Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Ignorance Of God’s Word – A Threat To Destiny Fulfilment

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 13 June 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Ignorance Of God’s Word – A Threat To Destiny Fulfilment

TOPIC: The Ignorance Of God’s Word – A Threat To Destiny Fulfilment

Your greatest strength is your light and your greatest threat is your ignorance.

SCRIPTURE: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge… Hosea 4:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your greatest strength is your light and your greatest threat is your ignorance.

In our previous studies, using the lives of Adam and Eve, we have explored some pitfalls that led to the crash of their destiny. This is so we can avoid them.

And today, we are looking at yet another destiny-hindering factor which is the ignorance of the Word of God. This is another pitfall to avoid.

If you look at the conversation between Eve and the devil, there was a lot of ignorance manifested by Eve.

Genesis 3:2-3 says: And the woman said…But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it….

Was that what God said? No! “Touch” was not mentioned at all.

Genesis 2:15 says:

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Now, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was inside the Garden. It was part of the trees to be dressed too. If you don’t touch it, how do you dress it? But she didn’t know the Word.

The Bible says:

…Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it (Genesis 2:16-17). That is, you can dress it but don’t eat it.

The problem is, many people carry the Bible but they don’t understand what the Bible carries. Refuse to be such kind of Christian.

Beloved, your greatest strength is your light and your greatest threat is your ignorance. Study and understand God’s Word and your destiny shall not be hindered or corrupted in the Name of Jesus.

Remember this: Your greatest strength is your light and your greatest threat is your ignorance.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make demands on the spirit of understanding upon your life.
  2. Whenever you study the scripture, ask God to unveil the Voice behind the verses of the scripture to you.
  3. Refuse to think over the devil’s suggestions. Rebuke him by the Word.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: AVOIDING THE CRASH OF DESTINY

PRAYER: O Lord, I receive the grace to understand Your Word. Open my eyes to behold the light in Your Word and let the light swallow up every form of darkness around my life and destiny, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Psalm 106-108

QUOTE: Nothing disarms darkness like light. Culled from, “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

REFLECTION: Miseducation, at times, can be worse than no education. Misinformation, at times, can do more harm than no information. Don’t know things half way. Know things thoroughly. Know what you know and trust God to help you know what you don’t know. Eve knew what God said but not perfectly.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The Lord cause you to know those things you need to know that you don’t yet know in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities

DCLM Daily Manna – Love For The Prodigal

DCLM Daily Manna

DCLM Daily Manna 13 June 2021 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Love For The Prodigal

TOPIC: Love For The Prodigal

TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 2:1-11

1 But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.

2 For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?

3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.

6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.

7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.

8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.

9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.

10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;

11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

KEY VERSE: “So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.” – (2 Corinthians 2:7)

MESSAGE:

In his book, The Preaching Event, John Claypool tells a story of identical twin brothers who ran a shop together. One day, a man came in to make a small purchase and paid for it with a dollar. The brother who made the sale placed the dollar on top of the cash register. He then walked the customer to the door to say goodbye. When he returned, the dollar bill was gone; his twin brother denied taking it. The matter led to a serious dispute that split the business. They put a partition right down the middle of the building and made it into two stores. They thereafter refused to speak to each other for the next 20 years. One day, a stranger entered one of the two stores and confessed that he took the money back then. He came to make restitution upon his conversion to Christ. With the confession, the two brothers reconciled and apologised to each other amidst tears. Healing came with reconciliation because of that stranger’s love for Christ.

Paul, in this passage spoke of how to relate with people who commit sin. He had previously written to give guidelines on how such a person should be handled so as to serve as deterrent to other members of the Church. The man was placed on discipline with withdrawal of fellowship towards him. But he emphasised here how justice should be tempered with mercy towards the repentant backslider. Brethren were encouraged to extend the hand of fellowship to the repentant backslider once more.

Backsliding hurts the backslider as well as the Church. The Church should not condone wrongdoings, no matter how influential such a person may be. But at the same time, we must not abandon the prodigal. Once there is genuine repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation should be automatic. That is the way of the Cross and that is the way we must follow.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Help a backslider back into fellowship.

[Video] Psalms 20, When We Call – Joyce Ochelle

Psalms 20, When We Call - Joyce Ochelle

Joyce Ochelle is a Nigerian/British Gospel Singer and Songwriter, also a Worship Minister who now resides in the United Kingdom with her family.

She began singing when she was a child, she sang so much that her Mother would constantly remind her whenever they were in public transport that she should reduce her singing.

As a very young teenager, Joyce began Ministering Live on the main Altar of her then local Church – Living Faith Church Durunmi Abuja Nigeria to thousands of people.

While at the University in Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria, Joyce joined the Living Faith Church Choir Makurdi where she served for years as one of the Worship Leaders.

Joyce moved to the UK in 2008. She has maintained her life of Worship till present, she has been a passionate Worship Leader at every Church she has attended. She currently conducts the children and adult Choir Ministrations in her local RCCG Church in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. She is also currently an Executive of the Women Fellowship as well as a member of the Choir Executive in her local Church.

Joyce released her debut Single titled “Psalm 20, When We Call” in June 2021. The release of the song is a miracle – as Joyce describes it. This is because Joyce’s only son has a diagnosis of Severe Autistic Spectrum Disorder and severe developmental delay amongst other things, this makes daily living very tedious for Joyce and her family, hence she was hesitant to add the work of a Single Production to her family’s already tasking life.

On one such day in the midst of immense stress after a particularly hard day with her son, during night devotion with her family, she sought to read a Scripture that would lift up her Spirits and hope, and so she opened Psalm 20, however instead of reading it, she began to sing it and she sang right through it, that was how the song was birthed.

Joyce’s son who is nearly 8 years of age but does not speak, continuously hummed the sound which she had created from Psalm 20 even after she had forgotten the sound the next day. This prompted her to take the song seriously and thereafter she proceeded to work on the record with the encouragement of her Husband.

The Holy Spirit specifically laid in her heart that she should count her blessings, and know that God hears us when we call, and so prompted her to use her previous mind blowing testimony as the concept of the video.

She holds a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Geography from Benue State University Nigeria and a Masters Degree In Corporate Communication And Public Affairs from The Robert Gordon University Aberdeen, United Kingdom.

She is a source of inspiration to many and she uses her Ministry to spread the word of God and inspire people all around her especially those who see her passionate service for God despite the many challenges with her son.

Her parents Mr and Mrs Idoko are Pastors. She is married to Gabriel Ochelle and together they have two lovely children.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Avoiding The Crash Of Destiny

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 11 June 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Avoiding The Crash Of Destiny

TOPIC: Avoiding The Crash Of Destiny

Isolation is the foundation for temptation.

SCRIPTURE: And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:4-5

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Isolation is the foundation for temptation.

The Book of Genesis Chapter Two and in Verse Three (Genesis 2:3), reveals to us the great fall of the first man, Adam.

Adam and Eve crashed out of God’s Plan and Purpose for them and were consequently driven out of the Garden of Eden. Man went into a long period of frustration for thousands of years until Jesus came to the rescue.

In our study today, we shall look at the pitfalls that led to the crash of the destiny of Adam and Eve so we can avoid them, if we must fulfil the Purpose of God in our lives.

  1. Independent Existence

Adam and Eve, in a way, manifested the craving to be independent of God (Genesis 3:4-5). The devil suggested to them: why don’t you want to be like God? And Eve fell for that temptation. The question is, if you become like God, would you need God again? No!

  1. Separation and Isolation

Adam and Eve also came to the point where they were not together in the Garden. For one reason or the other, Adam was in one part of the Garden, and Eve was in another probably, then satan engaged Eve. Isolation is the foundation for temptation. The strategy of satan has not changed. When he wanted to destroy the destiny of Lot, he separated and disconnected him from his godly uncle, Abraham.

  1. Failure in Responsibility

This is the failure to do what is expected, or playing a role that is not yours to play. It leads to a crash of destiny. Eve came to the point where she was taking decision on behalf of the family. The administration of the Garden of Eden was handed over by God to Adam even before Eve was created (Genesis 2:15-18). They crashed in destiny because they decided to turn upside down the pattern of Jehovah. Eve overstepped her bounds and Adam underplayed his role.

Remember this: Isolation is the foundation for temptation.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to fall into the temptation of doing anything without God. Make God the Centre of your life.
  2. Be responsible. Remain where God has assigned you to be per time.
  3. Maintain godly and relevant company for destiny fulfilment; don’t be isolated.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: AVOIDING THE CRASH OF DESTINY.

PRAYER: Father, in the Name of Jesus, I refuse to exist independent of You Lord. Help me Lord to fulfil my destiny, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Psalm 100-102

QUOTE: Deficiency and shortage in life is a product of existing independent of God. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

REFLECTION: Do you crave independence of God? How far can an aircraft fly being out of touch with the control tower? Saint Augustine said, “God created man for Himself and our souls can find no rest until we rest in Him”

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The Lord help you never to have a crash of destiny in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Selfless Ministry

DCLM Daily Manna

DCLM Daily Manna 11 June 2021 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Selfless Ministry

TOPIC: Selfless Ministry

TEXT: Romans 15:23-30

23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;

24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

KEY VERSE: “But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.” – (Romans 15:25)

MESSAGE:

Paul, in the passage today, demonstrated how dedicated and addicted he was to the service of the Lord. He was committed to preaching the gospel anywhere, everywhere as well as ministering to the needs of the saints. Through his singular effort and in partnership with others of like-precious faith, he spared no effort, nor counted any sacrifice too dear to make in order to ensure the spread of the gospel. He did not consider any distance too long from Rome to Spain via Jerusalem having touched all areas in the Roman empire. Paul was full of enthusiasm, hope and high expectations as he trusted in Him who has said, “Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world”. He was also resilient; not reclining when he suffered any setback. Even his foreknowledge of possible danger from them that do not believe did not make him to recoil. All these and more are the secrets of his ministerial successes. It demonstrate the spirit all evangelists should have.

Many churches and ministries concentrate today on cities where the land had been cultivated and the work of evangelism is less challenging and quickly ‘rewarding’. Individuals tend to avoid challenging terrains when on evangelistic outreaches. Sadly, evangelism is not included in the ever-busy schedules of some Christians today. They are always too busy with secular work that has no eternal value. Yet “Only one life… only what’s done for Christ will last!”

Paul’s life is a challenge to an average Christian today. He was a man of like-passion but was successful in ministering because he counted all but dung for the glory of God. He was ready to go anywhere God led. We may not always know where He will lead us to but the choice is ours to follow.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
When He leads, we surely can never be misled.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

Lyrics: Gush By Dami Maverick Ft. Kunle Kenny, Defayo, Fidel & Fiyin Adeniyi

And be not drunk with wine wherein is excess
But be filled with the Spirit
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs
Gush after gush
Wave after wave
Holy Ghost, rain
Gush after gush
Wave after wave
Holy Ghost, rain

(Tongues)
The days of your glory are here
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

(Tongues)
There is an overflow
An overflow in me
There is a well deep
Deeper than the oceans

(Tongues)
Oh I am drenched
I am drenched by the rain of the Spirit
Hallelujah
For with stammering lips and another tongue
He will speak to these people
To whom He said
This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest
And this is the refreshing…
Glossolalia

(Tongues)
I am one with Christ
I am joined to Christ
I am the temple of the Holy Spirit
I am in the fullness of the Father
I am drenched in the overflow
This is where I live
I am at home in His fullness
My eyes are flooded with light
I am washed by the Spirit’s rain

(Tongues)
I’ve taken of the water
I’ve taken, I’ve tasted
I’ve drunk and I’m full
Never thirst again
Never thirst again
Oh oh oh oh oh
That’s what it is
It’s who I am
I’m full
I’m full of the water
Oh oh oh oh oh
Lazarus is awakened
We have received deathless life
The prodigal son has returned home
He has been fed
He has been clothed
Not a servant
Now a son

Going Higher – Tohyeen

Going Higher - Tohyeen

Gospel music minister Tohyeen comes back with a new praise-declarative single titled “Higher.”

It is a Pop-Rock fusion, pacy with a tone of excitement as Tohyeen bares her confidence in the belief that as we continue to look on Jesus, the only way to go is up!

This echoes the book of Corinthians 3:18:

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Renew Your Inner Man, Charge Your Faith

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 10 June 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche – Renew Your Inner Man, Charge Your Faith

TOPIC: Renew Your Inner Man, Charge Your Faith

Your inner man has the responsibility of managing the adversities of life.

SCRIPTURE: For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your inner man has the responsibility of managing the adversities of life.

It is clear that we are in one of the most critical times in the history of the world. The Bible calls it perilous times, that is, strength-reducing times (2 Timothy 3:1).

Now, at a time like this, what do you do?

One of the important things to do at a time like this is the renewal of our inner man. We are to renew our inward man day-by-day. The reason is that people faint in life when the inward man is empty. It does not matter what happens around a person, if he can take care of the inward man, the inward man will take care of the outward man and the outward circumstances. It is only when you are charged that you can take charge.

Beloved, the condition of your inner man determines the welfare of your outer man.

No wonder, Proverbs 18:14 says, The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

What is the meaning of that to you? Your inner man is the first responder to the challenges of your life. Your inner man has the responsibility of managing the adversities of life. The spirit man is wired to handle challenges but when the spirit itself is broken or diseased, what is the destiny of the person?

Beloved, what you have been doing with your spirit will determine what the challenges of life will do to you.

In our world today, it is the material things that take the major bulk of people’s time and attention, but what is most important is the state of one’s spirit. So, it is important to renew the inward man day-by-day.

Now, how do you renew your inward man?

You feed it fat with the Word of God. You exercise it strong in prayer. Charge your faith with God’s word. When faith is charged, fear is discharged and the spirit takes charge.

Remember this: Your inner man has the responsibility of managing the adversities of life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Take out time to pray in the Spirit in order to charge your inner man.
  2. Consistently study the Word of God and trust God for light that will light up your inner man.
  3. Refuse to live in guilt.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: WE FAINT NOT

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to remain on fire for You. Lord, I reject lukewarmness and lethargy, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Psalm 97-99

QUOTE: The presence of darkness is to be blamed on the absence of light. Culled from, “THOU ART MY BATTLE AXE” by Dr Paul Enenche.

REFLECTION: F.F. Bosworth once said, “People wonder why they can’t exercise active faith in God, when they feed their bodies with three hot meals a day but feed their spirit with one cold snack a week”. Many well-fed people physically are dry, asthenic and emaciated spiritually. What is the state and size of your spirit?

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Fresh grace and discipline to renew the inner man is released on you today in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Faithfulness, Please!

DCLM Daily Manna

DCLM Daily Manna 10 June 2021 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Faithfulness, Please!

TOPIC: Faithfulness, Please!

TEXT: 1 Chronicles 9:14-22

14 And of the Levites; Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

15 And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

16 And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

17 And the porters were, Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chief;

18 Who hitherto waited in the king’s gate eastward: they were porters in the companies of the children of Levi.

19 And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.

20 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.

21 And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

22 All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.

KEY VERSE: “And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.” – (1 Chronicles 9:20)

MESSAGE:

Some people came to this life unsung, unknown and without any impact in the kingdom of God. Many struggle so much to have their names in the book of “Who is Who” in the world while others want to be renowned in the fields of sports, science, literature and poetry, technology, politics, entertainment and social media. All these will pass with time. Christians should strive more to ensure that their names are in God’s record.

The writer of the book of Chronicles listed some notable people as officials in the house of God. God recognises everything we do for Him whether great or small. He recognised His servants in the city and the ones that dwelt in the villages. There is no place, no matter how remote to man, that is hidden from God. He recognised even the ‘porters’ and the gate keepers! God also acknowledged the ‘rulers’. He acknowledges and rewards only faithfulness in service (Matthew 25:21). The Lord was with Phinehas because of his faithfulness and zeal. Finally, the Chronicler noted that even occupiers of the office of porters in the villages waited in their numbers as ordained by their successive leaders – Samuel and later, David.

All believers today are called to God’s service. Whatever we are called upon to do, we should do it heartily, knowing that God is the rewarder of our service. Even if what we are called to do is insignificant from the human perspective, God’s balances are different from men’s and He is the rewarder. Therefore, in our diligence, we should remain in His service, since we serve God and not man.

Are we mindful of serving God and ensuring that our names are in His book? Are we faithful in service? Let us learn the more excellent way; consistent faithfulness is all He wants.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
It’s not how big but how well.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
2 Samuel 13-14
