Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – More Keys To Experiencing The Peace Of God

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds of Destiny 28 September 2020 Devotional By Pastor Paul Enenche — More Keys To Experiencing The Peace Of God

Topic: More Keys To Experiencing The Peace Of God

Spending quality time in the presence of God is doorway to peace. People who carry the presence of God walk in unspeakable peace; when you come around them, you feel the serenity of Heaven.

SCRIPTURE: Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Job 22:21

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Spending quality time in the Presence of God is doorway to peace.

Yesterday, we saw three demands or keys to experiencing the peace of God.

Today, we shall consider more keys to experiencing the peace of God.

  1. Intimacy with God

Everyone who hangs around fire must feel warm. For instance, if you stay around the kitchen for a while, people would begin to perceive the aroma of food around you. In the same way, when you stay around the Presence of the God of peace, you will experience His peace. The Presence of God is a container of peace. It is a dimension of peace that is devoid of worry and pressure!

Spending quality time in the presence of God is doorway to peace. People who carry the presence of God walk in unspeakable peace; when you come around them, you feel the serenity of Heaven. When you connect yourself with God in intimacy, you will be at peace in life (Job 22:21). When you come to Jesus, you will find peace (Matthew 11:28-29). He is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).

Many times, when people come to see me in my office, they say, “I feel unusual peace; everywhere is peaceful. There is nothing that suggests any problem.” That is the raw unadulterated Presence of God. It gives serenity; it gives a kind of tranquillity that makes you forget that there is any challenge in this world.

  1. Hearkening to God’s Word and Commandment

Lovers of the Book of God are carriers of the peace of God (Psalm 119:165). Distance from the Bible is distance from peace. People who love the Word of God have great peace – whether it is by reading the Bible or by listening to the preached Word. You will have peace if you listen to God’s Word (Proverbs 3:1-2). So, make up your mind to study God’s Word.

  1. Access to the Voice of God

This is hearing God for a specific direction. Following the direction of God for your life brings peace (Psalms 23:1-2).

If God is leading you, peace is not negotiable. The leading of God makes peace automatic. To follow the way of the Lord is to collide with peace (Psalm 85:8, Isaiah 48:18). If you listen to Jesus, you will have peace in the world of tribulation (John 16:33).

Please know this: God is not in anything you do that deprives you of peace. It does not matter how excited you are or how fanciful it appears, if you lack peace, God is not in it. Peace is a proof of Divine guidance. (Colossians 3:15).

My counsel is, let the peace of God rule your life as an umpire. Let the peace of Christ be your guide in life.

Remember this: Spending quality time in the Presence of God is doorway to peace.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to spend quality time with God at the place of prayer.
  2. Read your Bible, listen to preached messages and obey God’s Word.
  3. Access specific Divine direction for your daily living.

PRAYER: O Lord, I thank You once again for showing me the keys to experiencing your peace in my life. I ask for the grace to do all it takes to experience Your peace, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE PEACE OF GOD.

QUOTE: The God that gives the Word also gives a sign. Many people have died earlier than they should, with God watching. He could not do anything about it because He would not break His principles. He had given all the signs and they ignored them. Culled from “15 KINGDOM PRINCIPLES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Habakkuk 2-Zephaniah 1

AMAZING FACT: Ants are pretty darn tidy. Worker ants have been known to take rubbish outside the nest to a dumping point! Each ant colony has its own special scent. This way, they can smell intruders!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Proceed into a higher level of intimacy and relationship with God by the help of God, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Blessings Of Understanding God’s Word

DCLM Daily Manna

Topic: Blessings Of Understanding God’s Word [DCLM Daily Manna 28 September 2020 Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Nehemiah 8:9-18 (KJV)

9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.

10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

11 So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.

12 And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.

13 And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.

14 And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:

15 And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.

16 So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.

17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

18 Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

Key Verse: “And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.” – (Nehemiah 8:12)

MESSAGE:

Satan knows that understanding God’s word leads to a good decision (most times), if one surrenders his life to Christ which in turn determines his eternal destiny. Therefore, he attacks that understanding by taking the Word away through distractions, suggestions and so on. He also does a lot to paint true believers as hypocrites, non-conformists, fanatical or even outright criminals all in attempt to prevent people from hearing and receiving the gospel message.

The returnee Jewish exiles had been taught the Scriptures as Ezra the scribe read unto them from the Law of Moses in Jerusalem. Many who obviously were born in Babylon had never heard the Scriptures read. As the Word was read and explained, the people broke down in tears because they understood they had gone against God’s law, but they were advised not to mourn but celebrate for it was a holy day. Further reading later revealed the necessity for keeping the feast of tabernacles which they duly observed.

The difference between light and darkness, freedom and bondage is knowledge. Knowledge rightly applied brings about liberation. God was displeased because His people perished for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Lack of proper knowledge has caused billions of people eternal damnation in hell fire. Inspired by Satan, many have followed the errors of false prophets. But God instructs all men to “buy the truth and sell it not” (Proverbs 23:23).

Because every man is a free moral agent, it is then the responsibility of each one to seek the truth, know it and appropriate it. Truth leads a man in the path of victory. The Bible is God’s Book that reveals the truth to man; buy it, study it, obey it and you will be glad you did.

Thought For The Day: Understanding God’s word is real blessing.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Accessing Divine Instructions

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds of Destiny 25 September 2020 Devotional By Pastor Paul Enenche — Accessing Divine Instructions

Topic: Accessing Divine Instructions

There is knowledge in stillness. There is something to know when you are at peace. If you are still, you will know…

SCRIPTURE: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The peace of God attracts instruction, revelation and direction from God.

In our previous studies, we saw two reasons why peace is needed in our lives. We saw that peace is needed to confront and conquer certain storms that may arise in our journey of life. We also saw that we need peace or rest from anxiety for God to work in our lives.

Now, another reason why peace is needed is that the peace of God attracts instruction, revelation and direction from God. Psalms 46:10 says, Be still, and know that I am God…

There is knowledge in stillness. There is something to know when you are at peace. If you are still, you will know…

Numbers 9:8 says, And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.

This means, if there is too much tension and worry around you, you can’t hear anything from God. When you stand still, you will hear. So, calm down! Moses seemed to say to the children of Israel, “Your noise is disrupting my hearing. Your worry is disrupting my hearing. Your tension is disrupting my hearing from God. Stand still! Calm down! And I will hear.”

Isaiah 55:12 says, For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

So, if you need to be led, you can only be led while peace is in place. You shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. So, God is saying to you, “Calm down! Let me talk to you. Calm down, let me show you who I AM. Just calm down! Your mind is like a football field – too many things are running through it. You are just roaming up and down. Calm down!”

The peace of God is the fountain of true joy. And you know that joy is key to strength. You cannot have joy if you lack peace. Proverbs 12:20 says, Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

This means, there is joy for those who possess peace and offer it to others.

Romans 15:13 says, Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace…

Beloved, when God fills you with joy, it goes with peace. It is impossible to have joy when you lack peace. It is impossible to be excited in anxiety. It is impossible to be happy when you are anxious. It is impossible to have joy when you are concerned about everything. Therefore, make up your mind to have peace at all cost.

Remember this: The peace of God attracts instruction, revelation and direction from God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make the choice for peace instead of worrying.
  2. Refuse for your heart to be occupied with the worries of this life.
  3. Endeavour to remain still and calm in the face of all circumstances so as to access Divine direction.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to be still so I can access Your instructions, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE PEACE OF GOD.

QUOTE: Peace of heart is a referee. When peace’s whistle blows, then you can go ahead. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Micah 3-5

AMAZING FACT: Ants have compound eyes, which allow them to see movement very well.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive the peace of God that guarantees Divine instruction in your life in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – God’s Comforting Words

DCLM Daily Manna

Topic: God’s Comforting Words [DCLM Daily Manna 25 September 2020 Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Jeremiah 30:1-14 (KJV)

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

3 For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

4 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

5 For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

11 For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

12 For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

Key Verse: “For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.” – (Jeremiah 30:3)

MESSAGE:

The grand plan of God for Israel as His people was to give them peace, rest and quietness throughout their habitations and at all times. But such plan was often truncated each time as the nation of Israel dabbled into sin and rebellion against Him. Divine reaction to such actions was to reject Israel and their ever-waiting enemies would attack and pummel them until they realised and repented of their sins.

Out text today captures one of such occasions wherein God through His prophet, Jeremiah, resolved to bring back again to Israel her captives and reestablish them a happy, healthy and progressive people.

The Lord instructed the prophet to write down in a book all the words He had commanded him concerning Israel (Jeremiah 30:2). This showed that nothing would ever change of all that He has promised and indeed resolved to do for His people. This fact is comforting. It assures all believers in Christ of God’s unchanging promises. Specifically, He assured Israel of return, rest and freedom from fear of their enemies and divine presence in the Promised Land (Jeremiah 30:10,11).

The salvation and deliverance the Israelites enjoyed in part are today available to us in full through the redemptive work of Christ. Therefore, faithful pilgrims should soar on like the eagles and savour life and peace in Christ Jesus who alone is the captain of our band.

Thought For The Day: God alone gives us peace like a river.

Speaking about the song, Kayode Omosa wrote;

“As a child carries the genes and reflects the same nature of the parents, so are we a reflection of our everlasting father – Christ Jesus; in like manner our song must be a reflection of our identity in Christ. Whatever He has, the same we have and whatsoever is not in Him is not found in us and that’s why we are bold to sing “Wuruwuru No Dey'”

We are growing in the Lord everyday
Growing in the Lord

We are reigning in the Lord everyday

Jesus plus nothing
Equals to all things
If you add Jesus plus something the answer will be nothing

[Music + Lyrics] Ojemba – Don Moore

Ojemba - Don Moore

Gospel recording artiste, Don Moore releases a new Gospel Highlife single titled “Ojemba.”

He shares the story behind the song:
“This is one of the songs that God gave me free of charge but I never took it seriously in the first place. I have many songs alike to the extent that all the songs I sing at home for some couple of years now were all composed by me but I never thought of taking this dream seriously until the coronavirus outbreak which resulted in total lockdown. This gave me the opportunity to put more time to this dream which resulted in me going to the studio to make this dream a reality.

“It all happened like a dream to the extent that God started warning me that no amount of goodness or holy life on earth will make me to inherit his Kingdom if I fail to sing for him. God has given to me so many songs free of charge, and here am I today trying to do what God has instructed me to do and I am highly delighted to see this dream come true, and I thank God for that.”

The song was produced by certified hitmaker, Dr Roy.
