Seeds For The Dream ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: Seeds For The Dream [Saturday 31, December 2016]

“….For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap,” (Galatians 6:7 KJV).

The implication in the above scripture is that there are many kinds of seeds. That is the reason, the Bible says “whatsoever, a man soweth”. It could be money, prayer, winning souls, love or hospitality, etc. that could be sown. The other side of the coin is that if a man does not sow: he will not reap.

Before a farmer goes to sow his seeds, he already envisages the size of the harvest he will reap. in the same manner in your sowing, always remember that your seed has the power to nourish your dream. When you deal with people, the church, in your family or wherever, always remember that your seed has power to produce your dream so you must sow your seed with care; dont wait until you are a millionaire before you begin to sow your seeds. Begin to sow your seed at the slightest opportunity. Also know that your seed should be proportionate to the size of your dream.

FURTHER STUDY: Job 4:8, Hosea 10:12, Genesis 28:14
PRAYER/CONFESSION: Lord, by faith i receive  the supernatural idea that will bring my dream in Jesus name.
WORDS OF WISDOM: Your seed has the power to produce your dream.

See Good Things Happening For You ~ Pastor Chris Oyakilome

Topic: See Good Things Happening For You [Saturday, December 31st]

The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage (Psalm 16:6).

In Jeremiah 29:11 GNB, the Lord said something so beautiful; it reads, “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” How comforting and uplifting this is! As you look to the coming year, be optimistic, full of faith and expectation because He has made your life glorious and your future is bright.

You need not be apprehensive or fretful about the coming year. God has already seen the year ahead; to Him, it’s already in the past. He’s already done all that needs to be done for you to have extraordinary victories and success in 2017. He has already perfected everything for you; all you need is to stick to His Word; follow the guidance, direction and leading from the Spirit concerning the coming year. Be sure to attend our December 31 st Night Service onsite, online or via Satellite for that sure word from God that’ll position you for transcendental blessings, and a triumphant 2017.

God already prearranged and made ready the good life for you to live. Refuse to be moved by the challenges and cares of this present moment! Jesus said, “…Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on….” (Matthew 6:25-26). God doesn’t want you to be anxious about the future. He wants you, rather, to “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanks giving let your requests be made known unto God” (Philippians 4:6).

Keep your focus on the Word. Follow the Lord in the Word, and through the Word with all your heart. God’s Word is dependable and guaranteed to produce results. When you trust in the Lord and in His eternal Word, it doesn’t matter the heat or hardship others may experience, your path will be one of continual victory, progress, peace, health, and joy. Good things will keep happening for you, with you, and through you.

PRAYER

Dear Father, my trust is in you for an extraordinary 2017, filled with blessings, testimonies, and miracles. I’m excited to know that you’ve made my life glorious, and my future is bright; you’ve perfected all that concerns me, and granted me all that I need to live a successful life. Thank you for leading me in the path of your righteousness, wisdom, and glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Looking Back And Looking Forward ~ Pastor William Kumuyi

Topic: Looking Back And Looking Forward [December 31, 2016]

Text: 1 Samuel 7:1-12

Key Verse: “Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us” (1 Samuel 7:12).

Life is short. However long a journey is, it must surely come to an end. Most men wrongly hold the belief that life will last forever, only to discover that it is like a vapour, seen one moment, yet evaporates the next minute. The children of Israel had suffered much from the hands of the Philistines because of their sins. They were in bondage of fear. The ark of God captured by the Philistines had been released because the Lord poured His wrath upon them.

At Bethlehemesh, the Lord had smitten fifty-seven thousand for looking into the ark. The men of Kirjath-jearim came and fetched the ark and brought it into the house of Abinadab, consecrating Eleazer, his son to keep it. Looking back, the children of Israel were compassed about with so many occurrences of disaster, destruction and death. It was as if their future was bleak and hopeless. Then Samuel came and preached repentance to them. They hearkened unto him and returned unto the Lord with penitent hearts. Although the Philistines, an enemy that defeated them over the years came again, yet God gave them a resounding victory.

Looking at your own life too, you might have passed through the valley of the shadow of death this passing year. It may be that the devil and his agents have been making life difficult for you in your family, academics or business this year, don’t give up. “Prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only and he will deliver you.” God loves you. Jesus cares for you. Think of what the Lord has done for you hitherto. He will surely perfect everything pertaining to your life as you cross over to the New Year. If the Lord has not abandoned you thus far despite your many failings, indications are that He will perfect what He has started in you, once you make your calling an election sure.

Thought for the day: Trials provoke triumphs which in turn mid-wife testimonies.

Don’t Speak—Shout Your Victory! ~ Kenneth Copeland

Topic: Don’t Speak—Shout Your Victory! [December 31, 2016]

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised. – Psalm 113:3

Praise God. Praise Him in the morning. Praise Him at noon. Praise Him at night. If you’ve never praised God in your life, then get started right now. Praise Him for freedom. Praise Him for healing and Calvary. Praise Him for the Name of Jesus.

You ought to be shouting your way to work and shouting your way back home! If there’s anything the devil can’t stand, it’s praise.

If you’ve taken territory from the devil and he’s coming against you to get it back, this is not the time to sit down and whine about how things aren’t working out. It’s not time to decide that God has taken His hand off your life.

It is time to get into the Word and get yourself re-anchored in God’s promises. It is time to keep those promises constantly before your eyes and in your heart. It is time to pray the prayer of faith and take your stand on the basis of His provision. It is time to continue to do the things you know to do.

When Satan starts shaking your mountain, don’t retreat and run for cover. Speak to the mountain with the authority you wield in the Name of Jesus Christ. Then, when you’re done with that, start to praise and shout the victory.

You don’t have to be afraid of Satan. He’ll be afraid of you!

Acceptable Service ~ Pastor E.A Adeboye

Topic: Acceptable Service [Saturday 31, December 2016]

Memorise: Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. – James 1:27

Read: Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Bible in One Year: Numbers 7:84-10:10, Psalms 140

MESSAGE:

The major difference between David and the other soldiers at the war front was simply the fact that David could not stand the insult and blasphemy against the God of Israel. He knew God so well, and he feared and honoured Him so much that he decided to confront the giant warrior called Goliath without any fear of losing his life. David, in this case, took the meaning of acceptable service to another level. It can be very painful when the authority of God is so challenged, you will want to do anything to defend Him even if it means doing so with your life. In 1 Samuel 17:23-26, Goliath came out, boasted exceedingly and asked; “Where is the God of Israel?” For as many as had no intimate relationship with God, this threat, challenge and disgraced meant nothing to them. But then, one day, a little boy who loved the Lord was there, he heard Goliath talk against his God and he got very angry. His love for God propelled him to dare this giant that was bringing shame on God and His people.

It can be very painful when you have problem that has persisted, especially when you know that your God is more than able to solve it. People may even ask, “Did you not say your God can do all things? Why has He not done yours?” Yes, it can be painful, but you must be prepared to love God to the extent of not minding what people say about your condition.

In Psalms 115:1-3, when the unbelievers where asking the psalmist: “Where is your God?” instead of being embarrassed or wallow in self-pity, he was not bothered. In fact, he began to make excuses for God because of his love for Him. He replied them: “Are you asking of my God because of this little problem? My God is still in Heaven. He is still on the throne and He cannot be dethroned. If you must know, my God does whatever He pleases and is not accountable to anyone. Whether He does it or not, you cannot take Him to court. He knows the right time to solve this problem because your time and mine may not be His. Is it not for me? I am prepared to wait for His time; I am not in any hurry”. With that kind of answer, the mouths of the enemies will be stopped. How much do you love God? The proof of your love for God against all odds in the mark of an acceptable service unto Him!

Prayer Point: Father, I commit my life to You wholeheartedly.

The Lord’s Spokesman ~ Pastor E.A Adeboye

Topic: The Lord’s Spokesman [Friday 30, December 2016]

Memorise: Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. – 2 Corinthians 5:20

Read: 1 Peter 4:10-11 (KJV)

10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Bible in One Year: Numbers 7:1-83, Psalms 139:17-24

MESSAGE:

The first instruction that God usually gives to any appointed spokesperson in the Bible is to be bold. Moses, Joshua, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel were all enjoined to be bold and courageous to face the task ahead of them. This is simply because human beings are always rebellious to God’s commandments, this is more so with the rich, powerful and influential people in the society. Without boldness, it becomes difficult to speak against such prominent people out of fear of reprisal. However, when God surrounds your life with His presence as a mountain, you become immune to all attacks of your enemies. It is not that they won’t try; but their attempts will fail. Many believers take God’s protection for granted, because it is not physical or tangible to them, however, it is very visible to their enemies who operate in the negative spiritual realm. For so long, Satan desired to harm Job but could not, because of the protective wall he called a hedge.

“Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.”Job 1:10

The enemy knows the areas God’s protection covers in the lives of believers. They know the areas that are exposed, and it is those exposed parts that they usually target. If you are toying with sin, you are gradually exposing yourself to the enemies. From Satan’s reply, he must have been frustrated in previous attempts to harm Job. He could touch just anybody else but Job. As long as you are inside the protective cover of the Lord, the enemies will be frustrated concerning you. They will look for every opportunity to strike at you, but finding none, they will attempt to distract you from the path of holiness into sin. If they can succeed in getting you to sin and especially get you to continue in that sin, God will withdraw, and they will take over. Ensure you remain under His cover.

Prayer Point: Father, please, help me never to shed Your covering over me in Jesus’ name.

Not An Easy Ride ~ Pastor William Kumuyi

Topic: Not An Easy Ride [December 30, 2016]

Text: Jeremiah 12:1-6

Key Verse: “If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?” (Jeremiah 12:5).

A story was told of a boy who deliberately failed third grade so he wouldn’t have to go into fourth grade and write with ink! Today, children are not worrying about using ink in elementary school but are learning to use simple computer programs so they’ll be prepared to use more difficult programs in high school and college. There’s no growth without challenge, and there’s no challenge without change.

Prophet Jeremiah had this theological crisis in our text. He found himself struggling with the paradox of wicked people prospering. He couldn’t understand why a holy God would permit false prophets, unbelievers, idol worshipers and the unfaithful priests to prosper while he, His faithful servant, was facing trials. God’s reply to him wasn’t the kind he expected. Instead of focusing on the wicked, he was encouraged to focus on himself. He was told not to expect an easy ride as the life of the prophet involves suffering. Jeremiah probably would have had a comfortable and secure life if he had not accepted the call to be a prophet.

He was like a man running a race and having a hard time keeping up. He was now to progress from the level of running with the foot soldiers to racing with fast horses, and from a level playing ground to coping with an overflowing Jordan. As Christian pilgrims, we must not expect an easy ride. Life on the narrow road can bring hardships, misunderstanding and opposition by even members of our own families. Each new challenge (horses, jungles, opposition of relatives) will help us develop our faith and prepare us for more fruitful ministry and heaven at last. Ultimately, weeping can only endure for a night, joy will eventually berth in the morning.

Thought for the day: An easy life stifles maturity; challenges develop spiritual muscles.

What Is Your Dream? ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: What Is Your Dream? [Friday, December 30th]

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” Proverbs 23:7.

To succeed in life, you must have a God given dream. If you do not have a dream to propel your life, you will go through life without a sense of direction.
What is a dream? A dream is a supernatural photograph of who you should be, that is printed in your sub-conscious mind by God himself.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”Proverbs 23:7. Your future in your tomorrow is packaged in the way you think today. If you don`t have a dream, your success has no vehicle to convey it to its destination.

You must realize that it is your relationship with God that will empower your dream, hence, if you value your dream you will also value your relationship with God.

When Potiphars wife tried to seduce Joseph in Genesis 39, he resisted. Why did he take a firm stand? It was because he did not only value his relationship with God but he was quick to realize that his dream relied heavily on his relationship with God. Note that if Joseph had slept with Potiphar`s wife, Joseph would never have arrived at the kings palace.

FURTHER READING: Proverbs 23:7, Genesis 39:9
PRAYER/CONFESSION: Lord, give me a dream in Jesus name and give me the ability to always value my relationship with you; Lord, cause my dream to manifest in every area of my life.
WORDS OF WISDOM: Your future or your tomorrow is packaged in they way yo think.

You Have Nothing To Fear ~ Pastor Chris Oyakilome

Topic: You Have Nothing To Fear [Friday, December 30th]

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10).

Being born again, you have nothing to fear, because the Holy Spirit lives in you. There’s a divine impact of His divine presence and power on your physical body that keeps it immune to sickness, diseases, and infirmities. Even at the worst case scenario: if your physical body has already been so ravaged, battered and bruised by sickness and disease, the Holy Spirit will revitalise and restore life back to it. That’s what we read in our opening verse. A better rendering is, “But if Christ lives in you, though your body be dead because of sin, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness.”

The Holy Spirit raised the dead body of Jesus back to life; that same Spirit lives in you today. Romans 8:11 says, “And if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead, lives in you, that same Spirit shall give life to your mortal body.” This isn’t something futuristic; it’s something that happened at the instant the Holy Spirit took up His abode in you; He gave life to your hitherto mortal body. Your physical body is actually not mortal—death-doomed—anymore.

Therefore, if today you’re suffering terribly with sickness and disease, act on the Word. The power to make you whole isn’t coming from heaven; it’s in you. Declare, “The Holy Spirit lives in me and has given life to my physical body. My whole being is vitalised and energised by the divine power of the One who perambulates in me!” It makes no difference what the case is; if the health condition is so bad that you can’t declare it out loud, whisper it! If it’s so serious that you can’t even whisper, think it in your mind! When you whisper or contemplate it long enough, the Holy Spirit will overshadow you as He did the dead body of Jesus, and revitalise your entire being.

Understand something: the Holy Spirit is God, and He actually lives in you. That means the Healer, not just the healing power, lives in you! That settles the issue of sickness and disease forever. Therefore, if death has attacked your body through sickness, disease or infirmity, you have nothing to fear or worry about; trust the Healer in you to take care of it. He’ll restore you back to life! Glory to God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the divine impact of your Spirit—the Healer—on my physical body. I refuse to fear, for His presence in me paralyses, destroys, eliminates and dispels every form of sickness, disease or infirmity. Therefore, from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, I’m whole, sound, and excellent, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study: || 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. ||

|| Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. ||
