TREM Devotional – The Love Of God Is Unconditional

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 8 February 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – The Love Of God Is Unconditional

TOPIC: The Love Of God Is Unconditional

“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him” Luke 15:20 (NKJV)

The parable of the prodigal son is a very familiar story amongst believers and unbelievers alike. Today, I want to draw your attention to some truths from this passage of the scriptures to further strengthen your faith in God’s unconditional, irreversible, and everlasting love for you.

The prodigal son sought to receive his inheritance from his father. He received it and travelled to a distant land where he squandered it on various activities. By his request and subsequent action, this young man displayed a rebellious nature of wanting to live independently of his father’s will. This is the position that many of us find ourselves in today, even as Christians. Unfortunately for the prodigal son, famine hit the land after he was done wasting his resources. And he found himself in a pig’s sty where he had to eat the same meal the pigs were eating to survive. The Bible then records, that after he came to himself, he decided to return to his father whom he had abandoned, not as a son, but as a servant. Now, one would expect that after all that had transpired the relationship between the prodigal son and his father had been totally severed, but then let’s see what happened.

The Bible says that while he was still a great way off, his father sighted him and ran to receive him. What does that tell you? The father had been expecting the return of his son and was always on the lookout for him. That was why he was able to recognize him from a great distance. Put on your imagination! The young man must have been battered, having suffered from the famine and coupled with the stress of the journey he had undertaken to get home. Yet, in that deplorable state, the father was able to recognize him. Not only did he recognize him, he ran to meet him and embraced him, out of compassion. Love reached to him and embraced him. This is a picture of the unconditional love of our Heavenly Father.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Praise – A Key To Increase And Multiplication

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 8 February 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Praise – A Key To Increase And Multiplication

TOPIC: Praise – A Key To Increase And Multiplication

SCRIPTURE: Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. Psalms 67:5-6.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Praise is key to increase. Nothing can decrease around the life of a worshipper of God.

Praise has been confirmed to be a major key to increase and multiplication (Psalms 67:5-6). Nothing can decrease around the life of a worshipper of God. This is because when people praise God, the earth yields her increase.

To yield means to surrender or give up. That means praise carries a force that makes everything that is yours to be handed to you by all means. The limit of your praise is the limit of your increase; the limit of your praise is the limit of your rise.

In the Book of John Chapter 6, when Jesus was confronted with feeding a crowd of five thousand men beside women and children with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, He gave thanks to God. He lifted up His eyes to Heaven, blessed the food, gave thanks to God and it multiplied. This means, if you want anything in your life to multiply, the key is appreciation, thanksgiving or praise.

The favour and resources of your life can move to another level of increase by the power of praise and appreciation (Acts 2:47).

When the disciples praised God, they had favour with all men and there was the addition of souls to the church. This is what praise can do.

This means, the limit of your praise is the limit of your favour. When you praise God, the favour on your life multiplies. It is not possible to praise God and not have favour with both God and men. You cannot be locked up in misfortune, disfavour and rejection if you are a genuine worshipper of God.

REMEMBER THIS: Praise is key to increase. Nothing can decrease around the life of a worshipper of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to praise God continually and unconditionally.
  2. Refuse to give room to depression and discouragement.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the garment of praise to deal with the spirit of heaviness. Deliver me from depression, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: To live a life of praise and worship is to access Divine preservation. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Deuteronomy 27-30.

REFLECTION: Praise activates the Presence of God. Psalm 22:3. The Presence of God attracts the flow of good. Nothing good can ever be lacking where God is. You want the increase of good around your life? Live in praise.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: As you focus on praise in this season, may your resources and supplies explode in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Know Yourself

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 8 February 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Know Yourself

TOPIC: Know Yourself

TEXT: John 8:12-31 (KJV)

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

KEY VERSE: “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” – (John 8:12)

MESSAGE:

The saying, “Know thyself” is mostly attributed to Socrates, the ancient Greek philosopher. Over time, this saying has been applied in different ways that it has acquired a variety of meanings. It can, however, serve as a word of caution or motivation. Self-knowledge will, on one hand, help a person to know his limits, on the other, bolster a person’s self-esteem and nudge him to act accordingly.

Jesus was conscious and unmistaken of who He was. He knew where He came from, the purpose of His coming and what happens to those that follow Him. Although the Pharisees doubted His claim of being the Messiah, their argument did not invalidate the truth of His assertion. He never focused on impressing it upon them that He was the Son of God. Neither did He shy away from telling them who they were.

One major problem many believers of today have is timidity. They find it difficult to tell others that they are born again Christians. It is as if they doubt their salvation experience in Christ. Knowing who we are will enable us take our stand in every situation. Jesus did not lose focus; He was able to explain His mission on earth that His traducers could no more argue.

You cannot truly know yourself until you come to Jesus Christ, “the light of the world”. He said, “he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”. Everyone so redeemed has a definite and new elevated status as joint heirs with the Son. This comes with inalienable rights and privileges. Do you know yourself?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
To know yourself, know the Lord.

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – Attracting God’s Attention

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Monday, February 7, 2022 | Attracting God’s Attention

Topic: Attracting God’s Attention

Date: Monday, February 7, 2022

Read: Luke 18:35-43

Luke 18:35-43  And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.

And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,

Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

MEMORISE:

Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” (Luke 18:39).

EXPOSITION

Being attracted is to turn or look the way of a caller, or an event. It is answering to a persistent demand (Jn. 20:11-16). It is both voluntary and involuntary actions by the attracted. Attraction can sometimes be distraction.

God is ever busy (Jn. 5:17). Yet, He finds time for man in every situation. He even encourages man to approach Him anytime, and that through His only begotten Son, Jesus (Isa. 1:18; 41:1; Jn. 14:14-19). We may always attract His attention by prayers. This is one of the keys that open heaven, and surely attracts God’s attention. Any counsel or knowledge that limits or condemns this exercise is demonic and surely antichrist. ‘Pray without ceasing’, thus says the Lord! The cry of Bartimaeus in our text today (cf. Mk. 10:46-52), is a kind of prayer that halted the Master’s movement.

Another important factor in this regard is persistence. God cherishes persistence. He who seeks the face of God with persistence against every ailing situation and affliction through the Holy Spirit, attracts God’s attention greatly (Rom. 8:26,27). This turned out to be a testimony to the blind man as read in today’s devotional scripture. Jesus’ parable in Luke 18, highlighting the widow’s importunity vividly illustrates the concept on ground. Don’t give up! God is listening!

Moreover, the action of Ahab in 1 Kings 21:17-29 teaches us that humility attracts God’s attention positively. The All-seeing God (Heb. 4:13) saw Ahab’s gruesome murder of Naboth, and was ready to repay him accordingly (cf. Rev. 2:18-23; 22:9-12ff). However, the attitudes of repentance and humility shown by him (v. 29; cf. Prov. 28:13; Lk. 15:11ff; 2 Pet. 3:9) turned God’s attention to him for mercy (cf. Isa. 57:15; 66:2). Pride turns God against the proud (Jas. 4:6,7).

May we find His grace to do those things that would attract His positive attention to us. Amen!

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Thank God for His listening ears to our cries.

2. Ask God for the grace to be importunate in prayers.

3. Pray for the weary and disheartened brethren for mercy and grace to attract God’s visitation again.

TREM Devotional – Mercy Will Turn Things Around In Your Favour

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 7 February 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Mercy Will Turn Things Around In Your Favour

TOPIC: Mercy Will Turn Things Around In Your Favour

“And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.” Matthew 15:22 (KJV)

This Canaanite woman was not even supposed to receive anything, but she came and leveraged on Mercy. She was not qualified, but Mercy qualified her. “…Have mercy on me, O Lord thou son of David…” I am not qualified! It is not the time of the Gentiles. But have mercy on me. I am leaning on mercy to turn around the situation for my daughter.

They tried to push her away, but she persisted. She knew that mercy will not deny her. When the enemy comes to sweep you out of life, Mercy will say no. I want you to know that mercy is saying no on your behalf right now. Your life will not be destroyed. Your children, your marriage, your career and your profession will not be destroyed. Your back may be against the wall, but you will not be destroyed. Mercy will turn that situation around.

Blind Bartimaeus cried out for Mercy and Jesus stood and ministered to him. “And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” Mark 10:47 KJV. Blind Bartimaeus had been written off by men. But one encounter with Mercy changed his story forever. They tried to shut him down, but he refused to be shut down.

You must understand that Mercy is not predicated on what you did or didn’t do. It is just Mercy reaching out to you. Jesus had to stop! Why? Mercy cannot see one who latched on to him and just abandon and forsaken him. You cannot latch on to Mercy and be abandoned. Whenever you leverage on this Mercy, you will always experience a turnaround.

That situation will not kill you! It will be turned around for His glory because of God’s Mercy. So, stop focusing on your errors. And start focusing on the Mercy of God.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Living In Divine Health

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 7 February 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Living In Divine Health

TOPIC: Living In Divine Health

SCRIPTURE: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To live in Divine health is to be whole by God’s Power.

It has been confirmed that understanding is key to living an outstanding life. What you know is key to how you live. Therefore, to live an outstanding life of Divine health, there is a need to know what Divine health is all about.

Now, what is Divine health?

  1. Divine health is living in a state of health or wholeness by the Power of God (3 John 2).
When we say a person lives in Divine health, it means he lives in a state of health or wholeness by the Power of God. To live in Divine health is to be whole by God’s Power.
  2. Divine health is living free of sickness by the Power of God (3 John 2). When you live in Divine health, sicknesses may exist around you but you are free from them. To live in Divine health means, you are free, by the Power of God, from different sicknesses and diseases that affect other people.
  3. Divine health is living or walking in dominion over satanic afflictions by the Power of God (Matthew 16:18, 3 John 2).
To live in Divine health is to live or walk in dominion over satanic afflictions by the Power of God. This means, if a person is said to be in health, such person is in dominion over demonic forces of afflictions. He may drink a deadly thing but it would not harm or hurt him (Matthew 16:18). If he accidentally stumbles into negative situations in life, it shall not harm or hurt him.

Beloved, by the prophetic and apostolic mantle of fire upon my life, I decree that Divine health is your portion and the portion of your family members from today henceforth, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: To live in Divine health is to be whole by God’s Power.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to live in health and wholeness.
  2. Reject every form of affliction in your life and make demands on the healing Power of God.

PRAYER: Lord, I make demands on Your Healing Power to cure every sickness and affliction in my life. I ask for the grace to perpetually live in Divine health, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: UNDERSTANDING DIVINE HEALTH.

QUOTE: One revelation can handle your afflictions. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Deuteronomy 23-26.

REFLECTION: Kenneth Copeland says, “You are not a sick person trying to get healed. You are a healed person, the devil is trying to make sick” The meaning is, Divine health is the normal status of the child of God.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: Every trace of sickness or affliction in your life be destroyed now in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Path To True Fulfilment

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 7 February 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Path To True Fulfilment

TOPIC: Path To True Fulfilment

TEXT: Nehemiah 8:9-18 (KJV)

9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the Lord your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.

10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

11 So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.

12 And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.

13 And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.

14 And they found written in the law which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:

15 And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.

16 So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.

17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

KEY VERSE: “And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.” – (Nehemiah 8:17)

MESSAGE:

One of the most difficult discoveries to make in life is our true selves. Some people have been applauded for discoveries they have made in time past, yet they remain ignorant of who they really are. Many people pass through this earth without actually discovering themselves. Someone remarks that the graveyard is littered with men who never bothered to empty themselves of their greatness before departing to the great beyond.

The children of Israel had been carrying on, ignorant of God’s expectation of them. They had not discovered themselves. But as soon as they saw what they were in His sight after listening to the law distinctly read out to them, they broke down in tears and serious agony. Nehemiah, Ezra, the Levites, the scribes and others who taught the people reassured them of God’s loving-kindness to forgive. They urged the people to rather rejoice, go home, cook, eat and make merry with their neighbours.

The chief of the fathers and other elders went back to Ezra for more understanding of the law. They found out they had been living in ignorance of the word of God. The Lord had commanded the children of Israel to dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month. It was after they obeyed the commandment that they began to enjoy “great gladness”. Suddenly, the people who wept profusely on hearing the law of God broke into great joy, merriment and gladness.

It is a challenge to us to discover ourselves. Ask yourself, what is God’s purpose for my life? This discovery will usher in purposeful living, true and lasting joy.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Purposeful walk makes success inevitable.

TREM Devotional – Focus On The Mercy Of God

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 6 February 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Focus On The Mercy Of God

TOPIC: Focus On The Mercy Of God

“An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy” Psalms 33:17-18 (KJV)

The saints of old understood the power of Mercy. When you check the scriptures, you will notice that each time God’s people wanted to do something mighty, they will sing praises to the Lord. Usually, they sang this song: “For he is good; for His mercy endureth forever…”(2 Chronicles 5:13 KJV). Why that song? I have always asked myself because each time they sang it something changed. Each time they sang it, something exploded in the realm of the spirit.

When the Ark of the Lord was brought into the Temple by King Solomon, they sang the song, “… then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;” (2 Chronicles 5:13). The glory of God took over as the people of God focused on His Mercy.

During the dedication of Solomon’s Temple, the fire of God came down from heaven and the glory of the Lord took over. And the people of God sang the same song. “And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth forever.” (2 Chronicles 7:3 KJV)

According to the account in the book of 2 Chronicles 20, when Jehoshaphat was trapped, they sang the same song. And the Lord arose and fought on their behalf. “And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.” (2 Chronicles 20:22 KJV)

Every time believers leverage on God’s Mercy, incredible things take place. Hopeless situations are turned around.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Being A Generational Blessing

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 6 February 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Being A Generational Blessing

TOPIC: Being A Generational Blessing

SCRIPTURE: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: Genesis 12:2.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One secret of increase is release.

Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that one key to being a generational blessing is to be a blessing to people.

One secret of increase is release. The secret is, when you need something the most that is when you give the most. Those who are waiting for when they will have enough before they can give are waiting too long. Sacrifice is giving when you are in need. And when God sees sacrifice, the fire falls.

We see a secret of Abraham’s blessing in Genesis 14:14. Abraham raised children whom he did not biologically give birth to. He was raising them and God gave him both resources and his own children of promise.

Job gave us the secret of his blessing and abundance.
Job 29:11-12 says:
When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me: Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.

If you want to breathe in, you must breathe out. To take in oxygen, you must release carbon dioxide. Until you are ready to release, you are not yet ready to receive.

Sometime back, during a call for sacrifice for Foundation Seed in Church, I gave massively and that month, I also received massively. The following month, I did not give as much as I gave in the Foundational Seed because there was no call for Foundational Seed. And the harvest I was to get also did not come.

Beloved, make up your mind to release to God and be a blessing to people.

REMEMBER THIS: One secret of increase is release.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Reject every spell of stinginess.
  2. Open your heart and hand to release both to God and to people so you can connect the Blessings of God.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for showing me the secret of being a generational Blessing. I receive the grace to release, both towards You and towards people, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: WISDOM FOR SUPERNATURAL FINANCES (PART 1).

QUOTE: The overflow is a Divinely commanded blessing or harvest. It is blessing under pressure – the blessing that looks for you instead of you looking for it. Culled from “21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Deuteronomy 19-22

REFLECTION: Giving is living. Those who struggle only to get don’t understand the full meaning of life. No one truly knows the joy of living until they know the joy of giving. Live fully. Live to Give.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The Lord help you, not just to be blessed but to be a blessing to your world in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Confidence In Crisis

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 6 February 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Confidence In Crisis

TOPIC: Confidence In Crisis

TEXT: Psalm 3:1-8 (KJV)

1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

KEY VERSE: “I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about” (Psalm 3:6).

MESSAGE:

One of the worst distressing experienceso anybody can have is that which emanates from the family. Someone said of household enemies: “They know your secrets, strengths and weaknesses as well as your daily routines and always wear mask whenever they want to attack you so that you can’t detect them.” A household enemy is, therefore, the worst kind of enemy.

King David was a victim of household enemy. For sure, he was a man of war and was constantly on his toes with regard to battles. But today’s text captures his experience in the fierce battle that ran him out of town, orchestrated by one of his sons, Absalom, who was desperate to take over the throne from him.

However, David knew the secret of lasting victory – absolute faith in the Almighty. He spoke words of faith and encouragement to himself. “I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about…”, he assured himself. In his petition to God, he recalled His past gracious interventions in his life – how God smote all his enemies “upon the cheek bone” – and he ascribed deliverance only to God.

Like David, you may be facing dire challenges. Your enemies and challenges may have sprung from unexpected sources. They may be on the increase. Do not fret. Remember God’s never failing promises and hold on to them. Recall His past interventions in your life and pour out your petitions to Him. He will never fail you. “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him” (Isaiah 59:19).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If you’re a friend of God, it doesn’t matter who your enemy is.

You are my source, Strong tower
I run to you, and I am safe
You are my peace, within the storm
I run to you, and I am safe

Safe Within your arms oh lord
You surround me with your love
No one else can take your place
I run to you, and i am safe

You are my hope, for tomorrow

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Engaging The Spirit Of God To Experience The Glory

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 4 February 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Engaging The Spirit Of God To Experience The Glory

TOPIC: Engaging The Spirit Of God To Experience The Glory

SCRIPTURE: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: People who know how to walk and move in the Spirit also know how to explode in the Glory of God.

It has been established that men of the Spirit are men of Glory. People who know how to walk and move in the Spirit also know how to explode in the Glory of God.

The question is, how do we engage the Spirit of God in order to explode in the Glory of God?
i. By Praying in the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 14:18 says:
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
Apostle Paul was a man who exploded in the Glory of God. He walked in the realm of the Glory more than any other person in his generation.

His secret of walking in the Glory of God was praying in the Spirit. He prayed in tongues more than any other person (1 Corinthians 14:18). This means, if you put all the Christians in the Corinthian Church together, Paul prayed in the Spirit more than all of them. So, you engage the Spirit of Glory by praying in the Spirit.

ii. By worshipping in the Spirit
Apart from praying in the Spirit, another way to engage the Spirit of Glory is by worshipping in the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18-20).

You can be led to sing spiritual songs at times. These are songs that are wordless or without words but have deep spiritual meanings or singing in the language of the Spirit. When you sing or worship in the Spirit, you engage the Glory of God.

REMEMBER THIS: People who know how to walk and move in the Spirit also know how to explode in the Glory of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make praying in the Spirit your regular practice.
  2. Sing spiritual songs or worship in the Spirit always.

PRAYER: Help me Lord to engage the Spirit and experience Your Glory. I receive the grace to pray and worship in the Spirit always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE SPIRIT OF GLORY.

QUOTE: The glory of God follows the pattern of God. Culled from “MAKING FULL PROOF OF MINISTRY” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Deuteronomy 11-14.

REFLECTION: It is confirmed that the Spirit of God is the Spirit of Glory. Hence, depth in the Spirit equals depth in Glory. In case you are interested in greater depths of Glory, then you must deepen your walk in the Spirit.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The Lord in this season usher you into deeper dimensions of the knowledge both of Himself and of His Word in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities.
