Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 9 January 2023 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – A Different Approach: The Cure For Persistent Reproach

TOPIC: A Different Approach: The Cure For Persistent Reproach (Seeds Of Destiny 9 January 2023)

SCRIPTURE: Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. Acts 6:3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A different approach is the answer to persistent reproach.

 MESSAGE:

When God brings you to a new season, He wants you to maximize the privileges and opportunities of it. This is because every new season usually comes with new opportunities and privileges.

Now, one thing to do to make the most of a new season is to identify what worked and needed to be improved.

To make the most of a new season, you must identify what has worked in the past that needs to be improved upon. Identify the new changes you need to make in every new season and improve on it.

Let me give you one example. In the Book of Acts Chapter 6, as the disciples were all administering welfare to the people, it was working to some extent. But it came to a time when there was so much complaint and grumbling among the people. There arose murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

So, the disciples had to change their approach of welfare administration.

What did they do? They identified people who could handle the welfare in a way that the stress, murmuring and grumbling would be reduced in order to achieve greater result.

And when they did that, the complaints and murmuring stopped and there was an explosion of multitude in Verse 7 of the same Scripture.

You see, the disciples wanted a positive outcome so they followed a different approach. The truth is, a different approach is the answer to persistent reproach. When what you do always results in reproach, stress, struggle, or pain, change the approach. If the approach is changed, the reproach could be arrested.

My counsel is, always learn how to do the same thing differently where and when necessary.

Remember this: A different approach is the answer to persistent reproach.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to be glued to the same pattern and method of doing things, especially what is not working as expected.
  2. Use a different approach in doing what you have always done to achieve better results.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace and wisdom to devise better and more effective approach to doing things. I refuse to be glued to the same pattern of doing things, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: MAKING THE MOST OF A NEW SEASON.

QUOTE: When a person continuously repeats his mistakes, success will be far. When a man does not learn from his mistakes, failures and defeat, he is not wise. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Genesis 41-45.

AMAZING FACT: The eagle has always been considered as the king of birds, on account of its great strength, rapidity and elevation of flight, natural ferocity, and the terror it inspires into its fellows.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Every reproach of your life is hereby arrested as you employ a new approach in Jesus Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors.
