Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 2 April 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Inevitable Appointment

TOPIC: The Inevitable Appointment (Seeds Of Destiny 2 April 2024)

SCRIPTURE: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: HEBREWS 9:27.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The consciousness of the inevitable appointment and inescapable judgment imparts caution to your actions.

MESSAGE:

Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that there is an appointment, and also a judgment.
Everyone on earth is on an appointment, and this appointment is an inevitable one; it is an unavoidable appointment. And the judgment that comes after this appointment is inescapable.

This means, for everyone:

  • There is an inevitable appointment.
  • There is an inescapable judgment.

There is an appointment you must face and there is a judgment you cannot escape.
Now, what is this appointment?
It is the appointment with death!
By this, I don’t mean premature death. That will never be your portion in Jesus’ name.
However, this appointment is inevitable because of the fact that we will not live here on earth forever.

Beloved, one of my deepest concerns is the way many people live on earth: they think they are going to live on earth forever. They are not conscious of the inevitable appointment and inescapable judgment. They are not conscious of the fact that we will all stand before our Maker one day to give the account of our lives. They live carelessly and recklessly because they lack the consciousness of the transient nature of life on earth and the reality of eternity. They waste their lives wallowing in sin, thinking they have limitless time on earth. No!

Our days on earth are numbered (Psalm 90:10, 12). Whether you would live for 70, 80, 90, 100 or more years, your days on earth are numbered. We have a limited time on earth.
As you read this message now, there are people whose lifetime on earth has just come to an end. There are those whose time will elapse by the end of today, and there are others who will not see beyond tomorrow because they would have exhausted their allocated years on earth. No one is here to live forever.

This is not a curse; it is the truth. Statistics reveal that one hundred and two people die every single minute.

Beloved, the consciousness of the inevitable appointment and inescapable judgment imparts caution to your actions. This helps you make it to eternity with God in heaven.
Remember this: The consciousness of the inevitable appointment and inescapable judgment imparts caution to your actions.

ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Always remind yourself of the inevitable appointment and inescapable judgment.
  2. Be conscious of the fact that you will not live on earth forever; therefore, live righteously now so you can end well with God in eternity.

PRAYER: Thank Lord for showing me the truth about the inevitable appointment and inescapable judgment. I ask for the grace to live right on earth so I can end in eternity with God in heaven, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: How you live on earth determines where you will end in eternity. Culled from the book, “Who Are You?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: 2 Chronicles 1-3.

AMAZING FACT: Dolphins have names for one another. Scientists have found that these marine mammals use a distinctive whistle to identify each other. When a dolphin hears their own “name” called, they respond.

PROPHETIC WORD (DECLARATION):
Receive the grace to live in such a manner as to be found worthy of eternal life at the end of your life’s journey in Jesus’ Name.
