CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – The Day Of God’s Power

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Tuesday, December 28, 2021 | Gratefully Display Love To God

Topic: The Day Of God’s Power

Date: Tuesday, December 28, 2021

Read: Psalm 101:1-7

Psalm 101:7 I will sing of mercy and loving-kindness and justice; to You, O Lord, will I sing.

I will behave myself wisely and give heed to the blameless way—O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house in integrity and with a blameless heart.

I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them who turn aside [from the right path]; it shall not grasp hold of me.

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil person or thing.

Whoso privily slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off [from me]; he who has a haughty look and a proud and arrogant heart I cannot and I will not tolerate.

My eyes shall [look with favor] upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks blamelessly, he shall minister to me.

He who works deceit shall not dwell in my house; he who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.

MEMORISE:

Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the morning; to You [will spring forth] Your young men, who are as the dew. (Psalms 110:3)

EXPOSITION

An author once said, “Nothing can stop a vision whose time has come.” Life can be filled with delays and disappointments, but when the time, or season for a thing is ripe, nothing can stop it from happening. The writer of Ecclesiastes remains us that, “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven…” (Eccl. 3v2).

God’s timing is synonymous with His power. When it is time for God to accomplish a thing, He sets His power in motion, and compels every thing to voluntarily work to accomplish His purpose.

Because the time to return from exile was due, God moved the heart of King Cyrus to make a proclamation to free all exiles to return to their land and their God. He did not just stop there, God by His Spirit made Jews willing to return to Jerusalem in spite of the uncertainties to start life all over again (Ezra 1v1-5)

We are in the days of God’s power and the world is at the threshold of the second Coming of the Lord Jesus. Now you should be willing and ready to join the army of fervent and faithful Christians, who God has prepared to bring in the harvest of souls into the kingdom of God.

There is so much to do now and the time is going quickly. The more reason you have to cooperate with God and other believers to bring the kingdom of God to this earth. You cannot resist the move of the spirit by pursuing the vanities of this life. Say yes to God and go to where He sends you.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, I say yes to You, move through, and in me.

2. Lord, reveal Your power in my life and the ministry You have called me into.

3. Lord, let the believers be more willing to cooperate with You to do exploits for You in advancing Your kingdom.

TREM Devotional – You Are In God’s Class

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 28 December 2021 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – You Are In God’s Class

TOPIC: You Are In God’s Class

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12 KJV

As you read the scriptures, you will discover that the Jews were angry with Jesus because He said He was the son of God. They thought: how can a man put himself in God’s class?” (John 10:33). That means all of us who call God, ‘Father’, are qualified to be stoned by the Jews. Jesus said: “I am His son; but as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.”

This understanding is what gives you an assurance that God is for you and that He will favour you under any circumstance. No matter what the devil brings against you, it can never defeat you. You can never fail. You need to be established in this truth. To be established means to stand firm, steadfast and sure. It means to be certain, rooted and grounded. To be established in this truth means nothing moves you; others can be moved but not you.

Righteousness says that God is for you. And if God is for you no one can be against you. It means that you win all the time. It is an understanding that tells you that there is no more condemnation to you because you are in Christ Jesus. You have been discharged and acquitted by the Supreme Court of heaven and there is no appeal from anyone. That means nothing can hold you in bondage.

You have been discharged by the court of heaven. Who can now condemn you? Sin cannot condemn you! Sickness will not condemn you! Disease will not condemn you! God has already written your conclusion! Your conclusion is already determined because the moment it went out of His mouth, it was concluded. Take the victory that belongs to you; it is already yours.

DCLM Daily Manna – Sobriety In Celebration

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 28 December 2021 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Sobriety In Celebration

TOPIC: Sobriety In Celebration

TEXT: Isaiah 25:1-12 (KJV)

1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.

4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

6 And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the Lord rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

KEY VERSE: “O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” – (Isaiah 25:1)

MESSAGE:

Modern man gets caught up in a wild rat race and festivities during the days and weeks leading to the close of the year. There is massive shopping and a lot of travels for social and business activities. As he is boxed into all these engagements, man has little time to look back and reflect on the goodness of God on his life so that he can sing songs of gratitude to honour the Creator who has seen him through the year.

Prophet Isaiah did not fall into the category of people who forget God after a victory. He broke into a song of celebration to honour the love of God. After the Lord had delivered Judah from the captivity of the enemy, the prophet looked back and discovered that the Lord he served had been “a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall”.

We must also learn from this messianic prophet that the time of celebration at the point of victory or as we mark the end of the year should not be a period of abandonment to worldly pleasures and carnivals that pull us from the presence of God. The heaven-bound believer must acknowledge that these are days we should be closer to God’s holiness to mark us out distinctly from the multitudes who give in to the demands of the flesh.

The Bible predicted that in the last days, “men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy…” (2 Timothy 3:2,3). God is not expecting the sincere Christian to be among this madding crowd fulfilling the apocalyptic prophecy.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Celebrate reasonably!

I believe in God
His word will never change
His plans will find expression
This is my confidence

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Sunday, December 26, 2021 | Gratefully Display Love To God

Topic: Gratefully Display Love To God

Date: Sunday, December 26, 2021 – Boxing Day

Read: Luke 7:36-50

Luke 7:36-50  And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.

And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

MEMORISE:

We love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19)

EXPOSITION

One important principle of the kingdom of God is that the greater the forgiveness you get from God, the greater the love you display to Him in return (Luke 7:41-43). In today’s text, Jesus narrates a parable of contrast between two debtors, the amount of debts they owe, the forgiveness of their debts, and their response to the forgiveness from the creditor. The two debtors are referred to in Simon and the sinful woman. Simon’s failure to give Jesus better hospitality and the woman’s expression of love and devotion to Jesus is contrasted in the parable.

In applying this principle, Jesus shows that one who realises the depth of his own sin, and the greatness of God’s forgiveness and mercy, must love as this woman does (vv. 44-47). When you come to God with the load of your sin, He offers you the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9). Thereafter, He expects you to reciprocate this kind gesture by loving Him in return (Deut. 6:3-5) and show the love of Christ to other people, even as you present gifts to them on this Boxing Day.

What is expected of you after salvation is to sit yourself down, recapitulate your sinful past life, and ponder upon what God does for you. Then, you will know how to express your love to Him in return to His unfailing love toward you. You can express your love to God by praising Him everyday, submitting all your totality to Him, and keeping all His commands. Always show to God that you love Him for the salvation of your soul (Eph. 2:1-6).

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, I thank You for the salvation of my soul.

2. Father, forgive me of my attitude of ingratitude.

3. Father, open the mind of all Your children and cause them to always show gratitude to You.

TREM Devotional – What Are You Hearing?

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 26 December 2021 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – What Are You Hearing?

TOPIC: What Are You Hearing?

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 KJV

The water that sinks a ship is not the water that is hitting it outside, but the water that comes in. Christians contemplate suicide not because they don’t have their desires yet. It’s not even because they don’t know where their life is drifting to. The problem is determined by what you are hearing.

What are you hearing? How you survive is predicated on what you have been hearing. You cannot afford to stop hearing the Word of God. Stay in the place where God has planted you and keep hearing the Word. Stop jumping from place to place, following the crowd and saying it is happening here or there. Don’t forget that anything that is happening is temporary. So when it is no more happening, do you jump to another place? This attitude cannot create stability in you. It is the Word that will give you stability through what you are hearing.

What we need is the gospel of Grace because that is what removes our sins and gives us access and peace with God. In Acts 14: 8-10, the Bible gives the account of a certain man at Lystra, who had been a cripple from his mother’s womb. When he heard Paul preach, he received faith to be healed and when Paul perceived that he had faith to be healed, he prayed for him and he received his healing. Faith comes by hearing not having heard.

This generation ought to be the type that should be operating in the most powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit because the Bible says the glory of the latter day shall be better than the former. However, the deception is that the current generation finds it difficult to sit down to hear the Word. The technology we have today is to enhance and accelerate our rate of hearing, not for gossip. Always remember, the Word of God keeps you alive and makes you a firebrand. A fly does not perch on a hot pot. Faith comes by hearing what the Bible says.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Pulling Force Of The Anointing

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 26 December 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Pulling Force Of The Anointing

TOPIC: The Pulling Force Of The Anointing

To be anointed is to be uplifted; it is to be upgraded.

SCRIPTURE: And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon. 1 Kings 1:39

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be anointed is to be uplifted; it is to be upgraded.

The anointing is an asset that everyone who wants to fulfil destiny should desire in life. It is what makes a person different from others. When the anointing comes upon a person, it ushers him into a dimension that is beyond his wisdom, talent or education.

Today, we are looking at one of the powers of the anointing: The anointing pulls lives and destinies up.

The anointing is a lift; it has lifting power. The anointing pulls a person up to the place where he/she rightfully belongs. When the anointing of the Lord comes upon you, it pulls you up.

For instance, a person who is meant to walk in healing or deliverance anointing may be afflicted today but when the anointing comes upon him, it will pull him to the realm of being used by God to heal and deliver the afflicted. To be anointed is to be uplifted; it is to be upgraded.

There is usually a drastic shift that a person experiences as a result of the anointing. The anointing can make a gate man to become a prime minister, a prisoner to become a president. Solomon, a product of an illicit relationship became the king of Israel by virtue of the anointing. The reality is, what connection or wisdom cannot do, the anointing can.

Beloved, refuse the life of struggle; press into God with all the passion you possess, and you will be shocked at what God will turn you into by virtue of the anointing.

Remember this: To be anointed is to be uplifted; it is to be upgraded.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

  1. Press into God at the place of prayer and worship.
  2. Uphold righteousness in all your dealings.
  3. Pray in the Spirit abundantly.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: ANOINTED TO REIGN

PRAYER: Lord, lay Your Hands on me, and shift me into the realm You want me to be in life and destiny. Help me to impact my generation by the anointing, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Revelations 5-7

QUOTE: You don’t know who you are until you spend time with God. Culled from GO IN THIS THY MIGHT by Dr Paul Enenche.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: That oil that will shift you to the next realm of influence be released unto you in Jesus’ Name.

REFLECTION: Oil is reason for shining. Fresh Oil is fresh shining. When you run out of oil, you run out of relevance.

DCLM Daily Manna – Look And Live

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 26 December 2021 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Look And Live

TOPIC: Look And Live

TEXT: Hebrews 12:1-4 (KJV)

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

KEY VERSE: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” – (Hebrews 12:2)

MESSAGE:

The disciples of Jesus were rowing through the sea in a dark night. Suddenly, there appeared a figure walking and coming to them on water. “It must be a ghost”, they thought and cried out for fear as the figure came nearer. But it was not a ghost. It was the beloved Master. Then impulsively Peter spoke out, requesting to go to Him on the water. And the Lord told him to come. Peter came out of the boat and walked on water to meet the Lord. But when he saw the boisterous wind, he became afraid and started to sink. But he looked to the Lord who helped him up and back to the boat.

The “cloud of witnesses” in our study relates to the heroes of faith in chapter eleven who, in spite of the great challenges they encountered during their pilgrimage on earth, overcame by their resolute faith in God and His word. The believers are therefore called to lay aside every weight and all besetting sin and run the Christian race with perseverance, looking unto Christ as the perfect Model and Example. As He endured the contradictions of sinners against Himself, so must the believer make up his mind not to faint or be weary as the heavenly race continues.

Christ is the epicentre of the Christian faith and profession. There are many reasons every child of God must make Christ his focus at all times. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. There is no salvation in any other name except in His. Faith in His name bring complete wholeness (Acts 3:16). Without Him we can do nothing. Whatever we do in words and deeds must be done through His name. He has gone to prepare heaven for us, with the promise of coming back to take us there. What a great and blessed hope the believers have in Christ!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Looking unto Jesus prevents us from sinking.

[Music + Lyrics] Take Your Place – Thonian Wek

Take Your Place - Thonian Wek

When was the last time you heard a banging Gospel reggae song that is groovy and soothing at the same time? Those are some of the qualities of the debut single “Take Your Place” by Malaysian-based Nigerian Christian music recording artist Thonian Wek.

Take Your Place is a song dedicated to the Almighty and marks a befitting entry tune for Thonian Wek whose journey into music was always going to happen according to the singer’s admission.

Take Your Place is a song about a Christian’s longing to commune with the Father; ” Lord as we have gathered here, we please for Your holy presence…”. The lyrics maintain this stance throughout the song as Thonian Wek takes the listener deeper into the realms of fellowship. A very strong debut offering in every sense.

The song is written and composed by Thonian Wek while the production was handled by Newman Spring Records.

Take Your Place is also the first single off Thonian Week’s debut album; Jesus My Pedigree which drops very early in 2022. It promises to be an exciting body of work.

Lyrics: Take Your Place By Thonian Wek

Verse 1
Lord as we have gathered here
We plead for your holy presence
As we bow and knees and sing
We want to smell your fragrance
And we bow our heads to you
As we lift up holy hands
We cry aloud oh Lord
Let your glory feel the earth
We’re here to worship just with you Lord our maker
Cuz where there brethren gather Lord
You’re there in their mist

Chorus
So have your way
Holy ghost we surrender..
Take your place
Jesus take all over ..
(Repeat 3×)

Verse 2
When you hear our voice
Spirit come with mighty auntion
Fill us up oh God
With your power and your word..
Receive this worship Lord
From your daughters and your sons
Holy master we sing to you from a holy ground
Endue us Lord as we speak in tongues
Abba Father
Coz where the brethren gather Lord
You’re there in their mist

Then Repeat Chorus as many time

MEMORISE: Who says of Cyrus, “He is My shepherd, and he shall perform all My pleasure, saying to Jerusalem, “You shall be built,” and to the temple, “Your foundation shall be laid” (isaiah 44:28)

EXPOSITION

The book of Ezra is the story of Israelites restoration from exile of Babylon to Jerusalem, with the task to rebuild the temple. From the time the Jews were carried into captivity to Babylon, by King Nebuchadnezzar and the proclamation of King Cyrus to return to Jerusalem, was a period of about 70 years, according to Prophet Jeremiah.

The verdict of King Cyrus did not just happen by chance. It is in line with God’s divine timing for the liberation of His people. Though Cyrus made the decree, but it was God who moved his heart to do just that. Nothing happens to God’s people by accident. The exodus from Egypt after 430 years of stay, the birth of Jesus Christ being commemorated on this day, which is the christmas Day all over the world, after 700 years of prophecy by prophet Isaiah, and the apostolic advent and the call of Ayo Babalola for this generation are not products of chance (lsaiah 9). God is at work. God works with His time (Jer. 29:10; Ezra 1:1-5).

God works with His own timing and not ours. In His time, He gave answers to prayers (1 Sam. 1:20). Waiting upon the Lord is more than fasting and prayer, it goes on to waiting patiently on God until He chooses to grant our desire (Psalm 121). When it pleases God to set the Jews free from captivity of Babylon, He made Cyrus to conquer the almighty Babylonia empire, and in the same year of the conquest, he made the decree to set the Jews free to return home. God owns the timetable of the world, yours inclusive.

PRAYER POINTS

1. I have waited upon You Lord, let me not be put to shame.

2. Oh Lord God of time and season, let my glorious season come.

3. Deliver me from all the powers that are trying to hold me down.
