiscipline is not enough; it is important to know how to deal with indiscipline. It is when indiscipline is dealt with, and discipline or self-control is enforced that destiny can be fulfilled.
Now, what are the therapies for indiscipline?
i) Surrender yourself absolutely to the control of the Holy Spirit
Ask the Holy Spirit to empower your will so that you will do what you want to do.
ii) Learn to say, NO to the flesh
Deny yourself. Say no to yourself. When you say No to yourself, everything is possible.
iii) Surround your life with disciplined people
Let serious-minded people be your friends. If you are surrounded with unserious and undisciplined people who lack self-control, your life will move in that direction. Wrong information from an undisciplined person can change your life negatively. Deliver yourself from wrong associations in order to fulfil your destiny.
In conclusion, determine to surrender yourself absolutely to the leading of the Holy Spirit, learn to deny yourself and surround yourself with disciplined people.
Remember this: Lack of self-control is also lack of destiny control.
