Chorus:
Have you ever been there?
Have you ever lived there?
Where the meek draw strength
Here the saints draw from
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
(2x)

Verse 1:
Somewhere beyond the sky, like the birds we’ll gathe
Only the tough will fly, above the waves and gather
They who held the sun, on their knees they went through all
Those who fought their way, holding onto faith the wait the promise
Ehh ehh ehhh

Verse 2:
Can you imagine the sight?
Oh.. what a beauty
Peacefully all will slide, oh yes we made it
The angels will stare jealously
They don’t know what it feels like
Creation will stand so amazed

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – The Lord’s Commendation Is The Best

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Thursday, February 3, 2022  | The Lord’s Commendation Is The Best

Topic: The Lord’s Commendation Is The Best

Date: Thursday, February 3, 2022

Read: 2 Corinthians 10:18

MEMORISE: Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips (Proverbs 27:2)

EXPOSITION

In any commendation service, whether in honour of a living or dead person, it is unconventional for the one being commended to say things about himself aside the vote of thanks. Similarly, you don’t write recommendation or attestation for yourself. Someone else has to do that on your behalf. The text of today’s Living Water dose warns us against self-commendation, self-glorification, or singing the supposed praise of oneself. Many people have developed the habit of blowing their own trumpets by themselves, no thanks to the emergence of social media, where you can even call yourself what you are not, and can never be. For instance, some people have formed the habit of taking selfies with cars and mansions they don’t own, and sending such on social media, as if they own such cars or mansions. What a self-deceit! May God deliver as many as are being beguiled by such an act.

Unfortunately, many people have formed the habit of singing their own praises. Even what should have been private about them, they make unnecessarily public, although with dire consequences, whether they know or acknowledge it, or not. It is wisdom to follow the biblical injunction, ‘Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth’.

Only few people would hear and celebrate you when you blow your own trumpet yourself, and human celebration don’t last. However, when God blows it for you, the whole world cannot but hear it and celebrate you endlessly. Will you let God? For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends. The Lord’s commendation is the best. Commending yourself can’t take you anywhere. Choose God’s commendation over and against self-commendation.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, help me not to be too fond of myself, and deliver me from the power of pride, before it ruins me.

2. Lord, appropriately commend and recommend me for the right promotion, in line with Your purpose for me.

3. Pray for CAC Babalola Region, our father in the Lord, the Superintendent, and its officers at the various levels, as led by the Spirit of God.

TREM Devotional – Mercy Is Looking For You

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 3 February 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Mercy Is Looking For You

TOPIC: Mercy Is Looking For You

“And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.” – 2 Samuel 9:3 (KJV)

David became the king of Israel as God had ordained. But before then, he had cut a covenant with Jonathan. A covenant that will last for generations. A covenant that will ensure that he preserves the genealogy of Jonathan and Saul. And so, when he came on board, he asked: “……Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” (2 Samuel 9:1 KJV)

Jonathan had a son called Mephibosheth and he had been abandoned in a place called Lodebar. A place where there is no vision, no ambition, and nothing to look forward to. He abandoned and left for dead, yet Mercy was looking for him. I want you to know that Mercy is looking for you. Mercy is reaching out to you in your present condition. I don’t know who lied to you. I don’t know who has told you that it is over. But I want you to know that Mercy is looking for you to do you good and to turn things around in your favour.

David decided to show kindness unto Mephibosheth, not because he deserved it, but because of his covenant with Jonathan. Because of the covenant, Mercy shall continually speak on your behalf.

King David was duly informed that Mephibosheth was lame. In other words, he didn’t qualify. He has weaknesses and failures. Unknown to Ziba, when Mercy reaches out, it overrules all the weaknesses and all the mistakes. And that’s what the Lord is doing for you. His Mercy turns things around in your situations. They thought David will change his mind because of his lameness. But king David sent them to fetch him out of Lodebar.

Beloved, I don’t care what mess you are in. Mercy has spoken! And when Mercy speaks, every other thing is silenced. The Mercy of God will give you what you do not deserve. Mercy will look for you. Mercy will call your name!

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Proofs Of Faith

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 3 February 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Proofs Of Faith

TOPIC: The Proofs Of Faith

SCRIPTURE: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Hebrews 11:1-2.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot be in faith and be without reality.

It has been confirmed that faith is critical to the Christian life. Faith is the life of a child of God. The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). This means, the just can die without faith.

In our study today, we shall look at the proofs of faith.
i. You cannot be in faith and be without proofs; you cannot be in faith and be without evidence
The Scripture makes it clear that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

This means, you cannot be in faith and be without proofs. You cannot be in faith and be without evidence. The lifestyle of faith must attract evidence or proofs in the life of a Christian.

ii. Faith is what makes the Word of God profitable
Hebrews 4:2 says:
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

The Word of God is profitable when it is mixed with faith. Faith makes the Word of God profitable. It is possible to have religion without reality but you cannot have faith without reality.

There are religious people that are being mocked by people because they do not live the life of faith that should produce profits. People mock them and say, “They go to church all the time but there is nothing to show for it”.

Even people who are their family members look down on them because there is no reality or evidence of faith in their lives. The truth is, you cannot be in faith and be without reality.

REMEMBER THIS: You cannot be in faith and be without reality.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to live with the evidence or proofs of faith.
  2. Ask God to give you proofs of your faith in Him.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask that You give me proofs and evidences of my faith in You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE PROFITABILITY OF FAITH.

QUOTE: There is a difference between faith and foolishness. Faith says, “Because the Word of God says I should go, I am going.” Foolishness says, “I do not have any peace; I do not feel any leading to go, but I have to go, because I am a believer.”
Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Deuteronomy 7-10.

REFLECTION: To know God and His Word is to have faith. And to have faith is to have evidence or reality. Hence, if you need more evidence or reality in your life, you must deepen your knowledge of God and His Word.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The Lord usher you into dimension of both the knowledge of Him and His Word that would explode your evidence in this season in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Victorious But On Guard

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 3 February 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Victorious But On Guard

TOPIC: Victorious But On Guard

TEXT: Nehemiah 7:1-4 (KJV)

1 Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

2 That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.

3 And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.

4 Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.

KEY VERSE: “And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.” – (Nehemiah 7:3)

MESSAGE:

The general tendency after a major victory or breakthrough is to feel relaxed and let down the guard. The feeling is to think that the enemy has been vanquished and now is the time to unbuckle the armour and rest. But experience has shown that each victory opens up a new form of warfare and attracts new kinds of foes. Those who failed to learn this all-important lesson of life have suffered the most catastrophic defeat, even after victory.

Nehemiah understood this very well. After the walls of Jerusalem were finished, he saw the need to still fortify security around the city and keep safety measures. Also, sentries (watchmen) were to be placed to watch over every house. Care must be taken not to concede defeat after victory.

Every victory, success or achievement in life demands greater level of watchfulness. It is at such point that one becomes most vulnerable and susceptible to attacks and fall. Your victory now will infuriate the enemy and make him more determined to bring about your defeat and downfall. Also, your new success and achievement will stir up the envy and jealousy of others who will become new set of foes determined to see your downfall.

This is not meant to strike fear into your life or make you dread success. It is rather to help you know how to guard your success so that it will remain enduring and permanent. Hymn writer, Charlotte Elliott, in her song, ‘Christian Seek Not Yet Repose’ advises the warrior to ‘Watch and pray’

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Still keep your guard!

TREM Devotional – There Is No Fear In Love

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 2 February 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – There Is No Fear In Love

TOPIC: There Is No Fear In Love

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 (KJV)

There is no fear in love! That was what caught my attention when I was studying that verse of the scriptures. That part jumped out of the pages. It jumped out at me and I was asking God: What is this? He said: “Read it again”. There is no fear in love! That is powerful! “Perfect love casteth out fear, because fear has torment…”

Child of God, when you understand the perfect love of God, it eliminates the fear of sickness, disease, disappointment, distress, confusion, and the fear of death. Fear brings torment. If you are fearful, it shows that you have not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

One of the greatest weapons of the devil is fear. The devil introduced this fear at the fall. You see, God’s relationship with Adam has always been very robust and very cordial. They enjoyed themselves. They had fellowship together in the garden. And one of the days, God came as usual. But before He came, Adam had doubted the identity he had with God because he listened to another voice. Adam said with his mouth: “And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?” Genesis 3:10-11 KJV.

So, you see that fear was introduced when Adam doubted who God made him and what God called him. Each time you doubt your identity in God, you will be fearful. But when you receive His love and you constantly see yourself as the beloved of God, there will be no room for fear in your heart.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – A Glorious Home

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 2 February 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: A Glorious Home

TOPIC: A Glorious Home

SCRIPTURE: For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Ephesians 5:23.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A Glorious Home is foundational for a glorious destiny.

It has been confirmed that God wants us to experience, not just His Power, but His Glory in all areas of our lives.

And one area God wants us to experience His Glory is in the Home. Every successful ministry is a product of a successful home. When a person fails in ministry, career or business, one area to look at is the Home.

In our Study today, we shall examine some facts about a Glorious Home.

  1. A Glorious Home is God’s vision for every marriage or home.
God likened the glorious church to the relationship between a man and his wife (Ephesians 5:25-27). A glorious Home is central to God’s agenda for man.
  2. A Glorious Home is foundational for a glorious destiny.
A man or a woman that must have a glorious destiny must first attain a Glorious Home. If a destiny would be glorious, the Home must be glorious.

For instance, if you look at the glorious destiny and impact Kenneth and Gloria Copeland are making today, it is connected to the solidity of their Glorious Home front. In Scriptures, Aquila and Priscilla who were almost inseparable had a powerful destiny because of a glorious home (Acts 18:1-28, Romans 16:3-4).

Beloved, a Glorious Home is foundational for a glorious destiny. To be playing with your marital destiny is to be playing with your life and destiny as a whole.

REMEMBER THIS: A Glorious Home is foundational for a glorious destiny.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to have a glorious Home.
  2. If you are yet to marry, allow God, not your sight or emotions, to guide you in the choice of your life partner.
  3. If you are married, make up your mind to make your home work in accordance with God’s Purpose.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You Make my home glorious. Help me Lord never to miss it in my home front, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE GLORY OF THE HOME.

QUOTE: The spiritual leadership of the home is a non-delegable responsibility. Culled from “FAMILY WISDOM” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Deuteronomy 3-6.

REFLECTION: The basic unit of human body is the cell. The sickness of the cell is the sickness of the body. The basic unit of the society and the church is the home. Is your home a cause of disorder in our world?

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: Godly homes that will honour God in the earth today are being raised. And yours shall be among in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities.

DCLM Daily Manna – Satan Is Conquerable

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 2 February 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Satan Is Conquerable

TOPIC: Satan Is Conquerable

TEXT: Revelation 20:1-15 (KJV)

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

KEY VERSE: “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” – (Revelation 20:10)

MESSAGE:

No matter how long it may seem, evil shall ultimately be defeated and good shall prevail. Adolf Hitler seemed almost unstoppable during the Second World War, as he pushed his evil agenda of wiping out the Jews across Europe. But what appeared unstoppable and unconquerable ended abruptly when he, seeing his obvious defeat and fearing being captured alive, committed suicide.

Our passage today reveals the ultimate defeat and judgment of Satan and the final triumph of righteousness and good. Since creation, he has opposed the cause of God on earth, sponsored and encouraged evil in a seeming unchallengeable manner. But at last, his end is predicted. He will be cast into the lake of fire eventually where he will be in an endless torment with all who served him.

Looking at the way things are today, it appears evildoers are getting the upper hand and becoming bolder and unchallengeable in many places. Truths are being diluted and righteousness mocked and trampled over. This daily increase of evil has weakened the faith of many Christians and made their love to wax cold as predicted by Christ.

This revelation about the final defeat of Satan should be a cheering comfort to all believers. We should be encouraged and strengthened to stand firm in faith and in righteousness because Jesus has defeated Satan who will ultimately be made to suffer eternal punishment for all the wickedness he has done. Therefore, believers can have present victory over his works before the final day of eternal punishment.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Evil and wickedness have an expiry day.

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – Watch Your Allies

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Tuesday, February 1, 2022  | Watch Your Allies

Topic: Watch Your Allies

Date: Tuesday, February 1, 2022 [Happy New Month]

Read: 2 Chronicles 20:31-37

2 Chronicles 20:31-37  And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.

Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.

And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:

And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber.

Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

MEMORISE: But Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because you have allied yourself with Ahaziah, the LORD has destroyed your works.” Then the ships were wrecked, so that they were not able to go to Tarshish (2 Chronicles 20:37)

EXPOSITION

‘He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed’ (Prov. 13:20). God is so much concerned with the type of people His children associate with, because evil company destroys good character (1 Cor. 15:33). Many people are in police custody today, not because they are bad, but because of the kinds of people they mingle with. Who is your friend? You should be selective in the friends you keep. King Jehoshaphat, though righteous on the throne, failed in picking his friends. As a child of God, you must be careful in choosing whom you relate with. Not everybody in church can be your prayer partner. It is suicidal to share your problem with everyone who comes your way, just like that.

The alliance between Jehoshaphat and Ahab nearly led to the former being killed in the war, but for God’s mercy that saved him, probably because he was good (2 Chro. 18:1; 19:3). As if that was not enough, he made the same mistake again, entering into business venture with the godless King Ahaziah. That drew God’s ire on the alliance, destroying their works. It is stupidity to be falling into the same mistake repeatedly.

As a child of God, never you choose friends from among the godless. Can light and darkness be friends? No, of course (2 Cor. 6:14-18). It is risky to enter into any alliance, business, spiritual, etc., with an unbeliever. It is most likely to hit some rocks, given the fact of your religious and spiritual incompatibility, except the believer is willing to compromise. In your dealings, make sure the one you plan dealing with is truly a child of God, not just a church attendee. And in marriage, nothing (NOTHING!) should make you enter into any marriage alliance with an unbeliever. Those who do that regret in the end, whether or not they are trying hard to hide it from the world.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, I refuse to befriend Your enemies; help me, in Jesus’ name.

2. Lord, deliver me from the tendency to love what You hate.

3. Pray for CAC Akinyele Region, our father in the Lord, the Superintendent, and its officers at the various levels, as led by the Spirit of God.
