[Music + Video] Chains Fall – Yemi Alafifuni

Chains Fall - Yemi AlafifuniYemi Alafifuni is excited to officially release his new single, “Chains Fall”. Inspired by his struggles of being tied down with constant shame and lack, Yemi found a solution that works in the name of Jesus. He wants his listeners to know that walking with God holds much strength and there’s real power in the name and person of Jesus. Combining acoustic pop & contemporary gospel, Yemi is determined to go the full length with this story of breakthrough.

The Inspiration:
Ever since becoming a Christian, Yemi has tried to live a godly life, but struggled with a life of rejection, low self-esteem and constant need to belong. He thought that he had to perform or act in a certain way to earn approval from people around him and with God. Yemi said; “The more I try to live up to my faith, the more I failed. The need to be accepted by anyone was great and so was the cares of life”. With this came an unhealthy habit of self-centeredness, fear of the unknown, loneliness, guilt, unforgiveness, filth addiction and a lifestyle of debt. The irony was Yemi had the answer within him to break the chains all along, but never used it until now.

The truth is every time Yemi fell short, God never left. Yemi said;

“God kept saying but I have given you victory over this. When I thought I was strong, I would fall again & again to the point where I gave up and thought myself a hypocritical Christian. And yet He never left me!  God promised and held on until I received the fullness of that victory. He is still here to catch and help me today”.

This is the true inspiration behind this song, but it didn’t start as most songs do.

The Bus-Stop Song:
It was a cold weekday morning, Yemi woke up longing to worship and to write a hook to complete an already written song called “Behold the Lamb”. (Newsflash: This song will be released in March 2021).

On his way to work and at a bus stop, Yemi began to hum a tune and within minutes the hook (Every chain fall) was received – the perfect puzzle to the other song or so he thought. During music production, it became clear that the hook was a completely new song of its own. This was how the song ‘Chains Fall’ started.

Writing the rest of the song was challenging but he was inspired by a verse from the bible; Nahum 1:13: So now, I will break his yoke bar from upon you, and I will tear off your shackles.”

Yemi shared this bible verse, the story (above) and the written lyrics at the time with his producer. And in collaboration with other seasoned writers, they completed the song. Of the song Yemi says:

This song embodies my journey to freedom in Christ, Nahum 1:13 and the interpretation of three other writers. This song carries our solution to breaking any addiction, fear due to rejection, bondage and anything that may constitute chains in our lives. As it is very frustrating waiting for a late bus in winter conditions, we all need to be fed up with the chains binding us daily and seek true deliverance that can only be found in Jesus. Tell your struggles it’s the last bus stop, call the name and see the chains fall!

The song had to be recorded at All Nations Worship Assembly Church Auditorium in Chicago – USA just as the COVID-19 lockdown came into effect and studios in the area cancelled on us.

Produced by multi-award-winning producer Vaughan Phoenix (who has produced for known names in the gospel music front including Tasha Cobbs Leonard, William Murphy & Koryn Hawthorne) – Mastered by the legendary Herb Powers Jr.

It is Yemi’s plan to tour local and certain countries like USA, Nigeria & Canada by the grace of God but this is on review due to the current pandemic climate and will be announced in due course.

Yemi’s sound is becoming increasingly more defined, one release at a time. With his music, Yemi can truly connect with the audience, as well as share a powerful message of hope through his lyrics.

Chains Fall is “top notch”. It’s just pure vocals delivering a stern / authoritative gospel.

Chains Fall is a mix of two musical worlds, its pop but gospel to the full. It’s American yet British. Great sound. Beyond the sound, we see this played in churches a lot.

Chains Fall is lyrically strong.

C.A.C Daily Devotional – Understanding The Kingdom Of Darkness (1)

The Living Water -  Christ Apostolic Church Daily Devotional Guide

The Living Water –  Christ Apostolic Church Daily Devotional Guide

Topic: Understanding The Kingdom Of Darkness (1)

Date: Friday, November 13, 2020 – World Kindness Day

Read: 2 Corinthians 10:1-6

2 Corinthians 10:1-6  Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

MEMORISE:

Have respect to the covenant; for the dark places of the earth are full of the haunts of cruelty (Psalms 74:20)

EXPOSITION

The kingdom of darkness is a mystery but not from God who made all things. Ordinary human being cannot fathom the operation of the dark kingdom. Yet, it is clear as light before the Lord of heaven and earth whose seat is enthroned in light that eyes cannot behold. (Matthew 13:10,11,34,35; 1 Timothy 3:16; 2 Thessalonians 2:7). This is because both kingdoms operate on a higher plane or principles and laws that are beyond human comprehension and ability. The Lord Jesus Christ however assures that “there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, and hid that shall not be known. Therefore, fear them not” (Matthew 10:26).

The Bible makes it clear that there is a kingdom of darkness. That is, a system that operates in secret. Everything is done secretly to the honour and praise of the devil. They avoid anything called light and try as much as possible to put off light. It is a system that is full of undertones and a communion that is laden with dark sentences. Anyone that is outside their fold is called the uninitiated. Their practices are a taboo for the outsiders to know. Those in their confraternities are bound by a grievous oath. Repentance and forgiveness can never be found among them. Mercy is not part of their vocabulary, not to talk of grace. Curse, vindictiveness and cruelty, etc. are their trademarks.

The dark kingdom is said to be in three categories: Anti-God, Antichrist and Satanic. This has been confirmed by countless former devotees worldwide, who had served the kingdom for many years before God rescued them through the blood of His dear Son, Jesus Christ. These infernal groups communicate by codes and identity themselves by signs.

Christians are enjoined not to have any fellowship with them (Ephesians 5:11), and to reprove them. Their work is equally described as unfruitful in the same verse; (cf. 2 Corinthians 6:14ff). The Bible says: “And when they shall say unto you, seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep and mutter: should not a people seek unto their god?” (cf. Isaiah 8:19), Seek God today, dear reader, and it shall be well with you in Jesus’ name. Peace be unto you forever!

PRAYER POINTS

1. Thank you Lord for saving me from the power of sin, death and Satan.

2. We repent of, and renounce our follies and all our forefathers’ evil and dark covenants.

3. Lord Jesus, help the leadership of Your Church not to cooperate any longer with the devil but use every opportunity to render him useless in Jesus’ name.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Guarantee Of Lasting Result

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds of Destiny 13 November 2020 Devotional By Pastor Paul Enenche: Truth – The Guarantee Of Lasting Result

Topic: Truth – The Guarantee Of Lasting Result

One of the powers of the truth is the guarantee of longevity and lasting results.

SCRIPTURE: The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Proverbs 12:19.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One of the powers of the truth is the guarantee of longevity and lasting results.

Truth is a major force in life. One of the powers of the truth is the guarantee of longevity and lasting results. But lies on the other hand cut lives and destinies short. This is why you must avoid the way of lie.

Proverbs 12:19 says, The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

It does not matter how successful a fake man is, his success cannot last. It does not matter how prosperous a deceitful woman is, her prosperity has no future in this world and in the world to come.

Another instructive passage on this subject is Psalm 101:7:He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

If you tell lies, you will not tarry in God’s Presence – whether the lie is presenting a certificate which is not yours, changing your date of birth to get a job, arranging a false marriage to get a Green Card, inflating the price of materials officially procured in order to keep the balance of the money, etc. The Bible says that he who tells lies shall not tarry in God’s Presence. And if you can’t tarry in God’s Presence, where would you tarry? Is it in the presence of the devil? So, telling lies deprives a person of his future.

Beloved, if you want to tarry in the sight of Jehovah, you must not give room to any form of lie, exaggeration, deception and flattery. Always insist on the truth.

Remember this: One of the powers of the truth is the guarantee of longevity and lasting results.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Avoid all forms of lies and deceit even if it is to gain an earthly advantage.
  2. Make up your mind to speak the truth always whatever the cost.

PRAYER: O Lord, deliver me from the lifestyle of lies and deceits. I refuse to yield my tongue as an instrument of lies, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: DEADLY ENEMIES OF DESTINY (PART 4).

QUOTE: For some people, the only thing that is true about them is that there is no truth about them. Even their age is a lie. And for some, the name they bear is a lie. Culled from “WHO ARE YOU?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Acts 25-27

AMAZING FACT: The bat is the only mammal that can fly.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive the freedom that truth brings as you refuse to walk in lies in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities

DCLM Daily Manna – A Father Or As A Judge?

DCLM Daily Manna

Topic: As A Father Or As A Judge? [DCLM Daily Manna 13 November 2020 Devotional By Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Job 33:1-13 (KJV)

1 Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.

2 Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.

3 My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

5 If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.

6 Behold, I am according to thy wish in God’s stead: I also am formed out of the clay.

7 Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.

8 Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,

9 I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.

10 Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,

11 He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.

12 Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.

13 Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.

Key Verse: “The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Behold, I am according to thy wish in God’s stead: I also am formed out of the clay” – (Job 33:4,6)

MESSAGE:

It seems the greatest irony of life is that we live and walk daily on the very path where we were taken from: the dust! Yes, man was taken out of the dust, and he was dust until God gave him the breath of life. When man dies, he goes back to the very place he was taken from and where he had walked upon. What a sobering truth!

We are admonished and reminded today of the fact that whatever we are or become in life, we are to always remember that God made us out of clay and that we are nothing without Him. The entire book of Job is like a summary of man in general. Today he is fat and flourishing, tomorrow he is down or even dead.

Man is a tripartite being, which means we have body, soul and spirit. Most people spend their time, talent and treasure in pampering only the body, without ever making any serious plan for their soul’s welfare. Our body is the frame that houses the real man, the soul. The brevity of life is certain, but it is our relationship with God, the Creator, that can determine our eternal abode. Thus, the earlier we realise this the better it is to help us number our very few and fleeting days.

Wisdom demands therefore, that we know, serve and acquaint now with God who created us and lent us the breath in our nostrils. One day, we shall either meet Him as a Father by His right hand or as a fierce Judge, at His left hand to give account of how we spent our life here on earth and what we did with all He had bequeathed to us. Our relationship with Him now will determine where we end up.

Thought For The Day: Would you want to meet God as a Father or as a Judge?

The Bible In One Year: Ezekiel 6-8

DCLM Daily Manna was written by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi; is the founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church situated at KM 42 on the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Nigeria.

Ruach Elohim - Arese Daniels

Dynamic singer and songwriter Arese Daniels releases a new single titled “Ruach Elohim.”

In her words: “When times become tough as we are presently in our nation and political or religious leaders are not giving clear enough leadership, then we know it is time to call on the one who can make things right again.

“He is Ruach Elohim – the Breath of God; the Spirit of God. He was the Power present at creation. We need Him to make all things anew, to save us, to heal us, to touch us once again and move over the land in His power. The very present help in times of trouble. He is all we need right now, even as the nation bleeds and mourn.

“If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2nd Chronicles 7:14

“Ruach Elohim, come heal our land.”

Whether the night represents personal/collective dysfunctions, a raging pandemic, a climate in peril, democracies at risk or unequal economies across the world, we are equipped and strong enough to rise above it all in the power of God’s might!

Where are all the Soldiers?

Let #StrongerSong cause mighty strength to arise in our hearts, in our families, in our communities, in our nation and in our world! Amen, our victory is now!

The video was shot in the scenic locations of Crushed Rock-Mpape, Abuja and Jos, Nigeria.

Quotable Lyrics:
We’re coming out of this Stronger!
Stronger than we’ve ever been!
We’re coming out of this Stronger!
