CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – Watch Your Allies

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Tuesday, February 1, 2022  | Watch Your Allies

Topic: Watch Your Allies

Date: Tuesday, February 1, 2022 [Happy New Month]

Read: 2 Chronicles 20:31-37

2 Chronicles 20:31-37  And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.

Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.

And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:

And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber.

Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

MEMORISE: But Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because you have allied yourself with Ahaziah, the LORD has destroyed your works.” Then the ships were wrecked, so that they were not able to go to Tarshish (2 Chronicles 20:37)

EXPOSITION

‘He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed’ (Prov. 13:20). God is so much concerned with the type of people His children associate with, because evil company destroys good character (1 Cor. 15:33). Many people are in police custody today, not because they are bad, but because of the kinds of people they mingle with. Who is your friend? You should be selective in the friends you keep. King Jehoshaphat, though righteous on the throne, failed in picking his friends. As a child of God, you must be careful in choosing whom you relate with. Not everybody in church can be your prayer partner. It is suicidal to share your problem with everyone who comes your way, just like that.

The alliance between Jehoshaphat and Ahab nearly led to the former being killed in the war, but for God’s mercy that saved him, probably because he was good (2 Chro. 18:1; 19:3). As if that was not enough, he made the same mistake again, entering into business venture with the godless King Ahaziah. That drew God’s ire on the alliance, destroying their works. It is stupidity to be falling into the same mistake repeatedly.

As a child of God, never you choose friends from among the godless. Can light and darkness be friends? No, of course (2 Cor. 6:14-18). It is risky to enter into any alliance, business, spiritual, etc., with an unbeliever. It is most likely to hit some rocks, given the fact of your religious and spiritual incompatibility, except the believer is willing to compromise. In your dealings, make sure the one you plan dealing with is truly a child of God, not just a church attendee. And in marriage, nothing (NOTHING!) should make you enter into any marriage alliance with an unbeliever. Those who do that regret in the end, whether or not they are trying hard to hide it from the world.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, I refuse to befriend Your enemies; help me, in Jesus’ name.

2. Lord, deliver me from the tendency to love what You hate.

3. Pray for CAC Akinyele Region, our father in the Lord, the Superintendent, and its officers at the various levels, as led by the Spirit of God.

TREM Devotional – God Is Love

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 1 February 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God Is Love

TOPIC: God Is Love

“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth, is born of God, and knoweth God.” 1 John 4:7 (KJV)

God is love! The scripture doesn’t say God has love. No! God is love!

That is who He is! Let it register in your spirit. God manifested His love towards us by sending His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him. “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10 KJV).

You see, many of us don’t understand what love is. We don’t understand the personality of love. So, in this scripture, God is saying: now let me show you what love is. The perfect description of love is what God did for an undeserving and sinful man. This love of God cannot be earned. God’s love is unmerited and undeserved! “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” (1 John 4:11 KJV). This is what God expects the believer to do.

This is the real problem: we have a clientele of people who are trying to express God’s love without first understanding how God loves them. This is impossible. For you to express love, you need a relationship with Him who is in love.

When you appreciate the love that God has bestowed upon you in Christ, then you will be able to extend the same to one another. “Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.” (1 John 4:15 KJV). That is the residence of everyone that is born again. Our residence is God. That is where you live. Your residence is not where you are physical. Wherever you find yourself, anywhere in the world, you are living in God. And if you are in God, then you are in His love because God is love.

Go into this month meditating on the love of God.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Tragedy Of Zero Passion For God

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 1 February 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Tragedy Of Zero Passion For God

TOPIC: The Tragedy Of Zero Passion For God

SCRIPTURE: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. Revelation 3:15.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: People with zero passion for God are neither interested in God nor in Who He is; they are only interested in what He can do for them.

You are welcome to the second month of the Year 2022. In this month, God shall perfect all that concerns you, in Jesus’ Name.

In our world today and even in the church, there are people with little or zero passion for God. People with zero passion for God are neither interested in God nor in Who He is; they are only interested in what He can do for them. That is why, in times of deep worship of God during church services, you could see such people lifting pictures, certificates, business proposals, letters or resumes, for God to bless instead of lifting their hands in worship to God. For such people, the only thing that matters as far as going to church is concerned is the challenge that brought them to church.

It may interest you to know that going to church alone is not a proof of Christianity. Seeking miracles, signs, wonders and breakthroughs is not the essence of Christianity.

Now, of what use is a miracle to someone who was suffering from paralysis, got healed and then walked out of a wheel chair in this world only to walk into hellfire in the afterlife due to a lifestyle of sin? What is the use of miracles like blind eyes opening, marital delays being terminated, crawling careers experiencing supernatural turnaround, persons with HIV/AIDS getting healed etc., if the people who received such miracles on earth ended in hell at the end of their lives?

Beloved, do not let miracles or breakthroughs be the reason for serving God. Seek God for Who He is and not what He can do for you.

REMEMBER THIS: People with zero passion for God are neither interested in God nor in Who He is; they are only interested in what He can do for them.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Avoid the tragedy of zero passion for God.
  2. Seek God for Who He is more than for what He can do for you.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for opening my eyes to see Your Word today. I ask that You deliver me from the plague of zero passion for You. Help me to seek Your Face Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTIANITY.

QUOTE: Passion determines the future. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Numbers 35-Deuteronomy 2

REFLECTION: God does not create man to use him. God created man to worship Him and serve Him. The outflow of worship and service is the Blessing. What is the extent of your worship and service of God?

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The Lord release upon you the fresh passion for the worship and service of God in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. DCLM Daily Manna – Finishing Against Odds

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 1 February 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Finishing Against Odds

TOPIC: The Weapon Of Fear

TEXT: Nehemiah 6:15-19 (KJV)

15 So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.

16 And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.

17 Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters unto Tobiah, and the letters of Tobiah came unto them.

18 For there were many in Judah sworn unto him, because he was the son in law of Shechaniah the son of Arah; and his son Johanan had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of Berechiah.

19 Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.

KEY VERSE: “And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of God.” – (Nehemiah 6:16)

MESSAGE:

There is an abundance of unfinished and abandoned projects in every sphere of life. For each of these projects, there is at least a reason for the abandonment. One frequent reason is opposition from other people who do not want the project to see the light of day.

One historic civil project that was bound to be an abandoned project was the reconstruction of the walls of Jerusalem after Judah’s protracted Babylonian captivity. This project spearheaded and supervised by Nehemiah, suffered incredible oppositions from the enemies of Judah at that time, notably, Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem. These men and their cohorts deployed ridicule, intimidation, confrontation, false accusation and insidiousness to halt the project. They failed. This is because Nehemiah and his team relied on divine support. They displayed uncommon commitment, unity, focus and consecration.

Many noble projects have either been scuttled at conception stage or abandoned midway because of the fear of enemies or opposers. In some cases, it is the crippling fear of failure that has kept some people from executing their God-given project. In the case of Nehemiah, he had every excuse not to actualise the God-given vision. But his vision trumped all his fears.

It may well be that God has laid something in your heart for you to execute – evangelism, Christian service, humanitarian project, career vision or other personal project – that has been stalled by fear. Take a cue from Nehemiah and his team. Prayerfully get started. In no time and to the glory of God, it shall be completed.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Abandoned project is not a good Christian testimony.

TREM Devotional – Dwell In The Secret Place

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 31 January 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Dwell In The Secret Place

TOPIC: Dwell In The Secret Place

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms 91:1 (KJV)

Where is the secret place? The secret place is in the Word. By implication, therefore, when you dwell in the Word, you shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. When you hide in the Word of God, you abide under the shadow of the Most High. Now watch what happens when you dwell in a secret place.

Firstly, because you are hiding in the Word, what will happen is that your confession will change automatically. This is so because you will begin to see God in His Bigness and His Almightiness. This revelation will change what you say. You are no more saying of the devil! Now your language is: “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God in Him will I trust” (Psalms 91:2KJV).

You will no more trust your circumstance because it is subject to change. Then what will happen is that you will begin to function from a position of confident assurance. Surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (Psalms 91:3-4 KJV)

In the Kingdom, we do not say the wrong thing. And this can only be your attitude if you are dwelling in the Word. Look at what the scripture says about the citizens of the Kingdom. “For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us. Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey. And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity” (Isaiah 33:21-24 KJV)

Don’t you ever say you are sick any longer! Don’t you ever say you will die! Don’t you ever say you will be stranded! Don’t you ever say you will be disappointed! Don’t you ever say you will not get married! Don’t you ever say you will not succeed in your business! Don’t you ever say what the devil is saying? The citizens of the Kingdom talk differently. This is why you must choose to dwell in a secret place.

DCLM Daily Manna – The Weapon Of Fear

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 31 January 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Weapon Of Fear

TOPIC: The Weapon Of Fear

TEXT: Isaiah 7:1-9 (KJV)

1 And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.

2 And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.

3 Then said the Lord unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;

4 And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.

5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,

6 Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:

7 Thus saith the Lord God, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.

9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.

KEY VERSE: “And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.” – (Isaiah 7:4)

MESSAGE:

Fear is one of the most potent weapons often used by the devil and his cohorts. Terrorists use it to weaken their targets’ confidence and create cracks in their walls of defence. In war situations, enemies use it to intimidate and weaken their opponents. Those who succumb to fear become easy targets and eventual victims.

King Ahaz of Judah, together with his royal family, was thrown into panic when news got to them that there was a plot to invade Judah by the alliance of the kings of Syria and Israel. Unlike his father, Jotham and grandfather, Uzziah, Ahaz had forsaken God and resorted to wickedness and gross idolatry. He could not obtain His help in the time of trouble. Sin has a weakening effect on sinners and makes them vulnerable. However, for the present danger confronting Jerusalem, God, for the sake of His promise to David and his house, sent Prophet Isaiah to Ahaz to advise and assure him that the plot against Judah would not stand.

“Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted” the Lord said to Ahaz. God referred to the threats of the two enemy nations as “tails of smoking firebrands”. This implies that they were empty and short-lived threats that would soon fizzle away. All that God required of Ahaz and his people was to “believe in the LORD” and “his prophets”. Doing this was the way to be established and prosper (2 Chronicles 20:20).

God’s “fear not” message particularly applies to the saints of God who are often the targets of Satan’s threats. We must not give in to the torment of fear, whatever the situation.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Counter every fearful threat with the written Word.

[Music + Video] Amen – Awipi And Rume

Amen - Awipi And Rume

Renowned music director, Emmanuel Awipi has released a brand new single titled “Amen”, featuring talented vocalist Rume.

The songAmen” is a song that speaks about the faithfulness of God. 2 Corinthians 1 tells us that all the promises of God are Yea and Amen in Christ Jesus. Thus, the song is borne out of the hope for the believer to understand that every prayer they make is answered in Christ.

When we pray through Christ, God has the legal responsibility to answer our prayers. It is for us to get into that place where we call on the name of Jesus; Amen, Amen, it is so because God is Faithful.

“My prayer is that as you listen, the love of Jesus and the grace of God will become real to You and, the promises of God will be assured as it is assured in Christ, The Amen of God” – Awipi

Lyrics: Amen By Awipi And Rume

Healed by stripes,
Purchased by blood,
Jesus, Jesus
Drenched in Your love,
Wrapped in Your grace,
Jesus, Jesus
Your report says I’m free,
And Your promises are mine for the taking,
Your report says I’m free,
Amen, Amen.
Healed by stripes,
Purchased by blood,
Jesus, Oh we love calling on Your name, Jesus
Your report says I’m free,
And Your promises are mine for the taking,
Your report says I’m free,
Amen, Amen.
Your report says I’m free,
And Your promises are mine for the taking,
Your report says I’m free,
Amen, Amen.
It is so, yes it is so
Amen, Amen, Amen,
It is so. Yeah
Amen, Amen, Amen,
It is so. Yeah yeah yeah
Amen, Amen, Amen,
It is so. Uh uuh uh
Amen, Amen, Amen,
It is so. Yes it is, yes it is so!
Amen, Amen, Amen,
It is so. We’re the healed, we’re not the sick, Amen, it is so!
Amen, Amen, Amen,
It is so. There’s prosperity all around us, Amen, it is so!
Amen, Amen, Amen,
It is so. uh uuh
it is so, oh it is so
All Your promises to me, they’re mine for the taking,
Amen, it is so
Whose report will I believe in?
Only Yours, only Yours, uuh uuhh
Amen, Amen, Amen,
It is so.

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – It Is In You

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Friday, January 28, 2022  | It Is In You

Topic: It Is In You

Date: Friday, January 28, 2022

Read: Exodus 31:2-5

MEMORISE: I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well (Psalms 139:14).

EXPOSITION

Man is created with lots of qualities and great potential to make him succeed and be great in life. No one is created without these qualities and potentials. They are in-built, and are to help man. succeed in all areas of life, i.e. to fulfil destiny, the reason God created him. God created no one devoid of potentials. Everyone is fully loaded with them. Yet, very unfortunately, men abound who are yet to discover their potentials, not to talk of making the most of them. No wonder lots of people die unfulfilled, only to go and enrich the grave with their unrealised, unharnessed, unfulfilled potentials.

The Bible records in Exodus 31 that God gave Bazalel and Oholiab the knowledge and skills to do certain (specialised) works in the construction. of the Tabernacle. God’s endowment on Joseph in the strange land of Egypt was unparalleled. The same Yahweh gave uncommon knowledge and wisdom to Daniel, even in a foreign land. All these were given for them to glorify God, benefit others, and in a way, i.e.selflessly profit themselves.

There is greatness in you as it is in every man that has ever lived here on earth. God endows all men with potentials, but only those who discover and deploy them become great. A potential is something that can develop or become actual. Don’t look down on yours; it will make you great one day.

Man’s fall put in him the inclination to do evil (Jer. 17:9; Rom. 3:23).  Man can do the worst things in life because wickedness is inherent in the natural man. Even Christians, sometimes misbehave, because of the manifestation of carnality. Don’t live in denial of the godless tendencies in man, but overpower them with the Spirit of God in you *(Romans 8:6,7)

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Thank you my father for the potentials You put in me
  2. Help me, O Lord, to discover and make good use of the hidden treasures in me.
  3. Pray for those in prison that God should work on personalities and characters, so that they would encounter Him and do away with criminality all of strands.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Kill The Arrival Mentality

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 28 January 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Kill The Arrival Mentality

TOPIC: Kill The Arrival Mentality

SCRIPTURE: Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Arriving too soon is arriving too small. When you reach the peak, you are set for the pit.

Sometime ago, my wife and I travelled to China in connection with the construction of the Glory Dome. This was to ensure that we got the best of materials needed for the construction.

So, in the attempt to maintain quality or standard of materials at a very good cost, we decided to explore a major part of China and in the process, I learnt about China as a country.

Not too long ago, China was struggling as a Third World nation. China was far behind Japan and America in terms of development.

Presently, going by what I saw while in China and the records available, there are countries that cannot be compared to China in terms of development. The economy of China is becoming a threat to the economy of America because of the rapidity of its growth.

The amazing thing is, the President of China told the people of China that every one of them should realize that they are still a Third World nation and that the mentality that they have arrived should not sink into their heads. What a mentality! No wonder they are where they are today.

Beloved, arriving too soon is arriving too small. When you reach the peak, you are set for the pit. The reason for the abortion of several destinies is the decision to conform to premature contentment. It does not matter your current level in life, as long as you are alive, there is still another level you can still attain.

REMEMBER THIS: Arriving too soon is arriving too small. When you reach the peak, you are set for the pit.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to arrive too soon.
  2. Always stretch for more until you achieve your goal in life.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from premature contentment. I receive the grace to always stretch for more, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: POTENTIAL IS NOT ENOUGH.

QUOTE: Where there is premature contentment, there can be no ultimate fulfilment. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Numbers 16-20

REFLECTION: In our journey with God, there is still one more step, one more level, one more realm to access until we see the Master Face to face. Never stop until we see Him.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: May you not leave this world until you become everything that God has in mind for you to become in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities
