Topic: Breaking Forth With Light [Seeds Of Destiny 6 December 2018 Devotional]
Scripture: Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward.Isaiah 58:8
Thought For The Day: “The dominion of light over darkness is instant and unquestionable.” Bishop David Oyedepo
Light refers to insight and revelation of the Word, and of the Spirit of God. Revelation in the Spirit means God showing and making you understand something from His Word that you have not seen before.
Now, what is the necessity of light or revelation?
1. It is necessary for the destruction, conquest, humiliation and subjugation of darkness.
In John 1:5, the Bible says,…and the light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.
Light is the cure for darkness. According to Bishop David Oyedepo, the dominion of light over darkness is instant and unquestionable. We need the light of God’s Word to put the darkness of this world on their knees.
- Light is necessary for the dissolution and exposure of mysteries; it takes light to expose darkness. When you carry light, what is hidden in darkness is exposed.
-
Light or revelation is the building block of faith. Spiritual encounters from the Word sponsors the audacity of faith.
Beloved, there is a level of spiritual rascality, radicality and ruggedity you will operate in when you see something from scriptures or when you have an encounter in a revelatory realm; your faith shifts in levels. This further heightens the desire to seek revelation from God’s Word always.
Remember This: The dominion of light over darkness is instant and unquestionable – Bishop David Oyedepo.
