TOPIC:Â The Value Of A Soul (Seeds Of Destiny 11 July 2022)
SCRIPTURE: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:36-37.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: In the Sight of God, the weight of a man’s soul is heavier than the weight of the whole world.
MESSAGE:
The Scripture makes it clear that it is not the will of God for anyone to perish. 2 Peter 3:9 says,
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
This is why God did not spare His only begotten Son; He sent Him to die so that all can be saved.
Romans 8:32 says,
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
God sent His Son, Jesus to die because of the value He attaches to the soul of man. Every soul has a great worth and value in the Sight of God.
In the Sight of God, the weight of the soul of a man is heavier than the weight of the whole world. Every single sinner you see on the street is heavier than the weight of the whole world. This is why Mark 8:36-37 says:
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
So, a man’s soul is heavier than the whole world. It cost God so much to save the souls of men. This is one major reason why we must win souls.
The salvation of souls is the heartbeat of God. If you want God to be interested in what interests you, you must be interested in what interests Him. Soul winning is God’s Interest.
Remember this: In the Sight of God, the weight of a man’s soul is heavier than the weight of the whole world.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You open my eyes to see the value and worth of souls the way You see them. I receive the grace to win souls for the Kingdom, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
