Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 20 January 2023 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Your Thought And Your Action

TOPIC: Your Thought And Your Action (Seeds Of Destiny 20 January 2023)

SCRIPTURE: And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough. Luke 15:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When thought changes, action must also change; and when action changes, outcome must change.

Proverbs 23:7 makes it clear that you are the product of your thought. By extension, it means, your mentality determines your reality.

Let me give you one example. The prodigal son was wasting his life in prodigal living in a foreign land, in abject frustration. Then suddenly, his mind changed; he came to himself and began to think.

Luke 15:17-18 says,
17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

In verse 17, he began to think, and in verse 18, he took an action. And when his action changed, his outcome changed.

When he came home, his father saw him from afar and ran to him. His father had compassion on him, gave him a purple cloth, a ring, and killed the fatted calf to celebrate his return.

This happened because his thought changed. When thought changes, action must also change; and when action changes, outcome must change.

So, until thought is right, action cannot be right; and until action is right, outcome cannot be right.

It is also important to know that the deeper your thought, the better your action; and the better your action, the brighter your outcome and your future. The life of a mad man is at zero level because his thought is at zero level. That shall not be your portion in Jesus Name.

Remember this: When thought changes, action must also change; and when action changes, outcome must change.

  1. Refuse to accommodate negative thoughts.
  2. Make the thoughts of God’s Word your thoughts. Meditate on the Word always.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for a mental renovation. Make Your Thoughts my thoughts. Help me to think Your Thoughts Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: A man who talks too much thinks very little. When talk is abundant, thought is shallow. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Leviticus 6-10

AMAZING FACT: The shortest verse in the Bible is John 11:35, which states, “Jesus wept.” The longest book in the Bible is Psalm 119. The shortest book in the Bible is Psalm 117, with just 2 verses. The longest verse in the Bible is Esther 8:9.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The Lord engrace you to maintain a firm grip on your thought life in Jesus Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors.
