You Can’t Really Rise In Ministry Without Help – Bishop Wisdom Irabor

Every lamp needs another lamp to see it’s bottom, this is exactly what ministry entails. Every ministry needs the help of another ministry to grow. In his sermon “Wisdom For Founders And Assistant Ministers”, Bishop Wisdom Irabor of the Answers Assembly preached about the essence of help in ministry.

The Bishop revealed to his congregation that it is impossible for a pastor to rise in ministry without help.

“You can’t really rise in ministry without help. Apostle Paul said having obtained the help of the Lord, we continue till this day. Apostle Paul also said greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in ministry. Romans 16:3”, Bishop Irabor said.

He highlighted seven groups of pastors that will never help their co-pastors physically in ministry.

The man of God noted that a pastor who is in competition with his co-pastor can never help the latter. It doesn’t matter whether such a pastor is aware of the competition.

Also a pastor who is pastoring in the same city won’t help the other. This is because they are fishing in the same pond.

“The man in competition with you won’t help you. Whether you are aware of the competition or not, he will never help you.

The Pastor fishing from the same pond with you can’t help you to catch more fishes than himself. This is why most big names in every city don’t practice same-city submission. They always travel far to submit. They don’t openly identify with fathers in the same city. This is how a territory is secured and maintained”, Wisdom Irabor said.

Ministering further, Bishop Irabor stated that there are pastors who are not satisfied with their position and the ones hiding what helped them to the top can’t help their fellow pastors.

“The man who wants to be number one and at the same time wants to be number 2 and number 3 won’t help you physically.

The man who is hiding something that helped him from the knowledge of the public can’t truly help you”, he said.

He added that pastors who have hurt or betrayed their copastors can’t receive help. Also pastors who want submission before rendering help and the ones who wants you to inherit their enemies can’t help you as a growing pastor.

“The man you have ever hurt or betrayed can never help you. Even after you are forgiven and you start relating, he will still not help you.

The man who wants you to submit to him before helping you will never help you, unless you submit to him.

The pastor with a philosophy of my enemies must be your enemies, and who I don’t relate with, you must not relate with will never help”, Bishop Irabor said.
